Mr. BHOjangles, dance [Reader Post]

Barack Obama has been reduced to a cabaret performer, a song and dance man hoofing it for any elite member of Hollywood or the world of music who has $40,000 a seat to burn.

He performed for George Clooney.

He bowed to Spike Lee.

He went gaga over GaGa.

Jon Bon Jovi gets a joyride on Air Force One to a campaign event.

Sarah Jessica Parker has summoned the Mr. Obamajangles.

Then there's “Barack on Broadway”! starring two Presidents!

The fundraising duo will kick-start their efforts at a private residence with about 50 people where tickets cost $40,000, according to a campaign official. Then they’ll head to the Waldorf Astoria, where about 500 people will hear them talk and Jon Bon Jovi sing. Their final event, before about 1,700 people at the New Amsterdam Theatre, will include performances by actors Neil Patrick Harris, James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury.

Tickets for the event at the Waldorf start at $2,500 per person, and getting into the New Amsterdam Theatre will cost at least $250 per person, according to a campaign official.

Obama raffles himself off:

The campaign pitched the fundraisers to supporters as “An Evening with Two Presidents” and asked voters to donate “$3 or whatever you can” to enter for a chance to attend the events. Airfare and hotel are covered by the campaign.

It's as though Red Skelton became President, except that Red would have taken being President seriously. With dignity. Obama is the toy of Hollywood.

He danced for those at minstrel shows and county fairs
throughout the north
He spoke through sneers how his wife and him
traveled about
The economy up and died, it up and died
And after 3 years he doesn't see….

He said I dance now at every chance in honky tonks
for drinks and donations
But most the time I spend with these wealthy movie stars
in celebrations
He shook his head, and as he shook his head
I heard George Clooney ask him please

Mr. BHOjangles, Mr. BHOjangles
Mr. BHOjangles, dance..

I doubt if BO can read or understand Shakespeare; he reads obscure Islamic poets, but denies his Islamic heritage. Yet the Bard wrote of men like Bo.

“All the world ‘s a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts” – As You Like It (Act II, Scene VII).

“When you do dance, I wish you
A wave o’ th’ sea, that you might ever do
    Nothing but that.”

The Winter’s Tale (IV, iv, 159-161)

Did you hear abou te ”gay” joke he told at one of the Los Angeles fundraisers?
    Yikes!!!

“Michelle outdoes me in pushups as well,” he said, after saying that she’s taken some criticism on her technique “because she doesn’t go all the way down” – a line that he let hang, naughtily, provoking laughter from the crowd.

I don’t think it is really a “double entendre,” it was pretty straight forward.

Would you prefer that Obama depend on billionaire benefactors at for money raised at dinners where original paintings by Adolf Hitler, and an autographed copy of Mein Kampf, are on display—like Romney did?

Don’t forget that OFraud has done more fundraising during his term than the last five presidents combined. What a colossal hypocrite this fraud is.

    Sock puppets!!!

I believed then, as I do now, that if we all chipped in and did our part, we would not only make history, but create meaningful change that so many Americans needed.

For me, this election is even more important than 2008.

As a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, I need to believe our country can be a place where everyone has a fair shot at success.

This November’s election will determine whether we get to keep moving forward, or if we’re forced to go back to policies that ask people like my middle-class family in Ohio to carry the burden — while people like me, who don’t need tax breaks, get extra help.

    Hope to see you there,

    Sarah Jessica

Spot the lib talking points: if we all chipped in, meaningful change, fair shot at success, keep moving forward, forced to go back to policies [BDS!], woman mother entrepreneur, while people like me who don’t need tax breaks get extra help.

Better Red Then Dead? Think about it as one watches the Red puppet dance as he is manipulated by his Marxist handlers. I have in the past stated this guy is as scary as Raymond in the original Manchurian Cabinet movie (Sinatra’s version. I refuse to acknowledge the newer one) and I stick to that comparison! Everything this guy is doing or espouses is reminiscent of Raymond and his puppet masters!

