Did you run it from the transcript with (Applause.) left in?

Weird must have just overlooked ‘freedom’ and ‘liberty’

I hear it’s common with other two bit tin pots.

Looks like Obama said ‘I’ 76 times for anyone curious.. more than the other presidents they have listed here http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2010/jan/27/obama-state-of-the-union-addresses-wordle-presidents

I have to say from a literary standpoint, President Obama sure loves his personal pronouns. 🙂

He looms large for a nasty little maggot.

Try this version of the transcript through Wordle, without any editing. The NYT says this is how it was released from the White House – note what comes across more than anything else, and what this President craves the most.

Wordle left out “I” , “me,” and “my.” Some wordcloud…

I didn’t watch it, but from what I’ve heard that visual pretty well describes how organized it was…

I wonder whether he would have got better grades on it if he had just read the words in alphabetical order, and the number of times they appear…

I, I, I, I, …. (or we’ll never get done) … I, I, I, ….. I, I, …………. I, I, I, uh, I, I, …… um, I, I, …………………….. I, I, I, I, ……… my, my, my, my, …… oh, uh, my, my my, ….

….oh my, well you get the picture.

WHAT THE….?

so, when did you guys go continental? I go away for a few days, and come back to find I’m a foreigner. Sheesh!

What a great way to analyze the key words. Thanks for sharing.

I pasted the text of the Bob McDonnell’s well-delivered Republican response into Wordle. A positive, profound word cloud emerged!!!
