Recently Obama played the guilt card in his campaign for gun control as he cranked up the tears.
President Obama made an emotional plea for Congress to pass gun-control legislation, telling the political world “shame on us” if it has forgotten the 26 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School less than 100 days ago.
“Shame on us if we’ve forgotten,” Obama said Thursday at a White House event where he was flanked by more than a dozen mothers whose children were the victims of gun violence.
The president paused for effect several times in his remarks, stating: “I haven’t forgotten those kids. Shame on us if we’ve forgotten.”
Characteristically, Obama reminds us that he might be the only person on Earth who hasn’t forgotten Newtown. Yet he might also have described those children as “fetus(es) outside of the womb” and there are a bunch of kids he seems to have forgotten about back in Chicago.
Exactly what age do children have to reach before they are no longer forgotten by Obama?
The Weekly Standard posted a video in which Planned Parenthood argues in favor of infanticide. From that video:
Florida legislators considering a bill to require abortionists to provide medical care to an infant who survives an abortion were shocked during a committee hearing this week when a Planned Parenthood official endorsed a right to post-birth abortion.
Alisa LaPolt Snow, the lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified that her organization believes the decision to kill an infant who survives a failed abortion should be left up to the woman seeking an abortion and her abortion doctor.
“So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief,” said Rep. Jim Boyd. “If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?”
“We believe that any decision that’s made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician,” said Planned Parenthood lobbyist Snow.
Rep. Daniel Davis then asked Snow, “What happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?”
“I do not have that information,” Snow replied. “I am not a physician, I am not an abortion provider. So I do not have that information.”
Rep. Jose Oliva followed up, asking the Planned Parenthood official, “You stated that a baby born alive on a table as a result of a botched abortion that that decision should be left to the doctor and the family. Is that what you’re saying?”
Again, Snow replied, “That decision should be between the patient and the health care provider.”
and then comes the hammer:
“I think that at that point the patient would be the child struggling on the table, wouldn’t you agree?” asked Oliva.
“That’s a very good question. I really don’t know how to answer that,” Snow said. “I would be glad to have some more conversations with you about this.”
Later another representative asked Snow, “What objection could you possibly have to obligate a doctor to transport a child born alive to a hospital where it seems to me they would be most likely to be able to survive?”
Snow said Planned Parenthood was concerned about “those situations where it is in a rural health care setting, the hospital is 45 minutes or an hour away, that’s the closest trauma center or emergency room. You know there’s just some logistical issues involved that we have some concerns about.”
Logistics.
In the warped Planned Parenthood universe “logistical issues” decide whether any effort ought to be made to save a life. (Think of the ramifications this could hold for Obamacare) Planned Parenthood loves abortion. It’s big business. They want to open abortion centers in schools and would open an abortion center in everyone’s home if permitted.

While in the Illinois state legislature, Barack Obama voted against saving abortion surviving babies four times.
As can be seen on the vote docket, Obama first voted to amend SB1082 to add the “neutrality clause” from the federal version of Born Alive to the IL version to make them absolutely identical. (DP#1 means “Do Pass Amendment #1.)
Then Obama voted against the identical version. (DPA means, “Do Pass as Amended.)

For 4 years following his 2003 vote Obama misrepresented it, stating the wording of the IL version of Born Alive was not the same as the federal version, and he would have voted for it if so. As recently as August 16, 2008, Obama made this false assertion.
But when evidence presented was irrefutable, Obama’s campaign on August 18, 2008, admitted the truth to the New York Sun.
The nonpartisan group FactCheck.org has since corroborated Obama voted against identical legislation as passed overwhelmingly on the federal level and then misrepresented his vote.

And what was the justification for letting those children die?
“That if that fetus, or child, however you want to describe it, is now outside of the mother’s womb and the doctor continues to think that it’s non viable but there’s lets say movement or some indication that they’re not just coming out limp and dead that in fact they would then have to call in a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved?”
Oh, bother.
Kermit Gosnell, who has to be a Planned Parenthood hero, is accused of making sure abortion-surviving children died- by cutting their spines with scissors.
Obama “weeps” for the children of Newtown but is completely unmoved by the deaths of the abortion survivor babies.
$500 million of your tax dollars go to an organization that espouses infanticide.
Liberals don’t mind children dying. They just want them killed with something other than assault rifles. Handguns, shotguns, curettes and forceps are all acceptable. In Barack Obama’s case, neglect will do.

