Lockerbie Bomber Was Released For Oil

Posted by: Curt @ 5:51 pm in War On Terror  | 3 views

Imagine how the families of those 240 dead feel now?

The British government decided it was “in the overwhelming interests of the United Kingdom” to make Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, eligible for return to Libya, leaked ministerial letters reveal.

Gordon Brown’s government made the decision after discussions between Libya and BP over a multi-million-pound oil exploration deal had hit difficulties. These were resolved soon afterwards.

The letters were sent two years ago by Jack Straw, the justice secretary, to Kenny MacAskill, his counterpart in Scotland, who has been widely criticised for taking the formal decision to permit Megrahi’s release.

The correspondence makes it plain that the key decision to include Megrahi in a deal with Libya to allow prisoners to return home was, in fact, taken in London for British national interests.

Releasing this POS for oil…..wonderful.

That’s what happens when you run out of other people’s money. You sell murderers.

Curious if BO had any part in this. Just can imagine the Brits doing this without our sign off.

Lets hope that the discredited Brown & Salmond both get kicked out of office at the next UK and Scottish elections. These Scottish idiots are a disgrace.

We’ll see this “near death” terrorist looking suprisingly healthy well after three months.

Please #3 “What Makes Us Right” — tell me you meant “CAN’T” — instead of “can”

If this is true, then Ken Blackwell’s suspicions, who I mentioned in my Lockerbie segment of my trilogy about Obama’s impotence on the world stage, is right on the money.

Then there is that pesky stuff about a medical doctor not qualified to diagnose prostrate cancer… BarbaraS, see the above linked post I did. I have a link to the article about that sketchy doctor there.

Well. if this is true, it is what many of us thought right off the bat. I am sure the mullah in the White House knew about this and gave his approval,(wink wink). The 240 families have been thrown under the bus, off the cliff and now have THIS to live with on top of the loss of family and friends. The only compassion we need to show any terrorist is a qucik dispatch to ‘paradise’
and all that hell has for these low life scum bag Islamofacists.

Now we know where we can unload that Pennsylvania “Crescent/Circle of Embrace” memorial design. All the British government needs to do is add a little oil derrick in the middle of the mihrab and it’s theirs.

I guess stealing food from a store and killing the young clerk when he intervenes is now legal by default; for if your family is starving and you need food — it is for the greater good that you kill and steal.

If this report is true, Brown and the U.K. have fallen to a lower than low moral stance. Their trading their dignity for oil (money) is reprehensible and most unusual.

I stopped buying CITGO gas years ago and don’t patronize 7-11s that sell CITGO gas. British Petroleum is no better and is probably worse. Do not buy your gasoline from BP.

budvarakbar,

You are absolutely correct, typo on my part. I cannot believe the Brits would even consider this without US approval. The mere fact that we haven’t heard a word from the White House makes me wonder…

We *have* heard from the WH, “whatmakesusright”. Obama is on record saying that al-Megrahi should die in a Scottish jail.

This means one of two things. Either Obama’s lied to the public with a silent “nod” to the Brits… which makes him scum. Or he’s utterly irrelevant and impotent as a leader with our closest allies, who care nothing of what the leader of the free world thinks.

Neither scenario bodes well. it’s a lose-lose all the way.
