DC phone lines busy, called both local offices and was able to get through. I was able to get through to Connolly’s DC office yesterday. I have sent emails every day this week and plan on sending one every day until this is over.

Public Policy Polling:

“Dennis Kucinich’s flip on the health care vote this morning is symbolic of a broader shift among liberals. Last month 73% said they supported the plan with 19% opposed. Now 89% say they support the plan with only 3% opposed. Whether it’s because of the President’s increasing visibility on the issue or because liberals finally decided the current bill is as good as they’re going to get and better than nothing, there’s been a big rise in support since early February.

The shift has come completely with Democratic voters. A month ago 39% of independents said they supported it, now 40% do. A month ago 10% of Republicans said the supported it, and that’s now actually down to 8%. But Democratic support has risen from 63% to 76% in the last month. Obama seems to have succeeded in better unifying the party around his goals.”

Here are the fax numbers for the democrat members of the House Budget Committee. I faxed them ALL on Monday. (These are the clowns who intend to “deem” the bill passed.)

I do not want to live in the same country with those people. Just the simple fact that they have revealed so clearly their slimy thinking is absolutely repulsive to me. They and I have irreconcilable differences. I think it is time to divide the country, so that they can go their way to their socialist paradise, and those of us that believe in freedom can go our way.

Like I said, calling your congressman won’t stop this. The Tea Parties didn’t stop this.

We need to up the stakes and take to the streets in a massive NATIONAL STRIKE.

APRIL 19th- PATRIOTS DAY.

Or continue calling your congressman and then sit around and wonder why nothing changes for the better in our nation.

Your call. Status quo, or a real revolution?

Latest Obama email includes:

But I also know that with just days remaining, the final vote is shaping up to be extremely close. Everything we’ve worked for is on the line, and your voice is needed now more than ever before.

Raise your voice today: We must all speak out together to finish the job.

In these final, crucial days, much more will be asked of us. Our resolve will be tested.

There is a link in that second sentence which, once clicked, goes to this page:

They want Rep. Maurice D. Hinchey (D-NY-22) bombarded it seems

Hear’s hoping that one of these “big donors” gets hacked off by WH thuggish tactics and records a conversation where they are being *urged* to withdraw funds from a no voting congressman.

Here’s a little something for Jack Cafferty fans:

If I am correct, if this slimy bill passes, everyone that is required to join, will pay premiums for 4 years before they will be allowed to redeem any benefits. So, the Obama admin collects millions/bilions of dollars for 4 years, with no outlay. Who are they eventually going to be funneling these funds to? SEIU? Code Pink? ACORN? You decide. I think I know the answer, but Obama and his cronies will lie thru their teeth to try and socialize our country.

Your call. Status quo, or a real revolution?

We already had our revolution. Since then we’ve had the means for conducting revisions of the established order of things at the ballot box. Recently such a revision took place. If a majority have become sufficiently dissatisfied with the results, they can change the entire political landscape again over the next two elections.

@Madalyn: I’m not sure how the implementation schedule will go but my understanding is that within short order you will be required to buy insurance or pay a fine, and go to jail if you do not pay the fine. If you buy insurance you will be able to use those benefits.

I’m not entirely sure what additional entitlement benefits do not kick in right away but wouldn’t it be odd if after claiming that thousands die every year because they are too poor to buy insurance that Dems would let thousands more die before covering them under this bill?

And yes, you can bet SEIU and ACORN will have their hand out to provide some form of “community outreach” supported by funds generated by the bill.

Here’s what we need done today to help launch and execute the “Pressure the Democrats’ Donors” plan we’ve conceived to open a new front in the Resistance to the Healthcare Rationing bill.

Our logic is simple: the White House, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid have convinced all Democrats in Congress to ignore the public. Phones are off the hook, emails are being deleted, and fax machines are unplugged. Democrats have built a wall between themselves and reality. The public’s ire is smacking right into that wall, but not getting through.

