I’m thinking the next filing of papers about this idiot’s birth certificate might just get a bit more than a passing glance and a shrug-off by the SCOTUS.

Remember, Zaleya pitted himself against the Honduras supreme court and their constitution.

The president along with his liberal pals are committing a big mistake by underestimating the analytical capabilities of the American people and that may and should lead to their highly anticipated demise.
Obama picked (or was provided with) words for his speech that appeal to the people of this country: human dignity, liberties, never give up, be a leader on the global arena, etc. The problem with these words is that they were tossed around as yummy bones for people to be blinded with so they fail to pick on the poisonous substance of his speech: more government is good, more spending is even better. People associate themselves with such grand concepts and as a result they mostly likely will agree with the president. He speaks the language of this country but he is not in spirit with it. Where does he belong? He claims “America was always a leader”, yet he flies around the world apologizing for its leadership. “We are sent here by the people to do what’s best for them” yet he tells them (paraphrasing): “The people are not elevated enough (i.e. stupid) to understand the complexity of the healthcare reform so I will explain it to you again…for the 300th time”
The American people should be legitimately insulted by this speech. If Obama had shown that he aches for this country as much as the people do, accepted his failures and promised to listen more to what the people are saying not msnbc, he would have risen in our eyes. But he failed. Yet again.

…and one last thing.
Obama speaks of Washington as if it were his bad neighbor. Did anybody tell him that he IS Washington?

Just offering this to the FA staff … I’m beyond ‘at a loss’:

OK, now let’s put this little commentary and exchange on FOX.

Matthews, played by Beck or Hannity.

Maddow played by Greta or Ann Coulter.

Would the words “fun to talk to” and “big thinker” be used by either Matthews or Madcow in thier viewing of an exact commentary or exchange, except by FOX talking heads?

Always smart to make enemies of the supreme court. Prolly did that so now when he comes up with a stupid idea, instead of republicans say “NO” it will be the supreme court as-well. There by making the system the enemy of the illustrious cult of the one.

🙂 Just funning around, alittle.

Good letter Mike.

Only got to see the first few minutes of the speech, but one comment in the clips this morning said much. He was accusing the left side of running for the hills, kind of negates most of his other words, as “just words.” What does he expect from them? Massachusetts obviously is beyond his understanding.

Attacking SCOTUS was more evidence of his immaturity, someone needs to buy him some “couth.”

Just look at those happy faces. Even the ones who like him are looking daggers. I agree with the poster who said that the birthers may not have a real hard time if the case ever gets to SCOTUS.

Here is a transcription of the clip:

“With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the flood gates for special interests, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections. I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by American’s most powerful interests. Or worse by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people. And I’d urge Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps correct some of these problems.”

UNBELIEVABLE!

He doesn’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests or worse by foreign entities???? His entire campaign was funded by ALL of the things he condemns here! Elections should be decided by the American people? Excuse me, but railroading your competition out of the primary by stealing her delegates and bullying the ones who wouldn’t be stolen is NOT letting the American people decide an election. Incorporating EVERYTHING you condemn here in your own campaign is NOT letting the American people decide an election!!

EVERY*WORD*A*LIE!!!

I hope he did cheese off the SCOTUS enough to get them on the side of the eligibility contenders.

@JanH:

Does anyone wonder if foreign donors have been scrubbed from Organizing for America’s e-mail list? or if they fixed that little credit card donor problem yet?

Oh my, look at this:

About an hour after the end of his State of the Union address, in which he called for an end to the partisan conflict that has plagued his first year in office, President Obama sent out a political fundraising appeal through his permanent campaign organization, Organizing for America.

“I just finished delivering my first State of the Union address,” Obama wrote in the letter, which was headlined “I cannot do it alone.” “I set out an urgent plan for restoring economic security for struggling middle class families. This is my top priority, but I cannot do it alone — and that’s why I’m writing to you now.”

Obama discussed his economic proposals and also vowed not to walk away from the goal of passing a national health care bill. And then the pitch. “I need your voice. I need your passion,” he concluded. “Can you help fuel our fight for the middle class with a monthly donation of $15 or more?”</blockquote>

Just found out the heroes that stopped the Ft. Hood terrorist from more carnage were seated next to the “dressed in purple” FLOTUS. Unfortunately an introduction of them was not in the TOTUS.

