Hating Jews [Reader Post]

Last month, students at a Southern California high school were caught playing a late-night on-campus game of tag called “Beat the Jew.” On the popular social networking site Facebook, a user named Alex Cookson launched an open invitation to an event called “Kill a Jew Day.” It was the fourth time that a call to murder Jews had been put on Facebook within recent days.

In D.C., White House press doyen Helen Thomas was captured on tape nonchalantly opining that all Jews should go back to Germany. Implicit in her statement was her assumption that everyone felt the same way, so what’s the big deal?

Also last month: Egypt decided to revoke the citizenship of any Egyptians married to Israelis. In Amsterdam, anti-Semitism has become so commonplace that Dutch police are now using “decoy Jews” in an effort to to cut the number of verbal and physical attacks on Jews, amid fears that anti-Semitic “hate crime” is on the rise. And in Germany, a Jewish dance group was attacked with stones by a group of children and teenagers during a performance at a street festival in Hannover. The teenagers also used a megaphone to shout anti-Semitic slurs.

European Jewish Congress President Moshe Kantor last week gave a bleak evaluation of European Jewry. “Jews are afraid to walk the streets in Europe with Jewish symbols,” Kantor said. “Synagogues, Jewish schools and kindergartens require barbed-wire fences and security, and Jewish men, women and children are beaten up in broad daylight.”

Jews worldwide are again under attack. The Holocaust and 6 million slaughtered Jews have been forgotten. It now appears that history is on the way to repeating itself, aided and abetted by the world press.

During the much publicized clash between supposed peace activists and Israeli soldiers last month, Israel was roundly condemned when forced to board a ship that was trying to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza under the guise of delivering “humanitarian aid” to Palestinians. Reuters was caught, once again, photo shopping a knife out of the hand of a supposed “peace activist” in a blatant attempt to portray Israel as the aggressor.

The London Telegraph was also caught using a two-year-old photo in their quest to portray Palestinians as victims. A photo that was purposefully misleading, as is shown here.

When Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, Hamas launched 6,500 unprovoked rocket strikes on towns and schoolyards in Israel. The Israeli blockade of Gaza was a necessary self-defense measure to keep these rockets from reaching Gaza. But world opinion as expressed in the media, sees it differently. Palestinians are the victims and Israel should atone. Period.

The communications firm best known for shaping the liberal Moveon.org into a national movement has tackled a new project: orchestrating an international anti-Israel campaign. And it appears to be working.

Even Israel’s good friend, the United States, is throwing it under the bus. According to Israel’s ambassador to Washington, relations between Israel and its staunchest ally, the U.S., havesuffered a “tectonic rift.”

Under President Barack Obama, the United States no longer provides Israel with automatic support at the United Nations where the Jewish state faces a constant barrage of criticism and condemnation. American sentiment now increasingly favors the supposed Palestinian “victims.”

As Thomas Sowell says, “Just as the American left has adopted blacks as mascots, so the international left has adopted Palestinians as mascots. In both cases, the actual well-being of the mascots is not the point. Mascots exist to be symbols for others. In all the years when the Arab states controlled the area that Israel took over after the 1967 war, nobody cared what happened to the Palestinians, much less offered them a homeland.”

If you are one of the unsuspecting Americans who have bought into the “Palestinians as victims” hoax, I urge you, in the interest of fairness, to watch this short video. It is a must-see history lesson from David Horowitz, laying out the true history of Palestine. The facts are incontrovertible.

No matter how thin the pancake, there are always two sides. If we allow the terrorists’ propaganda machine and the world press to continue presenting a false version of Israel and Palestine, it is possible that history could indeed, repeat itself. And we will become allies with murderous Islamic terrorists whose sole goal is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

In partial defense of the Europeans, I point out that this antisemitism is mostly the doing of muslim immigrants. If they had the sense to stop or roll back this immigration they’d reduce the problem substantially. Not that there aren’t native-born neonazis and the like but I can’t recall seeing anything like this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/5237299/Gang-of-barbarians-go-on-trial-for-Paris-torture-and-murder-of-Jewish-man.html
…from the non-immigrant crowd.