    Ditto

The 99% can’t afford to go to these Obama fundraisers. Only the Democratically aligned elitist 1% can afford such opulent revelry to bow at the feet of their chosen one. How many “Occupiers” will be in attendance? 0%

Dr John I love the clever title to this! Obama is sure a suck-up, guess he has to be…the Unions now despise him…

What I cannot believe is that this fraud, socialist, radical actually gets all this money from these [phony] celebrities – socialists, elitist, communist, who tend to be Anti-America… The ‘taxpayer’ pays their salaries! These people although they are ‘people too’ are entertainers, but with an ‘built in’ audience and a public forum, and people who will ‘hang on’ to their every word [whether it’s right OR wrong] ….period!.

I’ve seen Ms Parker on commercials. Myself? I would not partake in purchasing anything ‘said’ company has her endorse…

Many celebrities endorse socialism, liberalism, leftism, progressives, anti-Americanism and are elitists… it is the “taxpaying” people of America [their fans] who put them on the map, who made them essentially the celebrities they are today and the millions they have….[1%?] ….

Myself? I am not left leaning, not liberal and not progressive, not anti-America… I would ‘not’ support any of these socialist celebrities….I won’t buy their products – movies, clothes, jewelry, whatever- or the products [of the Company’s ] they endorse….if they slap me [the taxpayer] in the face, I will slap back…lol

I am on the road and traveling fast, but I thought you might be as enraged as me over this paragraph.

Stalking that circus’ center ring is Matt Drudge, whose caustic website continues to help drive the news cycle with an emphasis on negative, mocking items about Obama and Vice President Joe Biden and their wives. The latest sign of Drudge’s potency: Ed Klein, the author of the virulently anti-Obama book The Amateur, was barred from major TV appearances and mostly ignored by the mainstream media, but the book’s prominence on Drudge’s website propelled it to the No. 1 slot on the New York Times nonfiction list.

You know, I was just thinking. your title, although apt is really an insult to the real Mr. Bojangles (Bill Robinson, I believe was his name) a gentle man with the talent to delight all including if memory serves a cute little girl named Shirley Temple!

More like a puppet on a string as I mentioned earlier I’m afraid, not a dancer. LOL!

    Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Obama does a really good Inspector Renault,” I’m shocked, shocked I tell you,” shocked he is that leaks meant to bolster his standing as a decisive, dynamic CinC, just “happened” during the election cycle.
All the bluster and feigned indignation are just another canard. If someone is found they will be the next Scooter Libby. Obama knows where the leaks are sourced, Axelrod’s laptop. Hell, he probably wrote them himself. Obama is so far into his narcissistic self worship that he has manage to turn the surviving Kennedy wretches into bitter, snubbed and disgusted enemies. You’ve done a days work when you reduce that bunch to spitting, hissy fits.

that’s where OBAMA fits well with that CROWD OF PHONEY,
THAT’S WHERE THE PEOPLE WILL SEND HIM ON NOVEMBER,
HOW COME THEY DIDN’T SEND HIM BEFORE IN 2008,
LACK OF PERCEPTION, HE WILL BELONG AND LOOK HOW HAPPY HE WILL BE ,
MAKING HIS JOKES ON THE BACK OF HIS WIFE, AND THEY ALL LAUGH,
we must never trust anyone who make jokes using other people to be the laughing stock,
they are the phoney arrogant dudes, and OBAMA WILL LAUGH AND MAKE JOKES ON THE BACK OF WHO FOLLOWED HIM BLINDLY, AND MAKE HOLLYWOOD LAUGH AT THE PEOPLE WHO VOTE FOR HIM
BUT THE SAME PEOPLE WILL HAVE THEIR TURN IN NOVEMBER TO WIPE THAT SMILE OF HIS FACE ,

In response to Tom: After the election of 2008, there was a vacuum and silence in political cartooning. The satirical artists felt as if they were in deep space; because, no one dared to be the first political cartoonist to caricature the unique concept of a Black President, nor did they quite know how to poke fun at a man and a race that had been given dispensation, for grievous insults of the not so distant past.

If Obama could have maintained this unique situation by being a statesman and a competent leader, he could have restored a solemn respect for the office and the country, but he reverted to cronyism, poor leadership, surrounding himself with dolts, and other forms of corruption that left him open to criticism of the most unkind type, criticism that reflects the truth.

It is truly unfortunate, since he has dropped the ball for the Black Race as well as for the rest of America, but he had the open road to be a positive influence for the Blacks of America, while leading them to higher achievement.

I appreciate your commentary above; however, Obama has brought about his own humiliation and ridicule. He had a unique opportunity in the beginning and he blew it.

