One of my neighbors asked for help in rounding up the cattle on his brother’s spread in the Chilcotin, down by Alexis Creek. His brother had been killed when a horse flipped over and crushed him against a log.

I was always up for an adventure and for seeing new country, so I told him he could count on me. The Chilcotin is about halfway to Vancouver and we considered it to be in the tropics. They could count on the thermometer dropping to sixty below come winter, but it is only a few hours from the Okanagan and they grow peaches down there.

The Ugly Truth Of America’s Welfare Class

There is a group of people within America’s Welfare Class that is metastasizing into a downward spiral of decadence and depravity. The nature of a Welfare System that replicates itself and gains in power and funding by rewarding those who exist as parasites, fuels the cancer of degeneracy or an entitlement of the most useless.

Unfortunately, there are those who have factors in their life that predispose them to being wards of the state. This article is not meant to demean their plight or condition, but rather, this sense of victimhood that is building an ever increasing group that sees the Welfare System as means of existence to be manipulated in order to work their way of the ladder of life and success.

Making a zillion dollars is comparable to the Congressional Medal of Honor?
