WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU PEOPLE OF MASSACHUSETTS!!!!!!! 🙂

Best News I have had this week. I sincerely hope that Brown carries this race.

His victory will erase the super majority in the Senate and erase the half century of shame that “the Swimmer” stained the people of Mass. and the Nation with. Lets hope there are no Franken style dirty tricks in the works so Brown can take care of Governing upon certification. The days of Kennedy style Ruling has come to a close. The US Senate is NOT the House of Lords with inherited seats. This election serves as fair warning to non responsive Office Holders. Take Nothing for Granted, Ever!

Listen to your Constituents NOW or find a new line of work at the end of your term!

I’m not even a Republican but I am damn proud to be an American today. My sincere thanks Massachusetts!

HELL-FRIGGIN-YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Mike, you beat me to it!! In trying to find a victory dance video, this is all I could find:

It’s not an elephant, and not political, but at least it’s in Boston!!! 😉

@SoCal Chris: That video was cute!

I’m still STUNNED by what happened tonight.

Brown’s margin of VICTORY is just SOOO HUGE that the Dems won’t be able to delay seating him.

I’d like to say absolutely that the Dems health care plans are DEAD, DEAD, DEAD but I know how those vampires will try and find a back door way to get something through.

But just think about this: A little more than a year ago we were so down in the dumps when the liar Obama won. Now, the people of Massachusetts of all places rejected Obama big time.

As I said to some of our Dem friends who were crowing a year ago: payback is going to be a bitch!

It’s late, fortunetly I have a job to go to tomorrow. But I have a frosty cold bottle of SAM ADAMS boston lagar which I’am going to tap when I get home. And raise a toast to the people of Massachusetts.

Mazal Tov Scott Brown and FA!

Scott Brown watches the returns with his family.

WONDERFUL!!!!! 🙂

@Mike’s America:

Thanks Mike! Here’s one more I couldn’t pass up–it’s a la Peanuts style:

Yes, this IS HUGE, and definitely a referendum, I believe, on Obama’s policies that aren’t for the good of Americans, and the collective voice of the voters in MA was heard!

I am SO happy to be hearing Coakley’s concession speech as I was preparing for another Barney Frank type of adding up of the votes (steeped in corruption).

Sarah Palin is on Greta right now!! Great!

@SoCal Chris: I get the dancing bear above but dancing bunnies?

Well… to all those that ridiculed me as overly optimistic back before Christmas… I would like to say…. I made a $hitload of phone calls from Washington State on behalf of Scott Brown, posted how to get involved in his campaign on a myriad of blogs and donated money. I feel like I have done my small part and I’m ready to do it all over again for the right candidates come this fall. We all have time… get involved.

wooohoooo…….

@Mike’s America:
I know, the bunnies just aren’t quite as macho, to be sure!!! But, ya gotta love Snoopy! 🙂

@Donald Bly: You proved that one person can get involved and make a difference.

Thank you for your efforts and what a great example you set for the rest of us in the coming months.

The shockwaves of this stunning VICTORY for Brown will ripple all across the country. Let’s go out and find good candidates in all Senate and House races and back them to the hilt!

Mikes America,

You had asked for a link of this type sometime last week. It is in regards to some of the quiet distributions being made by the RNC. I found this on Hot Air.

http://hotair.com/archives/2010/01/19/nrsc-rnc-quietly-moved-money-into-massachusetts-last-two-weeks/

This is what Steele has been doing with his increased revenues, rather than banking them. So the next time you read about smaller bank accounts, please realize that there is a new strategy afoot. I don’t know if the strategy is a good idea or not, but it seems to have worked out in Mass. The Coakley Campaign probably still doesn’t know what hit it.

Anyone want a trip down memory lane from Larry on ObamaCare?

Wow, this is absolutely huge; it will be a game changer. No longer will the Party of No be able to assert that it’s only Obamamaniacs and socialists who want to get this done. Read all the stories flooding Google News right now.

