We need to keep speaking out and challenging the dimwits in DC as they try to destroy our freedoms and bankrupt the country: http://salesianity.blogspot.com/2009/07/oreilly-healthcare-craziness-and.html

i have been reading more and more and am getting more and more scared about this healthcare b.s. i read a few other things and was telling one of my clients about it and she is doing more research and going to help spread the word. she did ask why this hasn’t been on the news and i laughed and told her it’s because it makes obama look as stupid as he really is and exposes his real intentions.

Neither Bob Casey nor Benedict Specter care what we say. I get disinterested staffers when I call and form letters when I write. Time for them to go!

I also include a blurb about whatever health care sh$t they vote for, they must also subscribe to it.

@FedUp: Fedup: Contribute to the guy who runs against Specter!

The one keeps saying what the bill will do, what in and not in the bill, yet the one has never read the bill which he claims to know so much about. This much is clear, Barack Obama is no Hillary Clinton. At least Clinton knew what was was in her proposal.

Ha!

It actually looks like it’s shifting the other way Mike.

“The polls are shifting in PA, McCain’s going to win this”

“They’re not even [within] 100 miles [of Baghdad]. They are not in any place. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion … they are trying to sell to the others an illusion.”

@Fit fit:

Sources to support your claim please. (I can hardly wait for this.)

How appropriate you should choose to quote Baghdad Bob, since you are his protege.

I email my Congressman (Connolly VA 11th district-Dem) and my Senators, such as they are, Webb & Warner all the time. Did so yesterday and will do so again tonight. Anyway I digress…

You can go to Thomas.gov website of the Library of Congress. If you know your Senator and Congressman’s name go to the upper right hand corner of the site and search by name for the House and by State for the Senate.

If you are jumping into the frey for the first time and don’t know you congressman’s name go to the left side select House of Represntatives and follow the directions to find your rep.

They all have websites which gives you contact information including links to send them emails. The point is this, an Election is just down the road. If Enough of Us Email, Fax and/or Call THEY WILL LISTEN. They may not like what they hear, but they will listen.

During the Immigration Bill debacle We crashed their email servers and tied up their phone lines; they FREAKED, WE STOPPED that bill. We Can Do It AGAIN.

Do Not Give Up. Do Not Stop. Send an Email and/or Make a Call EVERYDAY.

P.S.
bookmark their website, makes it easier to get to

At your suggestion I e-mailed my two senators and represenative about the obamanation healthcare bill and heard back from all three today. Unfortunately they are all republicans and will oppose the bill so I didn’t cause any discomfort to a liberal leaner. I only hope that more of your readers will e-mail their congos and at least put some pressure on them. They might not respond but they will get the message.

Food for thought. . . People ARE standing up. more and more, against Obama Care with Facts and Solutions. . .

Tonight I attended an event in Raleigh NC that kicked-off of a planned 1000 mile NC state-wide trip to communicate —
–The potential impact of the current ObamaCare proposal
–Alternate Solutions for realistic healthcare reform
–Introduced a petition being circulated at http://www.joinPatientsFirst.com
….that will be sent to our “friends” in Washington.

More people showed up than planned and had to accommodate seating as best as possible…

I was among the few hundred who heard Mayor Pat McCrory (NC), Mayor Steve Lonegan, (NJ), Dr CL Gray, among others. All three named speakers relayed there personal experiences, struggles with respect to healthcare — as well as offered some reform ideas/solutions.

For those interested, here is a link to Dr Gray’s website:
http://www.physiciansforreform.org

Dr Gray used the contents of his website to illustrate his presentation. I wanted to pass it on as his points are very succinct and insightful. He also offered an historical perspective on patient care philosophy starting with Plato’s view of the state first/patient second. Evolving to Hippocrates–the Patient First….period…. and now a segment of our world’s society seems to have tangibly embraced Plato’s view. This may sound very dull and dry — but Plato’s words sound like he is speaking from the left side of the Congressional aisle. (The brief historical prospective is in a Powerpoint slide format on his site –Physiciansforreform.org)…..I urge you to review.

