Democrat’s theme for the 2012 Election: Barack Obama vs. A Racist [Reader Post]

Loading

In an interview on Meet the Depressed, David Gregory accused Newt Gingrich of using coded racist language in criticizing Barack Obama:

DAVID GREGORY, HOST: What, what about jobs? Jobless rate now at 9 percent. You gave a speech on Friday in Georgia, and you said the following about this president:

(Videotape)

NEWT GINGRICH: You want to be a country that creates food stamps, in which case frankly Obama’s is an enormous success. The most successful food stamp president in American history. Or do you want to be a country that creates paychecks?

(End videotape)

GREGORY: First of all, you gave a speech in Georgia with language a lot of people think could be coded racially-tinged language, calling the president, the first black president, a food stamp president.

GINGRICH: Oh, come on, David.

GREGORY: What did you mean? What was the point?

REP. GINGRICH: That’s, that’s bizarre. That–this kind of automatic reference to racism, this is the president of the United States. The president of the United States has to be held accountable. Now, the idea that–and what I said is factually true. Forty-seven million Americans are on food stamps. One out of every six Americans is on food stamps. And to hide behind the charge of racism? I have–I have never said anything about President Obama which is racist.

Here is the racist chart showing a dramatic increase in food stamp participation in the US:

As Gingrich said, Obama is the most successful food stamp President in history. In fact, Obama has taken record welfare spending and increased it by one third. In blind and probably willing ignorance, Gregory has become one more official Obama water carrier in what has clearly become the democrats’ overarching theme for the 2012 Presidential election:

Barack Obama vs. A Racist

It will not matter who the candidate is. He or she will be a racist. Any criticism of Obama will be racist.

High unemployment? Racist.

Lack of jobs? Racist.

High gas prices? Racist.

PBS host Tavis Smiley said on MSNBC: “I said over a year ago that this was going to be, this presidential race, Lawrence, was going to be the ugliest, the nastiest, the most divisive, and the most racist in the history of this Republic,”

As Chris Matthews said, “it is our job to make President Obama look good.”
Of course any opponent of Obama will be racist. That is the previously agreed-upon approach.
The Gregory slam at Gingrich reminds me of a student of mine at a 90% black school in Washington, DC.
There was a soda machine in the faculty lounge. The students were not allowed in the faculty lounge. Every day this kid came into class with a soda. Food and drink were not allowed in the classroom. When I challenged him on his conduct, he accused the school of being “racist” for having such a policy.
The claim is false on its face. Unless one posits that food stamps go only to blacks, that is. In my home town food stamps are principally used by Hispanics. How is promoting food stamps racist, again?
Just observe. Compare the thundering utterances of the Lame-Stream Media, voice to voice, issue to issue. You will soon discover that they all read from the same copybook. There is no independence, no reporting. There is stenography. We have many persons speaking with one voice: it is all Government Propaganda, all the time.
Reporters are too lazy, too cowed, too intimidated, or too controlled to do their own investigations, Instead they read from prepared press releases.
Sigh.

President Bush vetoed the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008 which increased benefits to food stamps. A sample of the votes to OVERRIDE the presidential veto and spend the money where:

To be fair, Obama was not president, nor did he vote on this bill (neither did McCain). Also, you will see many major “conservative” Republican Senate leaders who voted in favor of the bill. So if one wants to call Obama the most successful Food Stamp President, you would have to include Senator McConnell as the most successful food stamp Republican Leader (and add that monicker to all who voted in favor of this spending.)

Isn’t it ironic that those of us who vocalize how incompetent Obama is has been labeled “racist”. But, the people who voted for him or support him strictly because of his race are not? How hypocritical is that? I detest what Obama is doing to our country. I am not a racist, I am a concerned citizen. I vote for the person I feel will do the best job, and it has nothing to do with race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. I want a responsible adult with leadership qualities and honorable intentions in office, not someone who has a distorted vision of what is important. Racist my backside!

OH, I did a whole poem on this:

The Obotski Request Admissions Of Racism

by Squeeky Fromm
[Represented and Assisted by her BFF, Fabia Sheen, Esq.]