The wearing of purple or lavendar was supposedly in support of Independents, but, some believe it was more than likely meant to support SEIU.

@Maggie: Chris Matthews said “I forgot he was black tonight?” Doesn’t that mean that on all prior occasions Obama’s race was at the top of Matthews’ mind?

@Missy: Obama needs couth and a clue.

@Missy:

Good grief! It never ends, does it? 🙁

I agree with Sarah Palin, he was lecturing to the Republicans and Supreme Court. He was saying do as I tell you and we will get along fine, otherwise there will be hell to pay. The 70 minutes he talked, he said the same old garbage he has said before, not even he believes it. I watched the speech last night and the only thing I could come up with is, if this is the smartest president we ever had, we are in deep doo doo,

The heroes, who took down the Ft. Hood jihadist Hasan, were present, and not one peep from this twit! That is unforgivable!!! I can’t accept any explanation, or excuses for this intentional snub!!

@Maggie: @Maggie:

From your keyboard to the SCOTUS docket!

After the Supreme Court (The most powerful branch of government) gets through with Obama, his speech will be remembered as “The Mistake of the Union Address”.

I’ve actually been surprised that none of FA’s authors have written on the recent SCOTUS campaign financing ruling. Can I look forward to an article on this now? Some would say that the Right has been silent about it because it benefits them….

@Missy: OK, I can’t resist…. Below, from the play and film version of… oddly enough… Chicago. heh

Wouldn’t you know it’s all about getting away with murder…. literally instead of politically.

@Cary: Been planning a post on that ruling, but work keeps getting in the way. Has nothing to do with special benefits to the GOP, since Obama was also the beneficiary of large corporations and foreign donations… as @Missy noted above. Corporate money always crosses the partisan aisle. The Dems hands are far from clean… most notably Obama’s.

@Cary: So many issues to blog about and so little time.

I’m not really all that interested in that particular issue and I don’t think it benefits the right all that much.

Though I have been enjoying watching the Dems squeal about it. They know perfectly well that if there is anything like a level playing field (which this ruling does not do) they will lose elections.

@MataHarley:

Chicago is one of the better Broadway musicals put on film, enjoyed the clip! =)

Corporate money always crosses the partisan aisle. The Dems hands are far from clean…

Oh, I’m not disagreeing with that, at all. But, without looking up exact numbers, it is well known that the large corporations tend to financially back Republican candidates to a much greater extent than they do Democratic ones. I’m not saying that anyone is in anyone’s pockets, or that it’s solely one side of the isle, but the biggest money does seem to favor your side. Perhaps SCOTUS was simply doing their jobs by interpreting the law as written. That’s why I signed the petition asking Congress to write a new law so that this wouldn’t happen for either side.

Cary: But, without looking up exact numbers, it is well known that the large corporations tend to financially back Republican candidates to a much greater extent than they do Democratic ones.

Beg to differ, Cary. That is a “well known” talking point, but not fact. Speaking of facts, the top two money industries are banking/finance and pharma. Both of which backed Obama heavily and threw pennies at McCain. Both those industries are deeply entrenched with the Dems.

However the trend for most big corporations is to give money to both parties, but always more to the one’s holding the majority power.

Have to agree that Chicago translated to film better than most Broadway plays. Also surprising the talent of Zeta Jones, Zellweger, and Gere. Zeta Jones had dance and play background, Gere some musicals. Zellweger a total surprise.

@MataHarley:

I don’t really like that either. Do you?

When did unfettered free speech, especially political speech, which was the specific focus and intent of the Founders, become a left/right issue?

Exit questions for Cary: Was it right for the Court to decide that the documentary “Hillary: The Movie” could not be released?

In the same vein, was the gov’t correct in its’ arguments before SCOTUS that they have the right under election law to limit the release of books with candidate references as well?

Finally, where does the line get drawn once the barn door is slammed shut on some parties but not others?

Obama is like the arrogant rooster who thinks the sun rises to hear him crow. In a condescending manner he advises us that he is not about to give up, he intends to push on with his agendas, even if he loses his numerical advantage in the legislature: it is we who do not follow him, who are the unpatriotic.

We who are blasphemous sinners for refusing his direction for us and the country, he speaks to us as if he were speaking from John 8:12, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Using patriotism as a badge of honor, an honor he has never earned but only scorned, he accuses those who are resisting his Marxism as being unpatriotic, the legislators who vote against his bills as being obstructionists: in Obama’s view from Hosea, “ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity, ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way.”

