How in the name of all things Holy, can two words “You Lie!” get turned into a racist, get the nooses, and don’t forget your white hoods crap that is spewing from this idiots mouth? I find it hard to beleive that this idiot is a congressman, I find it harder to believe he was elected!

Geeeezzzz!

The new name for those who throw down the race card is ‘racers’

That was one of the funniest videos I have ever seen. That congressman is a complete idiot. He sounds like a racist. We need to call if exactly what it is. Racism. Yes, blacks are racist too. When I was younger I was a victim of Black on White racism. I know it exists. It is real. This guy is a complete fool and he justs wants to change everything into a race matter. That is how they got Mr. Obama elected. I remember overhearing a couple of young guys talk before the election and they said that anyone who did not foObama was a racist. I now many in the younger (stupider) generation that have that belief. This man is a very sad excuse for some one who is supposed to represent Americans, black and white.

@Paul91740: Cong. Johnson doesn’t “sound” like a racist. He IS a racist.

Stop! Before you go on and on about Johnson remember that we here in Ga. also had Cynthia McKinny, John Lewis and the Rep who told the Dr. that it was dispicable for him to ask a health care question at a town hall meeting about roads! We grow some whoppers here and some of them are so dumb that without gerrymandering they couldn’t get elected giving out $20 bills. I think it has become clear that most minority Reps have one thing on their minds and that is TAKING as much as they can get for their district. There is no sense of America with these people, just a take what you can get mentality. Joe Wilson has already done more for this country than Johnson and all like him will ever do. And his sons are all serving our great nation as well. Racist my ass!

They should be careful throwing that term out there. Every time they use it in a ridiculous situation they weaken it. Pretty soon the only weapon they have (claiming racism trump card) will be laughed at. Last thing black america needs, is white america no longer fearing the term “racist”.

Take a gander at the blacks on the ACORN tapes and that will answer your question. The distric ts of these guys are full of them. Gimme…Gimme…Gimme and as ignorant as hell.

The charge of racism is used where there isn’t an intellectual argument against an issue, and the one who is cornered reacts like a five-year-old who resorts to name-calling.

In other words, we’re seeing childish behavior from adults who should know better. It’s particularly pathetic when voiced by former presidents like Jimmy Carter.

This is proof that leftists aren’t mature enough to engage in the important world of politics.

Just another moron. I hope he thinks better than he talks. IMHO, using the race card everytime someone doesn’t agree with something has diminished the term. It’s only opinion, not something that has been proven. Sad that we have come to this.

What do you think would happen if the whites in congress banded together and went after Charlie Rangel? Oh I forgot only whites are racist. Oop’s made another mistake, Jimmy Carter is not a racist, he’s just an idiot.

I think these “racers” (luv it!) have once again misjudged the American people. This time badly.

Badly to the point that they HAVE turned the word into a “Term-of-Weakness”.

-The play on white-guilt had it’s last day, the moment Obama was elected (meaning “trusted”) by the American people. He ran on a centrist (to most white ears) position, and he won big with them.

Of course a big bunch of us, Blacks and Whites knew he was simply saying what the audience in front of him wanted to hear, and the audience projected what they HOPED onto him.

But as soon as those same Indy-Whites pushed back and started asking questions about Porculous, and were called racist for it, a bunch felt confused.

And when Cap and Tax got shoved though, when most know it’s a TAX and a job-killer, and expressed their reservations..sure enough the Racers were back out there defending it with no facts, just thinly disguised name-calling. Calling names to the same Whites who may have voted for him. Now a bunch more felt confused AND betrayed.

So now HealthCare of Doom is being shoved in our collective butts like the oversized finger of a drunk proctologist, and folks have real concerns. Some are indeed silly, but most are legit. The CBO seems concerned, but they are NOT called racist. (Hmmmm)

The voters thought that the “change” was going to be more akin to a fine-tuning, and not this whole-scale inversion of how things are done. A BIG part of the Americans who voted for him (and those of us who didn’t but wanted to give him a chance) are now feeling confused, betrayed, and pissed off, for expressing the SAME concerns the CBO did….But WE are called “racist” for it!