Here is the link to the full text NEJM article: http://healthcarereform.nejm.org/?p=1785&query=home

And, for e.g. (from Newsweek):

The report, published in The New England Journal of Medicine and written by Salmoeh Keyhani and Alex Federman of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, surveyed 2,130 physicians between June 25 and Sept. 3. The poll examined support for the public option geographically, too, finding that a majority of physicians in all regions supported it. “The clear message here is that physicians who are on the front line of the health-care system know the system is broken and that it’s time for us to do something about it,” says John Lumpkins, a senior vice president at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

It’s not a Democrat versus Republican thing. It’s an American thing. Americans will recognize that Obama is just trying to do what the doctors who provide front line health care think should be done. And they will recognize that efforts to torpedo this are simply selfish partisan politics.

Watch and see. Filibuster-proof majority, for sure. This provides all the “cover” the moderates need.

– Larry Weisenthal/Huntington Beach, CA

Knew there was a reason why I noted all of Larry’s “predictions”

Nice…..another one:

Obama is an incredible politician. Here’s what I predict. He’s basically going to toss the hard core liberal “base” under the bus. Where else are they going to go? Are they going to vote for Sarah Palin? And he’s going to move as far as he can to the Right to marginalize the GOP and possibly to destroy the GOP, which will lose the economic conservatives to Obama and which will lose the strong national defense segment to Obama and which will be left only with the Evangelicals and racists and anti-immigrants as a dependable base.

@SoCal Chris: I completely understand… I’m a bit giddy myself tonigh even though I don’t feel like a dancing bunny.

Let’s all remember this night in the coming struggles. Adams, Washington et al saw the Hand of Divine Providence in some of the miraculous events which gave birth to our nation. It was the faith and bravery of ordinary people that God used. Perseverance through the last couple of years got us to this night, because we believed and acted. Like Churchill said, let us DETERMINE that we will NEVER GIVE UP even when they come back at us with all they have, “knowing we will NOT be put to shame”!

Wow! Mike’s America that was a fantastic string of a propos puns to celebrate with!

Did you see Doug Flutie’s band playing for Scott Brown? Similar David vs. Goliath determination in that young lad if you recall The Pass. Well, Brown has CONNECTED and scored a win for our country and the world!

@Donald Bly:
How about helping to get rid of Scumer (sic) in NY? He needs to go bye-bye

@Flyovercountry: Thanks. I saw the original article at Politico today after John Cooper linked to it.

Note that the NRSC still suffers a disadvantage in fundraising compared to the Dems:

http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2009/12/democrats-have-more-cash-available-for-2010-battle.html

Hopefully this victory will bring fresh funds to the NRSC. It’s also nice to see that the Dems wasted millions on Coakley.

We sure got our money’s worth with Brown!

@mlajoie2: I did see the band. I didn’t know Doug Flutie had a band!

@Curt: You notice that as Obama’s poll numbers continued to dip Larry slunk slowly away? After tonight I doubt we’ll be hearing from him anytime soon.

Yeah, noticed that….I’m shocked. For some reason him and his predictions popped into my head as I was reading about the Brown win.

@Mike’s America:
Of course, they have more money; they accept all credit cards and all aliases.

Great job Scott,
and great post Mike- linked at Reaganite Republican

Damn, we needed this one…

http://reaganiterepublicanresistance.blogspot.com

I love the sweet smell of November in the morning. It smells like … VICTORY!

Photobucket

Couldn’t resist.

WE WON! Better than that, we are now mainstream.

I want to join hands and thank everyone here for their contributions, however sized and however varied that have lead to this wonderful event. I find it so interesting that as so often is the case, the opportunity to stop Obama came from a wholly unanticipated source. What is critical here is that folks like Donald Bly got the ball rolling and thousands of others had their eyes opened, opened their wallets and started and maintained conversations all over the blogosphere. This is a great lesson as to how empowering the web has become. We must not become complacent. There is much more work to do. We can stop the madness and get the governance of the country and our states back to the rational. I have gone from fear to confidence in one election a whole continent away. What a great feeling.