Unemployment? Ten Percent.
Each Day more get the Sack.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Foreclosuregate? White Collar Fraud?
The Bank now owns your Shack.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Obamacare? Insurance Hikes
Induce a Cardiac.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

The Deficit? Each Day it grows.
An Exponential Track!
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Inflation, DUH? You can’t afford
A Real Meal, just a snack.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

He stole the Nomination,
Like a kleptomaniac.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ’cause he’s Black.

Three Wars, so far. We try to guess
The next Place He’ll attack.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Illegal Folk, from Mexico
Cross Borders in a Pack.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Certificates of Birth, Long Form.
There seems to be a lack???
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Gasoline? You’ll never get
To be a Jack Kerouac.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Transparency? He promised it.
In secret, got a Plaque!
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

MY GOD! The Whole Economy
And Country out of Whack!!!
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Hope and Change and Yes We Can
Got coated with Shellac.
But Please Admit that you don’t like
Obama ‘cause he’s Black.

Now Comes, the Defendant, Who,
Admits to just one FACT.
That She DON’T Like Obama.
But it AIN’T because he’s Black.

Approved as to Form:

NOTE: Fabia Sheen says “Supra” means “Used in academic or legal texts to refer to someone or something mentioned above or earlier.” So its telling the Obotski to look above for the reasons I don’t like Obama.

Plus, wiki says Jack Kerouac wrote a novel called “On the Road” in April 1951, and published by Viking Press in 1957. It is a largely autobiographical work that was based on the spontaneous road trips of Kerouac and his friends across mid-century America. Sooo, like with the price of gas being $4.00+, nobody is going toodling around Route 66 today.

Plus, too, I wanted to add this verse, But Fabia said it was un-professional:

Sooo, if you think that we don’t like
Obama ’cause he’s Black
After reading all of this,
You must be smoking CRACK!!!

Tee Hee! Tee Hee!

blast, nice attempt to convolute the issue, but most people understand an increase in food stamp benefits to compensate for the increase in food costs is totally different than adding 12 million Americans to the food stamp rolls because the president’s economic policies suck.

One more reason of a million reasons, why there is no sane reason to watch any of the MSM. No good will come from buying their news papers, their magazines or tuning into their radio, or TV channels. I know we must keep informed of what the progs are up to, however if you support them monetary they will continue to exist.

Michelle Obama wanted to fund more mandatory school food programs out of the Food Stamp budget.
I believe her funding was shot down.
She would (along with 12-hour,12-month schools Arne Duncan) like to force all public school children to only eat AT the schools all three meals a day.
Give them a 2nd four years and she’ll get it, too.

Only 9% (less than 1 out of 10) of Americans call themselves ”black,” yet 1 out of every 6 Americans get Food Stamps.

Hardly ”code” for ”black.”
A simple ad hominum attack because Newt scares the crap out of the leftist media.

Gregory – the worst kind of racist, worthy of the White House, so content to be stuffed and puffy with his attacks against decent folk. It’s people like him who are stoking the fires and there’s no one in sight for the banking. As the Frenchman said, it will start with mortal fighting in the streets, then shift to the military and beyond the towns, and then armies against armies.

An excellent article on this same topic is here.

The Title: Soviet Propaganda Would Fit In With USA Of Today By SVETLANA KUNIN

Lovely Quote:

The nuanced difference is that those who critique Obama administration policies are accused of being racists or bigots; in the USSR, individuals who criticized the government were described as spies, traitors or “enemies of the people.”

Amazing Comparison:
Genrih Jagoda (1891-1938), soviet commissar of the interior and chief commissioner of state security, said:

“Opposite to the capitalists/bourgeois courts, our court’s decisions are not based on dogmatic laws, but are strictly justified by revolutionary sensibilities.”

Today in the USA, the commissar’s stand is reflected in the decisions of many liberal judges.

Wisconsin County Court Judge Maryann Sumi issued this statement March 2011:

“It seems to me the public policy behind effective enforcement of the open meeting law is so strong that it does outweigh the interest, at least at this time, which may exist in favor of sustaining the validity of the law.”

