Sarkozy is absolutely right. Obama has bent over backwards to excuse the Iranians bold defiance of the International community and went out of his way to avoid criticizing Iran as it massacred it’s citizens in the streets of Tehran after the Iranian election.

Then, we have the spectacle of Obama chairing the UN Security Council meeting on the topic of nuclear proliferation and he fails to mention the bombshell news that Iran had a secret nuclear site which can have no other purpose than to build a bomb. What better forum exists than to discuss such an event with world leaders assembled at the UN? It’s as if Obie doesn’t want to embarrass the Iranian leader who spoke before the UN the same day Obama did. Obie waits until he goes to Pittsburgh for the G-20 meeting before he makes that announcement.

Then, Obie makes Iran the centerpiece of his Saturday radio talk holding out yet another Olive branch to Iran. The Iranians respond by launching a salvo of new missiles with the range to hit our allies in Eastern Europe where Obie has just canceled the missile defense program.

It’s as if the Iranians are laughing at Obama and openly taunting him.

We all know what happened when Rev. Wright did that. Obama doesn’t like to be dissed. Will he respond by doing something reckless? Probably not. But if he continues to demonstrate such weakness in the face of brazen provocation any weight U.S. leadership may have in the world will disappear.

That is something that will have profound and dangerous consequences for world peace.

Sarkozy understands this. Obama is a sociopath who only hears the sound of his own voice.

We are in deep trouble.

I believe Sarkozy is absolutely correct about Barack Hussein Obama. We knew when he was running for the presidency that he was NOT qualified to be president. Hussein has never run a business of any kind or size, he has never had to deal with payroll, insurance and taxes. He cannot project for the future, he simply doesn’t have a clue. He should not be in the position he is in. This man is not a real American (he doesn’t love this great nation), he is not a Christian in fact I truly believe he IS a muslim. We all know that he lies constantly and he does think he is the greatest!! It makes me sick to my stomack that this egotistical man is president of the most wonderful country in the world. I can’t wait until his four years are up.

Believe me, I am NOT a racist. This has nothing to do with the color of someone’s skin. If a Democrat had to be in office, I would rather Clinton was back in. At least Clinton was more qualified for the job.

Sarkozy – change you can believe in. Too bad that we have to be told what a nitwit we have from other heads of state. Bush may not have been liked, but he was DAMN WELL RESPECTED!

How long will it be before the leftwing attack machine goes after Sarkozy, I bet they are combing through his pre-election op research right now. They will have him several notches below Roman Polanski before they are done with him.

Sarkozy is on the money with his assessment of the lack of character and understanding that Obama has. You know it is soooo hard to give him the title of president.

I think that given the speech by Prime Minister Netanyahu at the U.N. he is clearly the leader of the free world. Bold leadership is the demonstration of strong integrity that doesn’t waver per the opinion polls. Bold leadership is the demonstration that one is responsible for the preservation of the nation. Bold leadership is the demonstration that is respected.

Popularity among the folk who voted Obama into office was not based, is not based on respect. Playing buddy and bustin’ moves on talk shows isn’t going to preserve our country.

Iran has set it’s goals on annihilation of the Jewish people and the U.S. and ultimately any who will not bow to the 12th Imman and follow Islam. Nice people to “negotiate” with over tea.

Sheesh, you can’t make this stuff up. Obama’s babysitters unwittingly reveal their ongoing campaign for the world’s best faux leader/god. Sarkozy’s timing was imperfect, his concern for Iran’s nuclear weapons capability was not going to be allowed to interfere with the more important ongoing promotion of Obama on the world stage, silly man.

President Sarkozy in particular pushed hard. He had been “frustrated” for months about Mr. Obama’s reluctance to confront Iran, a senior French government official told us, and saw an opportunity to change momentum. But the Administration told the French that it didn’t want to “spoil the image of success” for Mr. Obama’s debut at the U.N. and his homily calling for a world without nuclear weapons, according to the Paris daily Le Monde. So the Iran bombshell was pushed back a day to Pittsburgh, where the G-20 were meeting to discuss economic policy.

Le Monde’s diplomatic correspondent, Natalie Nougayrède, reports that a draft of Mr. Sarkozy’s speech to the Security Council Thursday included a section on Iran’s latest deception. Forced to scrap that bit, the French President let his frustration show with undiplomatic gusto in his formal remarks, laying into what he called the “dream” of disarmament. The address takes on added meaning now that we know the backroom discussions.

You gotta’ have an ego large enough to have it’s own planetary system when the country that followed Napoleon says you’re egotistical.
At least they hated and mocked Bush, they’re just laughing behind the smuck’s back. It’s been an education for the leaders of Europe, now they know what a truely “Ugly American” looks like. They were expecting some kind of American hero, but all they got was Elmer Fudd.

You know you are in trouble when you are Democrat and are being criticized by French. Sadly, Sarkozy is not way off the mark. This President is proving to be a bigger failure than some of his rivals during primary/general election were claiming he would be. I don’t think it can be explained away by lack of experience. It can only be explained by unwillingness to surround himself with reasonable people. I can’t recall a US President in the past 30 years who had surrounded himself with as many unreasonable people as the current one.

To top it all, his surrogates call anyone who criticizes him a ‘racist’. They all claimed that Bush did not like being criticized. They are using the same tactics as previous administration to silence their critics.

He, I think, is happy enough to be the first non-caucasian President. He has a chance to be one of the best Presidents of this country (given the number of major challenges he is facing here at home) but he is more focussed on getting Olympics to Chicago (when he is not appearing on Letterman….which he does when he is not frisking off his wife to a much-publicised romantic night out). The man will go down as ‘all eloquence and no execution’.

Being a moderate, I can say that this administration has proved to me that lunatics on the left are far worse than fanatics on the right. Who is that czar who wants animals to have rights to sue people in a court of law? Obama is worse than Bush because Bush atleast knew how to get his agenda and policies (even the bad ones) through the Congress.

Oprah wanted a Black President and she got one. We all have to live with her choice for the next 3 years. When he is done, we all will be debating who was worse: Carter or Obama.

Dear qwuasi, trying to justify Obama’s diplomatic skills by saying there are only two choices: war and submission, is as pointless as a man looking for a corner in a silo to take a piss. A diplomatic statesman has the ability to analyze and apply pressure with superior intellect and coercion.

At one time we had a vast superiority because of our weaponry, now that Fearless Reader has decided to play the impotent appeaser, our advantages are being eroded.

Authoritarian governments will hate us because we represent an enemy on several fronts: we have freedom, we stand up to tyrants, and we represent power. What was once a position of power, is now a position of weakness and indecision. If someone doesn’t like you, ie Iran, you better make dang sure they respect you. Obama has turned the US from a formidable world power into a “Flower Child” version of its former self and the world is a far more dangerous place as a result of his gross incompetency.

Obama should practice his form of diplomacy from a position of weakness and supplication in some Third World cesspool of a country and see how long he would last. Marxist dictators have very little respect for weaker Marxists, Obama would be swept into the dustbin of history faster than his approval ratings drop into oblivion.

Please use your superior intellect and encourage Obama to become the leader of some third world country that hungers for Marxism. As a confidant you may be a colonel in no time and the two of you can explain the advantages of Marxism to the rest of the world, from a very real position of weakness.

Have a nit wit day.
