Is It Unfair To Blame The Administration For Boston’s Terror Because They Ignored Multiple Warnings

Terrorists must strike without warning and deliver maximum effectiveness in a short period of time to be effective. The Boston Terrorists were fairly successful, but thankfully, most of them are stupid and don’t realize how to create far deadlier explosive devices with more readily available chemicals.

However, if we note how the welfare coddled bastards from Chechnya were far less effective than say a former military man with basic explosive skills and a head for tactics could have been, we must also note the Keystone Cops appearance of Obama’s FBI, they received multiple warnings from Russia, some from as recently as last November, and they were caught with their trousers around their ankles. Is it not the president who sets policy for the FBI and Homeland Security? We were told by Janet Napoitano, the president can decide which laws to enforce and which ones to ignore; obviously, policy dictates potential Jihadists should be ignored as well. Should we consider the FBI incompetent because they had Tamerlane on two watch lists and let him commit this attack on our citizens?

Michael McCaul, the chair of House Homeland Security Committee, said the FBI must explain why it failed to keep track of Tsarnaev after the 2011 interview, particularly after he visited his family in Dagestan, which is a known centre of Islamist militancy and training facilities.
“If he [Tamerlan Tsarnaev] was on the radar and they let him go, if he was on the Russians’ radar, why wasn’t a flag put on him, some sort of customs flag?” Mr McCaul asked on CNN, adding that there were clear signs that Tsarnaev had been radicalised during his trip.

“One of the first things he does [upon his return] is puts up a YouTube website throwing out a lot of jihadist rhetoric. Clearly something happened, in my judgment, in that six-month timeframe – he radicalised at some point in time,” Mr McCaul added. “Where was that and how did that happen?”

In a further sign that Tsarnaev’s record was in the US security apparatus, the New York Times reported that a “hold” had been placed on his citizenship request by the Department of Homeland Security after routine background checks discovered the FBI’s former interest in him.

The FBI has also not explained why it did not immediately retrieve the Tsarnaev file after the bombs exploded on Monday afternoon – an event which should have triggered routine checks on those suspected of involvement in with Islamist militant groups.

Governor Patrick of Massachusetts is refusing to release the welfare records of the brothers, stating that the information isn’t for the general public. This doesn’t really fly when an Obama Phone may have been used as a detonator.

We have an immigration policy that is a mockery of common sense and the Welfare System has become a Democratic ploy for buying votes with brothers like these able bodied young men who were nothing more than parasites to the system, until they could strike back in anger. Many people are asking, how many of these potential maniacs are being allowed to conspire their Jihad dreams while drawing food stamps, getting public assistance, and Obama Phones.

The administration might not have any idea; since, they seem to dwell on a nonexistent threat from veterans rather than the homicidal maniacs who are killing people.

It is time for the president to quit with the celebrity parties, concerts, vacations, and golf, and get serious about real terrorists from a certain religion. It is time for him to appoint new leadership in our federal agencies and get serious about protecting Americans or we might as well be prepared to endure many more Boston Marathon attacks and be consoled by visiting our loved ones in hospitals while our Partier in Chief has a blast in the White House.

Instead of finding new leadership for a bunch of useless federal agencies, here are my suggestions:
1. Defund and dissolve the entire Homeland Security Apparatus, firing Napolitano first. The agencies under that umbrella that are still necessary, like the INS and Border Patrol go back to their original independent state. FEMA goes on its own as well, although greatly reduced in size. TSA goes away.
2. Develop a working liaison between local, state and federal law enforcement. The hard part of that would be eliminating the whole “I am better than you because I’m a fed” attitude and burying the ego issues associated with getting credit for the investigatory work done by the group (I could site a zillion examples of the ego problem, from 9/11/01 back to the OJ case and beyond).
3. Build an information clearing house for terrorism, like the DEA has for dope. Just an info and analysis organization that connects the dots.
That would be a start, and additionally would reduce the massive expense of duplicate efforts.

Skook,

First and foremost, yes we can blame the administration. However, the real culprit is the Politically Correct, don’t insult mindless brain set that is now the norm in this country. Can’t call an Islamic terrorist a terrorist. Ft. Hood is “workplace violence” . One must feel the pain of the terrorist and his or hers victimization due to society, upbringing or whatever. And of course one must never call someone what they are in reality. This administration (and others before) are always caught in openly blatant lies. in turn, the lies are told over and over by the co-opted media to buttress the administration’s lame case. In turn this administration more than any other in my lifetime now refuses to use “terms” that describe something (Islamic Terrorist for example) in real terms, choosing to instead plant what I feel is a false reality into people’s minds. Bottom line here, until the powers that be face the reality of the situation which is that Muslim radicals are at war and have no intention of backing down, we will continue to suffer from episodes such as Boston. As you said above, we’re much to busy going after the people who are standing up to the tyranny this administration and most of our elected leaders are foisting on the public.

Change of pace here. Derby Week! You know where my head is this week Skook. 🙂

@Scott in Oklahoma: Agree wholeheartedly with your #1.