Disturber

Thank You Massachusetts!!!

INDEPENDENCE DEFEATS ARROGANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Senator Brown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Curt:

I hear he’s running, swimming and walking away from this as FAST as he can go.

And he claims to be a doctor? As I said before, we should write to the guy he’s pretending to be to see if it’s really him, not that now he would tell the truth if he was… “Me, post on F.A.? Nah, never heard of it. Why do you ask?”

That tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good, good night

A feeling, woohoo, that tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good night
That tonight’s gonna be a good, good night

Tonight’s the night, let’s live it up
I got my money, let’s spend it up
Go out and smash it like oh my God
Jump off that sofa, let’s get, get off

Priceless watching MadCow and Chris-of-tingly-leg Matthews tonight. Had to take the “low road” approach to election returns for amusement.

Jim Webb… no way Jose on health care now

Barney Frank… no way Jose on health care now

What remains to be see tomorrow is, does the Obama WH take the MSNBC route and blame the candidate and the campaign for failure and push ahead? Or do they back down?

Alinsky says to double down.

Me? Will be incessantly amused watching.

Add another. Evan Bayh calls advancing the leftist agenda catastrophic.

Even before the votes are counted, Senator Evan Bayh is warning fellow Democrats that ignoring the lessons of the Massachusetts Senate race will “lead to even further catastrophe” for their party.

“There’s going to be a tendency on the part of our people to be in denial about all this,” Bayh told ABC News, but “if you lose Massachusetts and that’s not a wake-up call, there’s no hope of waking up.”

What is the lesson of Massachusetts – where Democrats face the prospects of losing a Senate seat they’ve held since 1952? For Senator Bayh the lesson is that the party pushed an agenda that is too far to the left, alienating moderate and independent voters.

Within hours of Coakley’s concession, they are dropping like flies. HOOYAH!

John Stewart says it best…

Look like Specter is one step closer to being out of job. Recall a few months ago when he jumped parties and pledged his loyalty:

“I came to this caucus to be your 60th vote.”

Well, looks like the Dem’s don’t need you anymore and neither do the voters in Pennsylvania. Senator Specter, consider yourself fired.

@Curt:

Since we’re doing a little bit of memory lane walking, I thought I’d re-post a prediction I made way back in Feb 2009:

Yes, Mike, I think that enthusiasm is definitely returning.

The Dims will overreach on everything they try to do. They always do.

The American People are going to recoil from them. It’s already begun.

Santelli was just a very public salvo, a ’shot cross the bow’ if you will, of an undercurrent which has already begun to shift.

The American People are tired of this foolishness. They are tired of working hard to support themselves and their families and to provide for their futures only to have Nanny Gov’t come in and take it from them so that the leeches and non-producers of society can suck some more out of the gov’t teat.

The tide is turning.

As Rush said on Thursday, there’s a “whiff of revolution” in the air.

This Revolution will be bloodless, but no less transformational.

Samuel Adams said:

“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in the people’s minds.”

That quote is now my mantra.

2010 is right around the corner.

Well, 2010 is here folks and tonight put the first piece of the puzzle into place.

The Dims are already abandoning the ObamaCare ship but there is much work left to be done.

There will be many restless, uneasy sleepers in DC and within the DNC tonight and we must keep the pressure on in order to be sure that they remain restless and uneasy. We want to make sure that they receive the clear, concise, and unmistakable message that there are no safe seats.

We want to make sure that they know that one by one by one we will take their seats from them. We have the steely-eyed resolve, the grit, and the determination to get the job done.

Tonight, I was watching the pundits on MSNBC while reading commentary etc on the Interwebz. Their sheer disbelief was astounding. They truly couldn’t believe what was happening to them. The politicians and the DC / Media establishment were so very close to grabbing the brass ring but they just couldn’t quite do it.

Tomorrow, the battle kicks up a notch. For you see tomorrow begins the battle within the Democratic Party. They’ve spent the better part of the last year blaming the GOP for being the “party of no” when, in reality, every Republican could go home and they still have the votes to pass whatever they want.