As Democrat fundraisers here in Chicago, we know how to get around that wall: by getting to the Democrats’ large Donors — wealthy people who put on the fundraisers, chair the events, and do all the money bundling that keeps Democrats in office. These people have the private phone numbers the Democrats will indeed answer. It’s been said Democrats spend 5-6 hours a day doing Donor maintenance and fundraising in Congress. That means if we start pressuring the Democrat Donors, they will call Congress and the DNC to report the public’s coming after THEM now. And they won’t like that one bit.

These are wealthy socialites and large law firms, neither of which wants the public calling, faxing, and emailing them. They donate in the shadows for their own personal vanity in most cases: that money will dry up if the public starts directing some of its ire at the people who fund all this madness by writing big checks to the DNC and Democrats in office.

Today we need the following five things accomplished:

(1) Use this thread, and find the largest donors for the 8 Democrats listed as “Maybe” by sites like Ace of Spades.

(2) Use this thread, and find the largest donors for the 31 Democrats listed there.

(3) In comments below, think of good verbiage to use in letters, emails, faxes, and phone calls to the Democrat Donors as we identify them. Remember: always be polite, professional, and use excellent grammar. Keep your message short, and ask these wealthy people why they are funding the Socialist takeover of this country. Ask them why they gave so much money so Democrats could shred the Constitution and attempt to illegally ram bills through Congress without voting on them. Ask these Donors why they raised so much funds to tank the US economy. Tell them you are going to write to all of their neighbors and anyone who does business with them, letting them know how they have been spending their money and what they are trying to achieve by putting Leftists into office. Tell them they are terrible human beings and that you will pray for their sanity to be restored.

(4) Contact people like Rush Limbaugh, Greta van Susteren, Michelle Malkin, Bill O’Reilly, Dennis Miller, Tammy Bruce, and others to spread this “Contact Dem Donors” idea as far as possible. It’s thinking outside the box, and opening an unexpected front for Democrats. These people are stressed and unhinged just dealing with the public — imagine the extra stress we would put on them if suddenly their Donors start calling, panicked, demanding to do whatever needs to be done to call the public off.

(5) Contact everyone involved in the Tea Party movement and make this idea viral…get them to research and contact the major Democrat Donors in their areas too. If, nationwide, wealthy Democrat Donors coast to coast started catching Hell from the general public, the DNC switchboards will start lighting up, and Congress members’ cell phones will start melting. We guarantee it.

UPDATE: We’re finding an excellent tool to use is the site Newsmeat.com.

You can search for all sorts of information on it.

We want private individuals making large contributions, not something like Kraft or AT&T. Ignore labor unions and others completely in the tank for the Left. Law firms are EXCELLENT targets, as they will drop a politician quickly if his or her actions start eating into their billable hours like this.

Who are their major Donors?

What law firms bundle money for these people?

These eight Democrats depend on large contributions to fund their campaigns. The people who make these contributions do so in the shadows, outside the public glare. Congress has been avoiding and ignoring direct contact with the public: phones have been taken off the hook, emails deleted unread, and fax machines are unplugged. It is difficult for the public to get through to Congress directly.

Our strategy is to take an indirect route to get to these Congressmen.

Through their Donors.

Let’s hit FEC records, OpenSecrets, and Google to search for the names and contact information for the wealthy people who put on the large fundraisers that keep the eight people above in Congress.

Who chairs their fundraising committees?

Who hosts their large events?

What names keep popping up in any article about banquets, fundraisers, or other political events these Congressmen attend?

We guarantee you these wealthy people and firms do not want the public calling them to tell them how unconstitutional and illegal it is for Democrats to be doing the things they are doing in Washington. We need to tell them the public will hold these individuals accountable for what Congress is doing, since it is their money that is funding all of this madness. If they ponied up all that cash to send the eight men above to Congress, then they bear culpability for their actions.

These wealthy people have private numbers to reach the eight men above the general public does not have access to. They can be much more persuasive than the average citizen.

