President Barack Obama has refused to meet with Gov. Jan Brewer of Arizona:
President Obama has turned down Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer’s request to meet while she’s in Washington next week as tensions mount between his administration and Arizona over the state’s new law cracking down on illegal immigrants.
It appears he’s too busy. And too busy in the future as well.
Brewer will be in Washington to meet with other governors. She said Friday that she had asked to meet with Obama and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to discuss border security and immigration. But Obama’s schedule “doesn’t allow for a meeting” with her, White House spokesman Adam Abrams said, adding that the president “does intend to sit down with the governor in the future.”
The guy is busy. He’ll be at a Paul McCartney concert and then host the Major League Soccer Men’s championship team. There simply isn’t time for issues of national concern or national security. There are more important things to be done.
Obama intends to overturn the Arizona law:
The strong message that the Justice Department representatives delivered at the private meetings — first with Goddard, then with Brewer’s staff — left little doubt that the Obama administration is prepared to go to court if necessary in a bid to block the new law, which takes effect July 29.
Brewer is running for re-election and Obama’s snub is likely to boost Brewer’s chances to win the election.
The Federal government has repeatedly failed to secure the borders of the United States. Obama seems bent on preventing individual states from doing the job that he won’t do. Not only does he refuse to protect our borders, Obama seems to be acting in the interests of Mexico.
It’d be nice if Obama would put the energy into defending our borders that he puts into trying to keep us from defending our borders.
Maybe if he weren’t so busy with important things he could do the job he took an oath to do.

My guess is that Obama refuses to meet with anyone that is not an “intellectual disability” (retarded). They tend to make him look stupid. By the way what’s more important, sports or national security. In this administrartion it’s sports.
He knows she is immune and that there is no chance of his corrupting her government directly, is my guess. He doesn’t associate much with any red state if you’ll notice.

Any way we can..say..file a class action suit or somesuch to REQUIRE that the federal gov’t enforce the laws that are already on the books regarding illegal immigration?
And is there any way we can dig into the pockets of the individual administration dweebs who are supposed to be upholding those laws but choose not to?
Add petulant to that long list of BHO character traits. Or is that one already on the ever-growing list?
I’m still trying to figure out how we could petition the gubmint for the redress of grievances(First Amendment) to stop spending OUR money!

I’ve started to wonder how large his carbon footprint is. Air Force One does not sip gas. He seems to be out of DC at least twice a week. Maybe the White House is haunted with the ghosts of real leaders. Maybe Lincoln is trying to talk to him from the Lincoln bedroom.
His presidency is starting to look like the game, Bop a Mole.

Mind you, it’s a great blog, good readership and fabulous forum commentary (from both sides of the aisle.. most of the time). But that powerful? Only in our dreams. I suspect that unknown outlet known as Fox News, and their May 29th report chastising the POTUS, (along with others like Gateway Pundit) might have fueled the debate a tad too….

One legal recourse is to file a Writ of Mandamus, whereby the court can order the office holder to perform the duties of their office as specified within the writ. (Alternately, a Writ of Mandamus can force an officer to refrain from performing duties as specified.) If the office holder refuses to follow the court’s order, they can be arrested and held indefinitely for contempt of court, until they agree to follow the writ. (If they are removed from office during the incarceration, the Court may consider releasing them.)