The Democratic Party begins an epic struggle within itself tomorrow. On one side you have the the normal, everyday, run of the mill left-leaning politicians. On the other side you have the radial, Marxist, socialist element. One side wants to double down, get combative, and ram their agenda down your throat or up your rear whether you like it or not. In this battle, there can be only one winner and the outcome will determine the course of their party for the next 40 years.

The Dims have run themselves full bore right to the edge of a yawning abyss. Now they have to see if they can fight their way away from the precipice.

It is my belief that the results in MA show that the the American People have finally begun to wake up to what the rest of us have been shouting for two years or longer now.

As the results came in this evening, I was reminded of the quote from Japanese Admiral Yamamoto following the Pearl Harbor attack:

“We have awakened a sleeping giant and have instilled in him a terrible resolve”.

Yes indeed, We the People have been awakened.

To B-Rob from Rush:

This one’s for you, Mary Jo.

We of good cheer should offer our friends on the other side of the aisle some good advice:

DON’T CHANGE A THING.

KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

FOLLOW THE LEAD OF THE PRESIDENT.

SUPPORT THE STRATEGY OF REID AND PELOSI.

@MataHarley: Bayh said: “if you lose Massachusetts and that’s not a wake-up call, there’s no hope of waking up.” And yet Obama seems inclined to fight. I can’t believe he’s that dumb but I could be wrong.

@Aye Chihuahua: That Mary Jo Kopechne photoshop was wicked funny!

And yes, I think we all sensed that there would be a blowback on Obama once he was exposed.

But NO ONE could have imagined the biggest blow in the blowback would happen in Massachusetts with a Republican taking Kennedy’s seat!

This thing is just sooo huge it’s hard to get my mind around it!

A great night!

One of the top campaign victories of my life. Especially because it means so much for what can happen in the future if we play our cards right.

Mike’s A: But NO ONE could have imagined the biggest blow in the blowback would happen in Massachusetts with a Republican taking Kennedy’s seat!

This thing is just sooo huge it’s hard to get my mind around it!

Judy Woodruff described this scenario prior to it’s fruition as “a tragedy of Greek proportions”. A WH spokesman said the notion of Kennedy’s vacancy being filled by one who intended to kill the health care bill was “Shakespearean”.

Obama’s been ready to fight up until this eve. But with even major Dems backing off hours after the Brown win, he may think twice about it tomorrow in the light of day….

…. or double down. Hard to say.

Yup… great night. And frankly, my favorite part all day was watching the MSM talking head media melt down. LOL

@Aye Chihuahua: Allow me to add a “chorus” for the billy bob singsong…

MORON!

BWAHAHAHAHA

I hope Ted Kennedy’s rolling over and over in his grave, right now.

Uberscum is even more livid with Brown now that he won. I’ve seen rabid dogs that are more sane. Matthews sounds like he’s been drinking, and madcow agrees with the other loons that if they don’t pass HCR then the dem party will suffer worse in November than if they don’t.
Someone pinch me.
Yeeehaaaaaah!

It was so fitting that I was at a tea party meeting tonight when the results started breaking. The cheers were amazing!! Many of the folks there had gone up to Massachusetts to campaign for Scott and were tickled silly that it was all working out so well. It was an incredible outpouring of support for an incredible comeback – down 30 pts in December. We all should be very proud that in spite of getting stomped on daily for the past year, having our dignity and values derided and belittled at every turn – yes, in spite of all that we pulled together and kicked some donkey butt !!! Scott’s campaign should serve as a worthy guide to any candidate not willing to toe the status quo good old boy network line. Stand for principles and the people will stand with you.

The lefist liberal heads will be exploding all across the country …. damn but it’s sweet.

MSM did try one of those dirty tricks we’ve all gotten to know and “love” so well.

@Skye:

That clown was senator when I was in Philly, over 25 years ago. Loosing him, at last, is looooooong overdue.
