Let’s see. Six progressive groups were flagged for extra scrutiny by the IRS, while out of 292 tea party groups that applied for special tax-exempt status ALL 292 groups were flagged.

Inspector General Russell George:
“Our audit did not find evidence that the IRS used the ‘progressives’ identifier as selection criteria for potential political cases between May 2010 and May 2012,” George wrote in the letter obtained by The Hill.
The inspector general also stressed that 100 percent of the groups with “Tea Party,” “patriots” and “9/12” in their name were flagged for extra attention.
“While we have multiple sources of information corroborating the use of Tea Party and other related criteria we described in our report, including employee interviews, e-mails and other documents, we found no indication in any of these other materials that ‘progressives’ was a term used to refer cases for scrutiny for political campaign intervention,” George wrote to Levin, the top Democrat on the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee…
George’s letter says that the “progressive” identifier on BOLO lists was not in a section used for selecting potential political cases, and that the IRS had developed inappropriate criteria to flag Tea Party applicants as potentially political.
So why was the new IRS director, Danny Werfel, out and about trying to spread misinformation?
Why, because that’s what the Obama administration does best.
Just like the lie that all these groups were flagged because they saw a huge increase of applications. Sounds great until you find out the flagging began BEFORE the surge.

There’s still no evidence of any intentional wrongdoing on the part of any IRS employee, nor is there evidence of the assertion that the White House was in any way involved. None whatsoever. You’d think people would be able to grasp such a simple point.
Of course, you’d also expect people to easily grasp why any group applying for a tax exemption that’s contingent upon not being political would likely get a closer look if its name included words that any attentive person instantly associates with conservative political activism.
That doesn’t seem to be happening either.
Perhaps the Progressive groups were suspected of being agents provocateurs; in other words, conservative groups posing as progressive to get agree pass. It is a common devise employed by the Leftists, like the Soros funded faux conservative/religious groups telling us what a great idea the amnesty bill was going to be.
The irony is that the media lets Obama get away with anything and everything. Here is just another prime example. No longer is there freedom of speech. Instead, we have the Obama propaganda machine. Joseph Goebbels would be so proud.

I think several people on the right have agreed with you on this. Anyone applying for tax exempt status should be looked at closely. Now you have failed to address the rest of it.
Does that include an IRS official telling a pro life group that they will approve their 501(c) status as long as all the officers sign a statement saying they will not protest planned parenthood or abortion clinics?
Asking the group to provide the names of the donors, contributors, and grantors. … The amounts of each of the donations, contributions, and grants and the dates you received them.
I could keep going or you can just Google “questions IRS asked TEA Party groups.”
Answer that question and I think you find that someone at the IRS did indeed do something wrong.
The real irony is how intelligent people-even in the face of overwhelming evidence- deny any IRS wrong-doing. Talk about putting your head in the sand! Plus, I’m tired of their facetious arguments that give only half-truths. This is another prime example of how liberal can’t face the truth.

The Barack Obama Foundation received their tax exempt status before they even applied for it. The approval was done retroactively. The organization isn’t at the address listed on the application. Nothing to investigate here. Your thoughts please.

I strongly suggest getting an Apple computer. I haven’t heard of any Apple user that went back to a PC. They
Google tracks you, and edits its contents so you can’t go to sites they don’t want you to. They also delete content they don’t want you to see. They also donate heavily to the obama campaign. I suggest putting, “search engines that don’t track you,” in your browser and pick from any of them. I am finding all the info I want from the one I use. I can always use Google, Bing, or Yahoo if the one I use wouldn’t have the info I am looking for.
I installed Norton Internet Security because there are some virus for the Mac, and it stops sites from tracking me. On this comment page it is blocking:

but my laptop was dead, and my ibm which my niece work for many years on it had work but died also, even my printer is of no use because the little window is faded,
so this week I will get a new laptop,
the technician let me have his computer in the mean time.

I don’t know much about computers. I do email, Internet searches, word processing, and few other things with it. Computers are like cars: You should buy the one YOU want. Be sure and check with your computer guy to make sure that if your PC comes with Windows 8 in it, that all of the bugs have been worked out. There have been problems with it. Also, ask him if your 3rd party programs will run on Windows 8, and if they don’t, will it will cost to update them.
