Netanyahu’s ’secret visit to Moscow to stop Putin selling weapons to Iran’

Hey, remember that Russian cargo ship that disappeared for a few days, then re-appeared off the coast of Gibraltar after allegedly being attacked by pirates in the Baltic Sea? Yeah, well, some people claimed that it was carrying Russian air defense weapons to Iran, that the Israelis detected it, captured it, and did something with the weapons. Those kind of reports need to be taken with a grain of salt to say the least, but the tale is getting more interesting.

The ship was officially carrying timber from Finland to Algeria when it was boarded on July 24 by a group of eight men. They were charged with kidnapping and piracy after it was intercepted by Russian warships off Cape Verde

Ya know, if any of this story is true, it’s almost as if Israel doesn’t have faith in President Obama’s ability to stop the Iranian nuclear program with diplomacy. Why on Earth would anyone believe that?

Well, let’s see. First, Obie offered to meet the Iranian president without preconditions. Then, during the latest Iranian election cycle, he ignored the massive protests of the Iranian people — who do not want to sacrifice their loved ones in a nuclear blast so Ahmadinejad can try to simultaneously summon the Mahdi while wiping Israel off the earth. Obie bowed deeply to the Saudi king and accepted his thirty pieces of silver with admiration (a heavy gold necklace). He did not attend the World Day of Prayer (so much for unity and ecumenism), but he made a 5 minute homage to Islam to commemorate Ramadan. Obie made a state visit to Russia — where no one would shake his hand. Putin, who treated Obie with disdain (remember the pointed birthday wish to Bush), now says Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and Russia will not interfere with it. All Obie offers Israel is the shaft.