In #2 – the problem is with the word “working” which you italicised correctly — will never happen — I had an uncle that was an investigator on fire insurance fraud cases back in the 1950-1960’s — he told me in 1963 that he absolutely dreaded the FBI getting involved in any case because it would just turn it into a political gumball — “working” will never “work” except temporarily until the ratbastards can infiltrate and compromise things — witness the FBI/CIA/Benghazi?Boston BS — not to mention the old Gorelick wall set up by the democRATS.

Actually you point out in your discussion of #2 that the first sentence is kind of a dream.

The Fed’s focus needs to be turned around to the outside of the country while the states take care of their internal matters.

@joetote:

the lies are told over and over by the co-opted media

I would not be so sure that it might not be the powers behind the “media” having co-opted the government. How else would you explain that they are all on the same page — and then vilify Fox as if it were some extremist news org – when in fact their “fair and balance” has largely been BS — with a mostly central leftist slant. NOTE: Left == all collectivist and mind control and voluntary slavery utopian ‘isms.

@Budvarakbar: Whether government co-opted and /or media co-opted as to the government, the fact remains the media as a whole are in fact the propaganda arm of this administration. I do believe the talking point do in fact emanate from the White House and or their lackeys. While I would agree in fact that the media itself is mostly run by hard left biased people, the main point now come from our leaders.

having said that, I can however agree with the premise to a good degree. One only has to read or watch the politically correct, leftist slanted bile that oozes from the MSM to realize that indeed the people running those organizations do in fact have a hard left agenda and they are more than willing to bombard the electorate with the telling of the big lie until the electorate believes it. However as I have said in the past, in the end this will bite them in the ass for as soon as the so called leaders get their dictatorial policies in place,they will then go after the now “useless” propaganda arm known as the MSM.

@joetote: The media has been almost 100% leftest since the 1960’s — even before – do not forget the media led attacks on McCarthy — who has been proven to have been correct since then — re the commie infiltration.

Fox has a “central-leftist” slant? That would be funny if it weren’t so delusional.

Everyone who voted for Obama is to blame!

I don’t know how our media and liberals in office can remain so knowingly ignorant of how Muslims think.
For instance, an oft-quoted Muslim spokesman is Ehsanullah Ehsan of Pakistan.
He has made is very clear.
A man cannot be secular and Muslim at the same time. These are two different doctrines in nature.”
Thus Ehsan justified the multiple bombings of secular political parties in Pakistan.
Guys like Ehsan are very influential in inciting individual Muslims to even suicidal violence.
The fact that they are satisfying an Islamic obligation makes it that much easier.

Taking an extraordinary interest in Islam leads to violent acts.
Taking an extraordinary interest in Protestantism, Catholicism, Judaism, Quakerism, LDSism, Hinduism, etc., does not.

@Nan G: That is a stunningly ignorant claim.

@SkippingDog:

@Nan G: That is a stunningly ignorant claim.

Really? Why don’t you name the Islamic nation where Christians, Jews, et al, are allowed to practice their religion in peace? Or are you so uninformed that you haven’t read how Christians are fleeing Egypt, Syria and Turkey in droves because their churches are being burned and they are being persecuted? Oh, wait, wasn’t Turkey the model of tolerance? Ask the Armenians.

The answer to your question is Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and, for the most part, in Pakistan.

The Persecution.org site has an interactive map where you can view persecution events by year and month.

How about the fact that even though they were on the terror watch list, becasue of the NRA, they still could buy guns?

@This one:

How about the fact that even though they were on the terror watch list, becasue of the NRA, they still could buy guns?

And you know the brothers bought those guns how?

They had ONLY one 9mm pistol with the serial number ground off. They did not buy that at a gun show! They might even have got that one from Eric Holder, 2000 guns that he put in criminal hands are still in circulation.

@Nan G: Terrorism and killing of other sect moslems and infidels are sacraments in Islam — make no mistake.@This one: What do you mean gun(s) — they only had one — get back to us when you find out where they “bought” it.

Prediction and suspicion are two ends of the same problem. In a free country—like ours and other Western nations—we must balance what a person my be thinking as judged by their actions, and the actions themselves; thus the concept of Thought Police in the book “1984”. Unfortunately, it seems that the radical right believes more in control based on what an individual ‘may be thinking’, instead of what they are doing—the former being the attitude of a police state. In our form of democratic/republic you’re punished when there’s enough evidence that a person is acting on their assumed intention. Unfortunately, this method is prone to false positives; but that’s the consequences of a free country.

@Liberal1 (Objectivity):

Unfortunately, it seems that the radical right believes more in control based on what an individual ‘may be thinking’, instead of what they are doing

Was it the right that gave us ridiculous “hate” crime laws based on nothing but giving a jury the ability to determine what a person was “thinking” at the time of the crime? Murder is murder and it has nothing to do with what the [poor] criminal was thinking at the time. We don’t punish thought; we punish actions. But leave it up to the Gestapo left and all that will change.

Left1(Misdirection) is projecting, again.

“1984” was about Global control by the Left-Wing.
