A Country Where Everything Is Free But Us

College graduates should not have to live out their 20s in their childhood bedrooms, staring up at fading Obama posters and wondering when they can move out and get going with life.

Just finished watching Paul Ryan’s awesome speech. If you haven’t seen it take 35 minutes and watch it.

Krauthammer, Rove and Hume after the speech:

Gotta put up Condi’s great speech also. Foreign policy and American exceptionalism.

The left didn’t like the speeches…shocker! But I find it quite interesting how much of the MSM is throwing out the racecards again….all in unison.

You didn’t really think Journolist went away did you?

The main theme has been the government is responsible for making everyone successful. American Thinker has a good commentary on that today! http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/08/the_last_line_of_defense_property.html

It will be interesting to hear what substance the DNC speeches will have. Let’s list the POSITIVE things Obama has accomplished for this country:

(1) He said that if he can’t turn the economy around in three years, he will be a one term president. Thank you! That’s the only GOOD thing about the lousy economy.

(2) (To be filled in when something else positive happens)

Chris@Hard Right:

Chris is as deranged as Alice’s March Hare,
Look! “birthers and racists!” they’re everywhere!
Louder and louder, his ranting it booms.
‘Tis time for his hosts to pad poor Mathew’s rooms.

@Ditto:
Good one.
And give him a nice jacket that makes him hug himself.

I wonder what colorful racial slurs the left will hurl at Condi.

@Ditto:, Susana Martinez gave a great speech. Since I know un poquito de la Lengua,I loved the “Spanish lingo” she tossed in: “El sueño Americano es tener éxito” (success is the American Dream).

@another vet:

I wonder what colorful racial slurs the left will hurl at Condi.

Oh, they already have: “Aunt Tom” and “House Nigger” come to mind. The left hasn’t changed from the Klan days, that’s for sure.

@Smorgasbord: If he did volunteer to be a 1 term president f he fails, that would be the only truth he tells!

And BTW, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez made an excellent delivery, and surprise, Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio actually gave Obama’s record great body blows.

Overall, it seems to me that some very talented, well spoken, solid and capable individuals have made a case at that podium which should move that middle kingdom of switch voters.

@Hard Right: #6
He doesn’t need a “Hug Myself” jacket. He is doing it quite well without one.

@John Cooper: #9
Black people aren’t supposed to be successful on their own, just with government help.

@Smorgasbord:

I think Hard Right means the white ones with all the fancy straps and buckles. We should get one for Biden too.

@Randy: #10
I agree.

And about CLINT, too many idiots from everywhere are slamming him about his speech – fools, it was brilliant. Clint woke up the crowd, and given that his speech was ad-libbed, his subtleties were very clever and on point. He hit his mark, and damn he was funny.

@Ditto: #14
That’s the one I meant that he doesn’t need. He already has his arms wrapped around himself, and has had for a long time. Remember how he was fired for complaining about not being treated the way he thought he shiould be?

Well this is interesting, especially considering the source…

@Cary:

How quaint! Cary gives us a far-leftist review of Ryan’s speech.

Re Sally Khon: Soros-funded pressure on Fox News worked: Glenn Beck out, Sally Kohn in

Kohn worked at the Center for Community Change, one of the leading Soros-funded groups, for six years, from 2004—2010. During this period, the group received $5.8 million from Soros’s main vehicle, the Open Society Institute (OSI).

“Sally Kohn makes the world safe for radical ideas,” her website says. In fact, Kohn is a far-left radical who attended the 2003 World Social Forum in Brazil, a meeting place for groups which say they are opposed to capitalism and U.S. imperialism.

@Ditto:

And yet nothing about the content of the article? Quaint, indeed.

Why I should I waste my time commenting on the dissembling of a Democratic shill.

@Cary: I’ll comment on the content of her article.

She was wrong. – Source

She was wrong about why S&P downgraded our credit rating.

She was wrong about the Janesville plant – GM kept building trucks there until nearly May of 2009.

She stated her opinion of Obama’s “you didn’t build that” comment, so you cannot call it a fact. She did, but why would accuracy concern her?

Lastly, she was wrong about Obama gutting Medicare. She doesn’t even dispute it, calling it “savings.” The NYT link she references says, “The 2010 health care law cut Medicare reimbursements to hospitals and insurers, not benefits for older Americans, by that amount over the coming decade.”

What can you expect? She used to be a community organizer.

@anticsrocks:

Oh, so since the business only began closing down in 2008, but hadn’t completely finished phasing out until 2009…. that actually is Obama’s fault. Got it. Thanks for clearing that up.

@Cary: Like the rest of the lefties, you also missed the point. Obama promised something that sound good to those who do not think but he could not deliver. That is the issue that Ryan made. The GM plant statement was just another thing Obama promised to get elevted and you all fell for it. You guys need more of that hope and change!

@Cary: Allow me to use your words, albeit slightly modified, against you.

And yet nothing (else) about the content of the article? Quaint, indeed.

No mention of the other points that Ms. Kohn got wrong.

No mention that she went out of her way, going so far as to push falsehoods in order to make Paul Ryan out to be a liar.

Nope, you don’t have your blinders on, now do ya?

My point was made. I now have to go train for my next marathon. Hope to make it under three hours someday!

@Cary: If your point was that Ms. Kohn’s article was chock full of inaccuracies, then yes, you made your point.

@Cary: Hard pressed to have your own original thoughts, eh? lol

The story you linked to is an Opinion Piece, it doesn’t say how Ryan supposedly lied, but rather why his alleged lies are so important.

C’mon Cary, you can do better than that.

Well, on second thought, you tried. LOLOLOL

@anticsrocks:

Have a good night, antics.

@Cary: Cool running, Cary.