So what does the ProgLeadership do? They double-down by dragging out Carter (who used a LOT of racist terms in his Governor days) and every Racer willing to stand on a soapbox, to defend the “Blackness” rather than the program-in-question.

This may sound counter-intuitive, but this needs to be done, and a part of me is glad it is.
-Like squeezing the last of the pus out of a boil, this is their last harrah, and we can be done with them for good.

We will start to see an acceleration of Blacks and Ol’-school Democrat voters fall away from this Admin, and by 2010, the Racers and thinly-disguised Commie bastards will be either in the dustbin of history, or on the way.

We who push them out however must also keep the fire lit under the feet of those who replace them, be they Demo, Indy, or Repub. We can and must clean house, our own included. No more quietly accepting bad-behavior, and bad Bills by our own.

Blacks have an inferiority complex and it has nothing to do with Whites. They have it since they can have an understanding of what role they have in the American society. Most of them are poor and therefore, don’t finish school, go to jail, do drugs, have illegitimate kids,…And those who make it like Michael Jackson even changed the color of his skin …They need to grow up and get out the sleepery road of the racism card. To evolve as a society, there needs to be a process where you validate responsability.
“Divided I rule”, says Obama. The race issue will be used as long as he is President to have Whites against Blacks and not to focus on the real problems: His Marxism !

Republicans need to remember people voted for change. They are out of contact with the public! They act like a bunch of pissed off infants. We elected a black President so get over it!

@joe belleau:

There is nothing racist about criticizing Obama.

Remember, dissent is patriotic.

Thanks for stopping by.

@Joe

THIS is a comment by “Racer”. Blind to facts, reverting to a straw-man argument.

Look here, you bigoted jerk, I DON’T GIVE A DAMN WHAT COLOR THIS PROGRESSIVE PRESIDENT IS!!! I have in mind at least a dozen Black men and women I would have gladly voted for, and so do 99% of Conservatives. So STFU about it, pull your head out of your butt, and address the actual issues. Oh yea, you can’t…thus explaining your stupid freakin comment.

The majority of the “public” as you so flippantly stated is OPPOSED to the policies of this President. Just like they were opposed to the last LIBERAL president, who happend to be White.

The “change” was never defined, and when it was it, was so nebulous, as to be nothing but what the brain-dead sycophants projected onto him. Had he campaigned per what he’s actually doing, he would have never got past 20% of the vote, and more than likely had his ass handed to him by Hillary in the Primaries.

Your stupid statement about “getting over it” makes me want to puke. Did you “get over” the 2000 election? How about the 2004 election?

Go back to your mommy’s basement, open a new bag of CheezPuffs, and head on over to DemocratUnderground. You’ll find lot’s of folks your mental- age, in matching stained underware.

I just posted in the Weekly Open Thread about this. Hank is my congressman. I have no idea how that happened. They did some redistricting in 2000, an viola, Cynthia Mckinney was my new representative and now this tool I just sent him an email from his House Home page. I asked him where he was when Pete Stark made his tirade against Dubya.
Thing is, the tool ran unopposed in the primary and general election in 2008. I voted for Bugs Bunny. The GOP has to, HAS TO find someone to run against this idiot. Mike, you know how this stuff works, what can I do to launch a campaign against this moron? I’m going to write to the guys at Red State and see if they can do something too.

@ joe belleau
No one gives a crap what color his skin is moron. YOU elected a socialist. That’s why people are pissed off.

Count me among the confused. How can failed policies of the last century (socialism/communism) be labeled “progressive.” They’re REgressive, and so are all the morons who support them. As for intimidating people, how about those Black Panthers at the voting stations?

@Toothfairy

One of the tools used by these American-Communists is the re-definition of words used by the establishment. It is why the word: Discrimination got turned from a positive trait, into a negative trait. Think about the statement: “He has discriminating taste”. It’s original meaning denoted a person who can tell good from bad.

“Welfare” is another, and ‘Progressive” (meaning communist) is just another in a long list, now including “hope” and “change”.