Skooks Listen Marine,as always I appreciate your studied commentary. However, I think it should be sufficient to blast him on his perceived inadequacies as a leader and a statesman.Leave the racial caricatures to the racists of which there are far too many in this land of the free.

Having learned a lot from Skook in not only his writings and his life, but in fact being around at the time he was on the race track (I sure wish and I had met him back then!) and went through stuff I couldn’t even imagine, I tend to think you are off base on your last comment Rich Wheeler. If any one of us in this forum has the right to comment on the subject of race, it is Skook!

Skook is correct. Not only has he brought this onto himself, he has in fact openly and overtly harmed race relations in this nation and I do believe in fact he has “he has dropped the ball for the Black Race as well as for the rest of America, but he had the open road to be a positive influence for the Blacks of America, while leading them to higher achievement.” as Skook says above.

Obama as the leader of not only the United States, but in fact of the Free World had the chance to not only influence, but in fact further ease the tensions not only between the races but also in the so called class warfare area. He couldn’t or wouldn’t do that. He had a chance to espouse and put forward every ideal this country was founded on. He had a chance to UNITE, but chose to fragment. And for what purpose, his own power madness or his hard core Socialist ideology? He openly and overtly demeans our Constitution and the laws we live under, choosing to make his own law! When does it stop?

    hi,
yes SKOOK NEVER SHOWN ANY RACIST LEANING, on the contrary he scolded anyone
using racists slur here on all his POSTS,
TOO BAD OF Richard Wheeler but he has a inferior complex and he knows darn well that the racist card is played by the BLACKS, WE JUST HAVE TO LOOK AT THE CASE OF GEORGE ZIMMERMAN,
WHAT WE HAVE SEEN REAL RACIST PLAYED BY 6 BLACKS YOUNG FROM 17 AND AROUND, BEATING AN OLD VIETNAM VETERAN UNHARMED WITH A HAMMER ON HIS HEAD, YELLING TRAYVON AND
YELLING DEATH TO HIM, AND LEFT THAT POOR OLD MAN BLEEDING HIDDEN IN THE WOOD TO DIE,
THIS IS ONLY ONE OF MORE ATTACK ON WHITES JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE WHITES,
THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL RACIST, WHERE DID THOSE YOUNGS LEARNED TO BE RACIST ENOUGH
TO TRY TO KILL THE WHITES, WELL THERE WAS ONE SCHOOL TEACHER WHO INCITED THE STUDENT TO BEAT UP ON WHITES KIDS, AND THEY OBEYED BY SETTING A 13 YEAR OLD WHITE IN FIRE,
    THAT IS RACIST,
NOW RICHARD KEEP YOUR RACIST TO YOURSELF

Rich, you know I will always pay more attention when someone says, “Marine”. Soon enough, it will be fifty years, but I will always respect the sound of that word. Surely, just like you respond when a field grade officer or general grade officer says, “Marine” to you.

I know this is a slippery slope, but why is it so much worse to exaggerate the features of Obama rather than the features of Bush or Chaney? He is a mortal and fallible man, like Bush and Chaney, but no one was indignant when the talented artists poked fun at those two.

I am not trying to be a smart ass: I am trying to examine the situation.

When America can take political caricatures in stride, without being insulted, we will have overcome a great divide. In my younger days, back on the Apple IIE, I tried my hand at cartooning, not political cartooning, outdoor stuff. I nearly starved. But I learned an appreciation for the guys who can capture the essence of someone and portray it in a humorous manner. It takes a certain quality. I envy the guys who can do it well.

Now, I must ask, how do you caricature Obama without insulting those who are overly sensitive to race or racial features. To me it seems impossible. I can’t do the easy figures justice, but this is truly difficult, and surely, every politician deserves to be pilloried, it’s the nature of the game.

  23. 29

    Brian

No politician is above caricature by the opposition. They are fair game and should expect that attention, especially after a gaffe or other lapse. Obama has earned the negatives directed at him.
His shortcomings as a leader, a man and human have polarized and divided the nation. The man is too thin skinned to have an office that is under the level of scrutiny attached to POTUS. If he is offended by that scrutiny he should have never run for office with the convoluted personal history he drags with him. If he doesn’t respect this country, its constitution, its military and its people he should not expect any in return.
