Congressman Joe Wilson surpasses $1 million in contributions since challenging Obama! Some want him named “Truth Czar!”

Conservatives who wanted a champion not afraid to take the fight to Obama have found a hero in Joe Wilson, my congressman, who catapulted to fame by shouting “You LIE” at President Obama when he falsely claimed that WE were the ones lying about illegal immigrants qualifying for benefits under Democrat health care takeover plans!

Contributions have poured in from across the country from disaffected citizens willing to vote NO on Obama with their checkbooks by supporting a conservative like Joe.

Over one million in contributions have poured in thus far, surpassing the early lead his opponent briefly held.

Ben Smith at the Politico describes the wave of support Joe is experiencing this way:

Wilson’s success — despite having been criticized by Republican leaders — represents the power of the conservative grassroots to reward politicians who confront the White House in the sharpest terms.

As I have said repeatedly to fellow conservatives who are frequently upset with what they see as lackluster leadership from GOP elected officials, go out and find solid conservatives you can support enthusiastically and put your money where your mouth is!

Visit Joe’s web site

if you want to join me and the throng of well wishers willing to pony up to help this conservative champion. Even if you only give a few dollars, you’ll be making a statement that cannot be ignored. At the site you’ll see the video where Joe explains that despite his apology to President Obama, he’s not backing down from defending our viewpoint.

Sent a check off to Joe for a hundred dollars yesterday, more to go to other conservatives who will work on slamming the door to hell…or Obama’s Socialist regime (one and the same).

I could not believe it when I heard Joe yell “You Lie”. I had already yelled it myself at the TV and it was if my voice went through the TV and into the halls of Congress! This man spoke for ALL of us! We have all yelled at our TVs with much worse invective than polite Joe. My wife has gotten paranoid about watching any political show with me because of my yelling. I sent Joe a donation and I urge all of you to do the same. Even $5 makes a statement and tells Joe that he did the right thing. If he had not spoken out there would have been no discussion of this issue.

I also sent in a contribution. It seems Joe is the only one with the guts to publicly state what we all feel. You go Joe! I think he should run for President and have Sarah as VP. I’m sure she can still knock the socks off those libs. She sure caused their panties to get in a twist.

Pelosi is demanding that Joe Wilson apologize on the floor of the House. I think he should… RIGHT AFTER SHE APOLOGIZES FOR LYING ABOUT THE CIA!!!

I was at the march yesterday and there were signs all over supporting Joe Wilson! Ain’t America Great!!!!

@Madalyn: I’d like to keep Joe as my Congressman. Why not run Sarah in the top spot and find someone else for V.P.?

Congressman Wilson said this am, that he is done apologizing! Good for him…from conversations with others, I believe more campaign donations will be forthcoming — especially after drawing the line in the sand — what a backbone!

Unfortunately, Joe Wilson already apologized to the White House for violating the protocol of speaking up during Barry’s rhetoric. Why didn’t the left congressional members apologize for breaching protocol during George Bush’s Presidential addresses?

What is the difference in spontaneous cheering, clapping, or standing ovations that go on? We should go either back to the former protocol of — NO clapping, commenting, cheering during an address — only after OR just open it up (I would prefer the later…or a QA with Congress posing questions to the President)

The American People are due an APOLOGY NOW from Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Minions —
1) calling us liars, nazis, terrorists, the mob
2) lying about our troops and the CIA
We can enforce this by voting them out of office,

2010 and 2012 can’t get here fast enough!

Mike’s America – Good point, but I don’t think she is quite up to the top spot yet. I think Joe would be a refreshing candidate for the top spot, but I can understand why you would want to keep him.
Also, I am wondering if we shouldn’t keep under wraps how much Joe has raised, and not give the Dems and Libs a benchmark on how much to raise for their brainless munchkin. (Just a thought).
All of you keep up the good work. Love reading all of your comments, especially the ones where thought, research, common sense, and honesty come into it. Not so much to lefties who want nothing more than to shut us up.

Madalyn,
Do you mind my asking your opinion on Sarah Palin and why you think she would not be as qualified for President as Congressman Wilson? I think he’s a great guy, but agree with Mike that it sounds like he can do alot of great things in his current position. Just curious of your thoughts on this. I ask, because I’ve heard some folks I talk to say something similar, but are usually kind of vague in explaining why they think that way. Thanks.