Thus, if the public outs and pressures Democrats’ large Donors, the Donors will then make panicked calls to the DNC and Congress, and we get through on a level the DNC never expected us to.

Use this thread to collect the Donor information for the names above.

Talk of the lazy. What did Jefferson say about this?

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion… We have had thirteen States independent for eleven years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half, for each State. What country before ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion?” –Thomas Jefferson to William S. Smith, 1787. ME 6:372

I consider him wiser than your politically lazy advice any day of the week.

“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong, but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere.” –Thomas Jefferson to Abigail Adams, 1787

He’s right.

Opinions vary. My idea of lazy is when nearly half of the people in America who are eligible to vote don’t even bother to show up at the polling places every couple of years.

Mike’s America – From what I heard on TV last night (don’t remember if Sean, Greta, or Bill O), the only thing that kicks in immediately is coverage for pre-existing conditions. I found that to be rather odd. What I find to be really stupid, is that if you don’t subscribe to this healthcare, you will be fined, but if you can’t afford the premiums, how are you going to be able to afford a fine? Obama and co need to do some thinking like rational people. What a mess BHO and friends have made of our country. We need help from all REAL patriots (not those who claim to be, but still want to screw Americans), and a lot of help from above.

Landmark Legal’s Mark Levin has been busy preparing…

http://landmarklegal.org/uploads/Landmark%20Complaint%20(00013086-2).pdf

@June Beamer: Thanks for that info. We know that Obama is using the Dems cash cows to try and turn the votes of Congressmen who don’t fall into line. Let’s put the spotlight on these people and ask them to explain themselves.

@Madalyn: Dick Morris did have this article on what happens if the bill passes. It doesn’t address your specific concerns though:

http://www.vote.com/mmp_printerfriendly.php?id=1914

@Patvann: I don’t hold out too much hope for a legal challenge. The court is always reluctant to get involved in legislative matters.

Patvann,

Thank you for posting this. I heard Mr. Levin last week on the radio discussing the unconstitutionality of the proposed “Slaughter” rule.

Now is the time for some real good bugging equipment by the “Undecided” Dems. Man oh man, could they write their own ticket with BHO and his guys if they recorded one of the-guess-what-I can-offer-you for your yes vote statements. But on the other hand the Louisiana Purchase is going to help people in the 57th state, Hawaii, if they have an earthquake! Can you for one moment imagine GWB or Palin saying anything this dumb and it not making headlines in every liberal rag in the country?

Ivan

I prefer this one:

The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.”

Patrick Henry

And this one:

“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves.” William Pitt in the House of Commons November 18, 1783

And the best and most overlooked:

“We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our selection between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts as that we must be taxed in our meat in our drink, in our necessities and comforts, in our labors and in our amusements, for our callings and our creeds…our people.. must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses; and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live.. We have not time to think, no means of calling the mis-managers to account, but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow suffers. Our landholders, too…retaining indeed the title and stewardship of estates called theirs, but held really in trust for the treasury, must…be contented with penury, obscurity and exile.. private fortunes are destroyed by public as well as by private extravagance.

This is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering… And the fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression.” Thomas Jefferson

Would that some of our visitors from the other side meditate on these and think long and hard about the words spoken by these men, for they, above any who has come after, know the sacrifice given in obtaining those freedoms being abused today by government benevolence.

UPDATE: Forget Kucinch Switch! Costello (D-IL) a former YES vote switches to NO !

I am from Costello’s district and he is getting Holy Hell from this. Even from the union rank and file.

@stix1972:

Nice to have you back!!

What do you think of this one, 2 obvious yes votes out in CA.

@Missy:
The typical vote buying of the Left

I am still waiting for a Democrat to come out and say this bill is un-Constitutional instead of just being against the Abortion part in the bill.

I still do not see how the GOV can make me buy insurance if I do not want it. Especially from getting that insurance form one of the insurance companies that is getting kick backs from Obama and the Democrats. No wonder AARP is for this Bill, they will get tons of money from it