Another thing – ‘photo shopping a knife out of the hand’ is not really an accurate description of what happened with the Reuters photos. I thought, prior to following the link, that Soviet-style erasure had taken place; instead I see this is more a case of strategic cropping. The intent is still bad but the degree of deception is less.

bbartlog, that is a ridiculous statement. Deliberately cropping the knife out of the picture is not one whit different than going to the trouble to erase it because it happens to be in a place you can’t crop. There is no degree of deception here. The intent was the same and so was the result.

…or, as the “Führer” would say, “Let’s pahty likes it’s nineteen-sirty-nine, jawohl.” 👿

Jews in the diaspora have always faced a unique problem: their sense of group identity rather than a national identity. This simply means that, no matter where they have lived, they have always seen themselves as Jews first, and residents, sometimes citizens, of whatever country second.

This has worked to their advantage in keeping Judaism alive as a coherent structure, although there seem to be signs that the number of truly religious Jews has slipped significantly. In the USA, there seem to be at least as many “cultural Jews” as there are “religious Jews” (I don’t have any hard numbers on that; I’m just going by own experience here). In any event, the group identity has been a matter of prime importance to Judaism through the ages in the diaspora.

At the same time, because of their international connections, they have never been truly trusted. How can you really trust someone whose first allegiance is to his group and only secondarily to the nation, the thing that most of us hold most dear? In the affairs of nations, the Jews generally are not trusted because there is a question about who they really support. There are notable exceptions to what I just said. Benjamin Disraeli as prime minister of Great Britain and Henry Kissinger as Secretary of State are two prominent counter examples.

But let us consider Kissinger a bit further because this is an instructive example. To many, Kissinger is the great, silver tongued statesman that could charm all the nations of the world and make everything work just fine. On the other hand, some of Henry’s black deeds are becoming manifest, and he does not look so good to everyone today. To cite a couple: (1) he seems to have played a major role in leaving a large number of American POWs in Viet Nam to rot to this day in order to get the Paris peace accords signed, and (2) he was heavily instrumental in the betrayal of South Africa that brought down apartheid and led to the all black government that is now engaged in the white genocide in that country. I raise this simply to say, has the Jewish Henry Kissinger served the interests of a largely White Anglo America well? One can argue that Judaism has nothing to do with what he has done, but these were things done by a Jew in a position of power.

Coming back to the central point, it seems to me that our relations with the Jews are a truly vexed problem. I cannot justify attacking the Jews, but I cannot justify going to extreme lengths in their defense. I do not want to see the nation of Israel perish from the earth; I think it must definitely remain. But I want an arms length relation with it.

The Palestinians, on the other hand, I think should simply be absorbed into the surrounding arab countries and let that be an end of it. The idea of a “Palestinian homeland” is nonsense. Those arabs that were living in the land that would become the state of Israel at the time Israel was formed who wanted to stay were allowed to stay. Many did, and today, they and their descendants are citizens of Israel with full rights. We hear very little about them; they don’t make much noise. It is only those who refused to be a part of the Jewish state that now live in Gaza, etc. and cause endless trouble. They need to simply be dissolved, disbursed, and the problem eliminated. Perhaps the State Department could move them all to Somalia..

Although the writer tries to make this issue an ‘anti-liberal’ one, in the middle of the article, she fails to mention that the pictured participant–about whom the article began–are most probably Christian conservatives.

prescienceblog.com

Those signs are neither conservative nor Christian…they are straight from the pit of Hell. Calling oneself a Christian, while behaving in that manner, just proves that those “people” are not Christians.

True-Scottsman, much?

@tadcf

You are so full of bull. Take some time to learn unrevised history. Those people in the mentioned photo are definitely not representative of Conservatives or the majority of Christians. They are more akin to the die-hard racist southern Democratic bible-thumpers of the last century. Those racist Democrats did not simply disappear after they lost the civil rights wars. You will find that many of them joined the ranks of the neo-nazi Aryan Nation groups, who developed out the American National Socialist Party, whose roots were formed by the 1895-1925 Progressives.