Madalyn… why do you think that Sarah is less qualified than BO??? He’s never even run a lemonade stand, never balanced a budget and there are grave doubts that he is FOR the American People. I’d be willing to bet my shrinking 101K that if Sarah were in the White House, we wouldn’t be over $9trillion (and counting) in debt! AND she’ wouldn’t be peeing on our allies and kissing up to our enemies… GO FIGURE!

@Madalyn: All these stats on how much has been contributed will become public knowledge soon enough. I guess Joe just wants us all to know how much he appreciates our efforts and encourage us to do more.

Along those lines, he’s posted a new video addressing the topic of a further apology to the House:

To put it bluntly, as to the question of whether he will apologize to Nancy Pelosi and House Dems, Joe says HELL NO!

P.S. Not to veer off topic, but I think Sarah is a good candidate for President, but it may be wise to wait until 2016. She’s young, she’s got plenty of time. In a few years, after she’s shown us all more of the stuff we admire, all the old jokes about here will be seen for what they are: more lies from liberals. She could very well be our first female president. I hope she beats Hillary to it!

SoCal Chris, FedUp, and Mike’s America. I think Ms. Palin would make a great president, but not in the near future. I definitely think she is much better qualified than our current dissident criminal in power, but at this time, I don’t think the country is ready for a “Glamour Girl” to run the country. Bias unfortunately still exists. If she waits a few more years to get more entrenched into the national political scene, I think the nation will realize she is not just a pretty face, but a dedicated person who is looking out for everyone, not just a few organizations and people who can do for her and her alone. Personally, I consider Hillary to be more of a “male” candidate, and this is not a slam against her. She just has never presented herself as feminine or a lady, and of course Sarah is feminine and ladylike plus plus plus.
I would love to see Sarah in the White House, with an equally powerful male as her VP. She just needs to shed some of the images that were portrayed of her as McCains running mate. This is DEFINITELY nothing against Sarah. She just had people around her who did not have her best interests in mind.

Thank you, Madalyn, I appreciate your candor and honesty. I agree with much of what you said, as well as Mike, in possibly waiting for a time to pursuing the Presidency. Having said that, though, I have to say that, if I’ve learned anything in politics, I’ve learned that SO MUCH can happen in a short period of time. It’s similar to what the scriptures say: a day is as a thousand years!! ;)

But, I do take issue with one thing mentioned…[I don’t think the country is ready for a “Glamour Girl” to run the country.] I think I understand your sentiment, but truly, I don’t think anyone who loves Sarah loves her because of her looks. Yes, that helps, but she is who she is. She is a very healthy-conscious person. Jogs every day, it sounds like. God has blessed her with, not just an external beauty, but an internal beauty of spirit of sincerity and integrity. I think it is this quality that is so great about her. She is who she is, with no apologies. Remember, it’s the media, which is out of her control, who has tried to portray her as a glamour girl, or worse. Anyway, I’m probably preaching to the choir, but I just had an issue with that one statement.

SoCal Chris – I hope you understand I did not mean anything negative against Ms. Palin when I refered to her as a “Glamour Girl”. It was actually a very heartfelt compliment. The MSM and some of the average citizens still look upon a woman who has looks and a good figure as someone not to be taken seriously. I personally take her very seriously. She has impressed the hell out of me. Yes, she has good looks, a great figure, and BRAINS to boot. Yes, she will be a great politician, and even a great president when the time is right for her. I just think she needs to wait until some of the negativity of her VP run to die down before proceeding. I would love to see her in the WH. What a great day for America that would be.
And, if you have an issue with anything I say, I will be more than happy to try and clarify it. That is what is so great about these posts. I really enjoy reading them and commenting on them.
OK enough. I hope I answered your questions.

Thanks, Madalyn, I understand now what you are saying. I appreciate your clarification, and yes, the media would have her portrayed as nothing but a nice looking woman. Of course, they are scared to death of her, so that’s their intention is to minimize her potential.

SoCal Chris – You said it better than I did. Sometimes I have a rational thought and by the time my fingers start moving, the thought gets moved sideways and doesn’t come out the way I wanted it to.
Anyway, I just recently moved from Ventura to New Mexico. I really miss it. Lived there for 42 years and going from beach to desert is a real shocker.