I am a neonatologist. My entire job is working to save babies born as early as 23 weeks gestational age (4 months before term). Planned Parenthood is an evil, eugenics-based organization whose founder, Margaret Sanger, is documented to have written letters calling for Black religious leaders to be used to propagandize for abortion as a means of eradicating the black race. The fact that this history has been so blatantly hidden from the origin of this despicable group shows how far gone our nation is.
From a purely scientific standpoint, the fusion of ovum with spermatocyte results in the creaation of a completely unique human being with 46 totally unique chromosomes, half from each parent. The union of those two gametes is uncontrovertably the starting point of a new, separate human life. The attempt by the pro-abortionists to cloud this basic scientific fact is nothing more than a poor, evil attempt at making excuses to justify killing what they view as inconvenient. To argue that the fertilized ovum is not a human being because it is dependent on the mother is nothing more than deliberate philosophical blindness. A newborn infant at term is dependent on mother (and father, hopefully) for feeding, shelter and clothing. The reprehensible answers of this PP hack spokesperson is a glaring screaming neon indication of how utterly contemptible these people are. They cannot admit that the born alive infant of a botched abortion/murder attempt should have all the protections of any other human, because it opens the discourse up to re-evaluate their entire reason for existing as a company.
On another note, I find the “Keep your rosaries off my ovaries” crowd advising women that vomitting and urinating on oneself to deal with being raped is better than having a firearm to protect oneself from a rapist to be an excruciatingly hypocritical bit of sheer evil. But anyone paying attention to the left’s activities cannot help but to see how upside-down their understanding of reality actually is. The disgustingly obnoxious state representative from Dallas (a sanctuary city violating federal immigration laws) calling for legislation to fire sherriffs who refuse to confiscate law-abiding citizens’ firearms (in contravention of the Constitution) is another brilliant example of how a vote for any leftist is nothing short of political and cultural suicide.
Conservatives always feel a little bit better about themselves when they say something bad about others.
@Pete, thank you for what you do, I know that’s a tough job mentally and emotionally. We lost our preemie grandson, born 3 months early and died just about the time he was originally due. Carrying his little coffin from the hearse to the grave was one of the heaviest burdens I have ever carried. And your point at the end of your comment is spot-on.

How has every evil dictator in the world managed to impose oppression on his people? Devalue life; desensitize the living to the deaths of others. Hitler did it; Pol Pot did it; Castro did it; Mao did it. Once people are no longer impacted by the deaths of others (pick any group) then life becomes worthless and dictators rule.
No socialist society, ever, has been allowed to flourish when the citizens value all human life. But what we are seeing in the United States is the implementation of the Gramsci theory. And while the left demands that little Johnny and little Janie be taught how to put a condom on a banana, we on the conservative side are missing the boat. If kids are smart enough to be taught how to procreate by some liberal teacher, then they are smart enough to learn what happens when a male sperm reaches a female egg. And they should be shown videos of abortions, in all it’s gory detail. From saline abortions to the dissection of fetuses to remove them from the womb, to the shoving of a Metzanbaum scissors into the back of a baby’s skull to facilitate the suction removal of the brain.
But while the left with fight like rabid dogs to have classes in our schools that teach about homosexuality, they will fight like rabid dogs to keep kids from actually seeing videos of abortions. And so the devaluation of human life continues as we march ever closer to socialism.
While we’re about full “visual disclosure” I’m sure all here would agree the pictures of the bodies of the deceased children of Newtown should be made public. That carnage took less than 5 minutes.

We can explain to those students how the murderers violated the rights of the mother, since in our nation, only a mother is allowed to kill her child, well, at least with the help of unscrupulous doctors who took an oath to “do no harm.”
Just curious, why only Newtown? Why not the dead children in Chicago? Or perhaps the 13 month old child the media seems to not spend much time on who was callously shot directly in the face by two other kids? You seem to think the length of time it takes for carnage is more important than the carnage itself or that the deaths of dozens of kids at one time is more important than the deaths of dozens of kids over a couple of weeks.