If you look up the history of the Progressive movement in the country, you will see that it had it’s roots right after the turn of the 20th century, culminating with the Wilson Administration, (who in one of his first acts, fired all non-whites working in the Federal government) During this time Margaret Sanger started her push to reduce Black births under the guise of “reproductive health”…IOW, abortion.

This was also the time of Jim Crow laws: “Separate but Equal”. The Klan was given great leeway in their actions and it grew to millions of members. It was in my opinion the worse time in our county’s history.

If you recall during the Democrat primaries, Hillary was asked what kind of politician she thought herself as, and she stated: (paraphrase) “Progressive, in the mold of Wilson”.

Many of the the people who were part of this train of thought, came directly from the colleges and universities in the North East, and saw the voters as rubes who needed to be led by their “betters”.

Sound familiar?

So yes, they are indeed regressive, because even those old-school Progs were emulating what already happened in France/Russia after their bloody revolutions in the 1800’s, thinking that because it was “Superior-Americans carrying out the thoughts of Marx and Engels, that it would turn out “better”….Well at least they didn’t kill off 1/6 of the population, but it was only the fact that we have elections that stopped them….The damage took another 50 years to repair, but in looking at what the racist Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” did, we are once again in need of re-building, and cleaning up after them….And stopping this latest batch.

@joe belleau: We elected a Black Chairman of the RNC but that doesn’t stop you clowns from calling HIM every name in the book. Let’s not forget that when Michael Steele ran for office in Maryland, you Dems called him an OREO COOKIE.

That was after your side illegally obtained his credit history.

You want to talk about REAL racism, let’s review the crap you people said about Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas!

You have NOTHING said or done by the tea partiers that even comes close to compare with that.

@Aqua: Catherine Davis got less than 25% of the vote against this ass Johnson in 2006. Looks like GA-4 is a safe district. Contact your county GOP (do they have a web site?) and ask if anyone is interested in running in 2010.

@ Mike
Thanks Mike. I Googled the county GOP and emailed the chairman. I got an answer back in less than 15 minutes:

Hello Jim,

Thank you for your email. Congressman Johnson’s comments yesterday were absolutely uncalled for, and I think it’s proof that he has no interest in representing ‘all’ of the people in his district. I’ve been suggesting that people flood his office with phone calls and letters, as well as call in comments to the Rockdale Citizen poll, send letters to the editor, and send letters to the Rockdale news.

We are currently in the recruiting process for candidates and that seat is our main goal right now.

I usually donate a little money here and there to candidates I like. I never miss a chance to vote. But I have never gotten involved with the GOP directly. But that’s about to change.

If any of you have a chance to write or call this tool’s office, I beg you to do so. I will do everything in my power to get rid of him in 2010.

Holy Sh*t – I better never call a liar a liar to his face. I could be called a clansman. Where do these people come up with this stuff? If I call someone of any race a liar, it is because they are. Not because they are black, brown, red, green, purple, orange, white, etc. Stick with facts. If Hank Johnson wants to confront Joe Wilson about the “liar” remark, then do it. Don’t turn it into something it is not. Geez people. I hope the people in his district run him out of office not because of his race, but because he has no common sense or not enough sense to stick to the facts.
Typical liberal politician

Paul91740, I personally take offense to the charge you make that most young people believe that people who don’t support Obama are racists. By those remarks, I myself would have been the head of KKK for a long time coming, because in my surroundings, there was no one more opposed to Obama than I was. Far since the start of this election, as Mike’sA and Aye as my witness, I have been opposed to Obama. Still am.

I kinda figure that it’s just like Democrats to come up with a bogus charge like “racism” or “sexism” or what have you when they cannot argue against a Republican with a valid (or in Johnson’s case, relevant) argument of their own. For how long have they used the “racist” claim now? And what’s even sadder is that there are many others out there who believe these charges without saying “Hold on, now, let me go back and see if this guy’s actually right.”

Congress has become nothing more than a battleground between the Democrats and the Republicans trying to fight for control. None of us should believe any claim about bipartisanship by Obama or any other politician in Congress because these days, that’s too good to be true. We may have Republicans willing to work for some bipartisanship, but it’s fairly obvious that any slight disagreement with a Democrat’s point of view will result in nothing more than being called a racist.