Lots more.
And Soviet Posters that would suit Obama to a T!

SqueekyFromm, that was fabulously well done and very creative,
bye and thank’s

for the people who want to vote for the right person, but ignore the rules and how tricky they can be influence in following lies instead of truth, they just have to keep checking the military’s votes,
which way they lean on, and they will find out which side to vote with a sure thing,
because the MILITARY ARE FAR BACK AND PAY THE PRICE OF EACH OF THE VOTES FROM EVERYBODY IN THIS NATION, THEY PAY WITH THEIR BLOOD.
and that give them the CREDIBILITY THAT WE WANT TO HAVE WHEN IT’S THE DAY FOR CASTING A SO VERY IMPORTANT VOTE, so important that those countrys where the MILITARYS ARE HELPING,
SHOW THEIR FINGERS BLACKEN WITH THE INK, WITH THEIR HEAD HIGH AND SMILE OF BEING SO PROUD TO BE THE ENABLER OF JUSTICE NOT FOR THEM ALONE BUT FOR THEIR COUNTRY,
LET THEIR EXEMPLE BE A GUIDE TO BE PROUD OF YOUR VOTE, and check how the soldier who defend those people, are choosing which way, it will be the right way for an undecided to vote,
FOR AMERICA THE BEAUTIFULL AND PROUD TO BRING FREEDOM TO IT’S PEOPLE OF ALL
CREEDS AND OF ALL COLORS
GOD BLESS AMERICA

retire05, you must not have looked at the law, they increased electability back in 2008, and that coupled with the worst economic downturn since the great depression did cause the increase in the people eligible for food stamps.

Question about the Food Stamp program;

Is it right that someone who receives food stamps should be able to use it for the soda fountain drinks within grocery stores? I ask that because the woman in front of me today, in the checkout line, did that very thing. No milk. No eggs. No bread. No meats. No anything that one would expect the stamps to be used for. Just three drinks, two of them large sized, and purchased with a food stamp card.

Your chart and argument is actually quite deceiving. The government can increase food stamp funding all they want but people still have to qualify for them — a process that isn’t easy in most states. And the increase in funding is a result of the increase in need. Why?

The Great Bush Recession in which 8 million jobs were lost has led to the increase need in food stamps and government assistance. Bush and the Republicans are responsible for the increase in the size of the government indirectly. Add into that the jobs that are available are usually low paying and cannot sustain a household which also increases the need for food stamps. A typical family of 4 needs to have both parents making at least $24 a hour to stay out of poverty and typically Republicans oppose increases to minimum wage. See, their “small government” philosophy is actually making the government bigger. Not so black and white, is it?

Jonathan, hi,
yes, It’s not easy to understand, how to qualfy for food stamps, you have to buy your beer as oppose to diapers,
you can exchange it for drugs on the street from illegals also;
yes, after two years of DEMOCRATS POWER, IT’S still BUSH FAULT, IS IN IT.
EVEN THAT THE DEMS HAD A MAJORITY DURING BUSH PRESIDENCY, THEY WHERE ABLE TO INSERT THEIR BILLS BETWEEN THE PILES OF BUSH BILLS, YES THE DEMS MAJORITY USED THEIR POWER EVEN THEN, AND DISCREDIT BUSH TO PROPELL THEIR GUY INTO THE NEXT ELECTION,
THE REPUBLICAN OPPOSED SPENDING, BECAUSE OF THE ABUSIVE SPENDING THE GOVERNMENT
IS DOING , LEADING THE NATION TO POVERTY AND MISERY, LEADING THE COMPANYS OUT OF THIS NATION, LEADING TO A WELFARE STATE, WHERE SMALL BUSYNESSES ARE SUFFERING, UNABLE TO INCREASE THE BASIC SALARY WITHOUT PUTTING MORE EMPOYEES IN MISERY.
YES SR, NOT BLACK AND WHITE, BUT THE TRUTH TELL BETTER THAN LIES IS IT IT, MORE DECEIVING