Using his soon to be impotent threats of veto, he threatens with a paraphrase of another simple minded Marxist peasant ideologue Nikita Khrushchev, “If you start throwing hedgehogs under me, I will start throwing porcupines under you.”

Oh we should give Fearless Leader the credit he deserves, he has improved his speech mannerisms and dramatic gestures, he no longer woodenly darts his eyes in desperation from right teleprompter to left teleprompter like a wax museum caricature, he can now pause for comedic and dramatic effect and smile with his jaw clenched and his teeth showing in an obvious taunt and threat, oh but hasn’t he has availed himself the opportunity to speak or practice on many occasions.

He has the look of a harassed rat that is about to be cornered by pit bulls; yet puts on a heroic, but empty stance of heroism in the face of defeat.

@Cary:

I don’t really like that either. Do you?

As far as I can tell, all this ruling did was provide transparency, since money would simply get funneled through by other means.

Obama, like the eagle soars high above such considerations as other branches of the government, the US Constitution, individual rights of free speech and freedom to assemble. Yes, he is so high above these like the mighty eagle.

Obama, like the scruffy magpie squats on the branch of his dead tree and squawks at everyone passing nearby. He squats and squawks and ponders, “Can I find me a good man to crap upon today”?

@MataHarley:

Very good!

Actually, from the beginning of the Obama 08′ campaign, I often thought of Caberet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1NV56FyQGc

@Cary: Go look up how much labor unions spent on behalf of Obama. NOT how much they donated directly to his campaign, but how much they spent independently.

@MataHarley:

This from Pamela Geller’s investigation into Obama’s foreign donors:

Monir Edwan, one of Obama’s Gazan donors, said he sold Obama t-shirts that the campaign had sent him in Gaza for around $9, and that a profit was made. “Some young men,” Edwan explained, “even bought the T-shirts for 60 shekel ($17.29), which is a lot to spend in Gaza on a t-shirt, but that is how much Gazans like Obama.” I love it: jihadis in Obama Tees. How fitting.

On Watchdog.net, a site that monitors campaign contributions, Monir Edwan is listed as Barack Obama’s Top Contributor, giving $24,313 between October 27, 2007 and November 11, 2007. However, although it gives zip codes and other details for the other four of Obama’s top five individual contributors, it provides no additional information at all for Monir Edwan — and Edwan’s link is the only dead one on the Watchdog page.

Why did Palestinians in a Gaza refugee camp have such love for Obama in the summer of 2008? Did they know he was going to run a virulently anti-Israel, pro-jihad presidency?

Gaza was not alone. The contributions came from over 50 nations. And many seemed intent on skirting campaign finance laws: Obama’s foreign contributors were making multiple small donations, ostensibly in their own names, over a period of a few days, some under maximum donation allowances — but others were aggregating in excess of the maximums when their contributions were all added up. Other donations came in from donors with names such as “Hbkjb,” “jkbkj,” and “Doodad.” Also, thousands of Obama’s foreign donations ended in cents. This was evidence of foreign contributors sending in donations in foreign currencies that exchanged into odd amounts. Americans living overseas would almost uniformly be able to contribute dollars, in set amounts.

The Obama campaign received a substantial amount of money from countries that have an interest in seeing a weak American President: $366,708.22 from China; $25,259.00 from the United Arab Emirates; $7,062.60 from Russia; and $6,716.28 from Saudi Arabia. Obama also took in $6,350.00 from Indonesia; $5,000.00 from Kenya; and $1,750.00 from Egypt.

The FEC alleges that Obama also illegally took donations from Tamil Tiger leaders. The Tamil Tigers are, according to the FBI, the most successful terrorist group in the world. While the Hillary Clinton returned contributions from the Tamil Tigers, Obama kept them.

There are many other questions and mysteries regarding Obama’s campaign finances. The Puma P.A.C. blog notes: “Obama spent a record $744 million on his campaign but has disclosed donors for only $485 million of his windfall.”

Obama said he would rather be a very good one term president then a mediocre two term president, he should have stayed home last night. His speech on the SOTU showed exactly how mediocre he is.

Sarah hit him with a nightstick on her facebook. Conservatives4palin has it on their blog. One of her best blogs.