P.S. Joe: If you don’t have anything relevant or intelligent to say, then please kindly shut the hell up.

@Aqua: Glad you were able to contact your county GOP Chairman and I do hope you will take his suggestions. Write those letters to the editor too!

It will be tough to unseat Johnson, but it’s still worth the effort to try.

Does this guy Johnson hold Town Hall meetings?

I have never written a letter to the editor, but I’ll give it a shot.

Johnson had a Town Hall meeting here in Rockdale County on the 27th. I was out of town.

This is going to sound stupid, but I swear it’s true and you can look it up. Our little town was pretty awesome up until about 5 years ago. For some reason, Oprah Winfreh came here to build a girls school and fell in love with the town. But that wasn’t enough for her. She told everyone on her show and watching her show how much she loved it and that she was building a house here. People moved here from all over, but mostly from New York. They bought expensive homes with no jobs. And I truly feel sorry for them, because 85% have lost there homes and they are moving back. I know a great deal of them sold homes they had to put down payments on the new homes.
Why do people move to a place that is better than the one they left and then immediately try to change it into the place they left?

@joe belleau:
[We elected a black President so get over it!]

Uh, not to get too nit picky, but you do mean biracial, don’t you? So, am I a racist against the white part of Obama, or the black part? Hmmm?

Really, all this talk about Joe Wilson, and racism on the part of every American who disagrees with Obama and the Democrats, is simply because they don’t want to answer the real questions about the bill, or anything else for that matter. If America was so racist, how’d the big “O” get elected? Believe me because I’ve seen it and heard it, not all who voted for him in November are behind this healthcare bill, including other decisions he’s made as well, so are they racists suddenly now, too?

@Aqua: We have the same problem here in SC where libs are moving down here to get away from the snow and try and bring all the nutty ideas for local and state government that did so much to screw up the rust belt states they leave behind.

It’s amazing that they want to move here considering that they think we are all a bunch of racists.

Regarding letters to the editor: they are VERY important. Even if your local paper doesn’t print your letter it does put the paper on notice that area readers have a different point of view. I sent a letter to my local paper about Joe Wilson (I posted the letter last week here) and hope to see it printed this week.

Before you write your letter, check the newspapers web site for their guidelines. I only had 250 words to get my point across and had to edit down my original letter.

You may also want to ask the county GOP if you can attend one of their meetings, or check to see what functions they have coming up that you can attend.

We need everyone to get off the fence and get involved in whatever way they feel comfortable doing. Letters to the Editor, contributions to candidates (I gave $ to Joe Wilson) and involvement in the local GOP are good first steps.

I hope it is okay to say this. I think that the “race card” is being played because it is the safe card to play. They want to garner guilt-ridden folk who like to think of themselves as enlightened and tolerant , as well as gain or I should in some instances say regain black constituents. But it IS the safe card to play because they are not really too fearful of inciting racial strife in our country. They are using black people.

But during the campaign, Obama himself made an issue of his name, Barack Hussein Obama. Funny name he said. And by his own admission, he too spent some years in an Indonesian Muslim school. The libs are not going to play that card though, because they cannot use the Muslims, they would not want to incite them. Fear makes for a certain kind of respect.

It is the very libs accusing conservative people with values that oppose the agenda of the president of being racist, that are the ones who are racist. Using the blacks, because really after all his Muslim heritage is what would make more sense to claim, though falsely too, that it is his Muslim link that is being prejudiced against.

I am not concerned with the color of his skin. I am deeply concerned about the color of his character.

Tx, I was reminded of your comment today when I was inspired by Glenn Beck to read quotes from Frederick Douglass.

“A man’s character always takes its hue, more or less, from the form and color of things about him.”
Frederick Douglass

Yes, most of us have been brought up to know that we are known by the company we keep. Birds of a feather…

This is perhaps the most concerning issue of Obama’s presidency. The company he keeps presently and the folk who have mentored him and got him his political start.

😳 Joe Wilson is a Republican@!