This NC 1000 mile “get the word out” effort is a combined venture of

http://www.AmericansforProsperity.org

http://www.physiciansforreform.org

Finally, the speakers also mentioned that any healthcare reform that was presented by Republicans in Congress over the past decade — has been voted down — including “NO” votes by a new Senator in 2004 named Barack Obama (when he bothered to show up). (Jim DeMint also echoed this statement tonight on Greta Van Susteren’s Fox Program)

@Inspectorudy….your communications to legislatures with whom you are aligned are also important — gives them a sense that at least a percentage of their constituency is approving of their vote intention.

One of my state’s US Senators asks us to send him both yeas and nays for this reason….the other one is busy shining Harry Reid’s shoes every day and seems to have gone deaf to the voters at home — we have nicknamed her Senator One-Term!

Sorry, forgot to add great post! Can’t wait to see your next post!

I have written to my senator:

Dear Senator Schumer,

In reading thru the healthcare plan that President Obama is proposing for the American people, I am appalled at certain aspects of the plan. Sadly, the media is doing a very poor job of informing the public of this plan and I have to seek alternate news sites to even read some of the current plan being offered. The poltiicians in Washington are doing an even worse job that the media in offering information to the people so that they can make an informed choice.

I, along wiht many people, realize that there are problems with the current health care issues in this country, but these problems are not insurmountable, and they are certainly not problematic enough to scrape the whole system and change it to a different plan altogether. Sadly, when any one in the government tells me that something is going to save me money in the long run, I know that it is a lie. There is not one government plan that has ever come under budget or saved any American citizen money. When government officials lie to my face like this, I just want to vote them out.

I want control of my life, I do not want the government to control any aspect of my personal life.

I know that you do not agree with me, but I would like you to investigate this plan, I would like you to inform your constituants of the truth of this plan, and I want you to be honest about the financial impact its going to have on us in this state and in the country.

There are many alternate ideas out there from very smart people who can address the current problems with our healthcare that will not backrupt the system, the country and the people.

As a born and bred NY’er, I feel like I am spitting into the wind. Its fustrating and as an independent voter, it makes me stop and think about the people who are being sent to Washington to represent me.

I hope to hear the truth from our NY politicians.

Sincerely,

I don’t know what impact it has.. but I got my say…

see ya
cathy 🙂

Tap Tap Tap…

Anyone seen Baghdad Bob Fit fit?

He made this laughable claim:

Ha!

It actually looks like it’s shifting the other way Mike.

In the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, I sure would love for him to wander back ’round to these parts to support that claim.

If he decides to make the attempt, hilarity will likely ensue. I, personally, am looking forward to it.

Tap Tap Tap…

Come on Fit fit….be a sport.

Let us laugh out loud at you. Again.

@An American Voter:

Good job guys and thanks to all who have emailed, called or written to their congressman or attended local events to highlight this issue.

We sometimes wonder if the efforts of just one person can make a difference, but in this case we can clearly see that when millions of individuals get together and express themselves that the political class does listen and respond.

A desperate Pelosi just drug out two cancer survivors with heart wrenchers and a brand new misleading bumper sticker slogan….”cap on your costs….no cap on your benefits.” She slowly repeated it twice. Must be for the Obamabots that aren’t capable of reciting the talking points handed out by left-wing blogs Obama conferences with.

Obama felt the need to respond to the Waterloo comment, he also said this isn’t about him…But:

“Let’s just lay everything on the table,” Grassley said. “A Democrat congressman last week told me after a conversation with the president that the president had trouble in the House of Representatives, and it wasn’t going to pass if there weren’t some changes made … and the president says, ‘You’re going to destroy my presidency.’ “

The White House did not respond to requests for comment.

Grassley did not name the member but said he was not from the senator’s home state of Iowa. He brought up the anecdote in response to a question about whether the president’s rebuke of the Waterloo remark Monday was affecting Finance Committee negotiations on a bipartisan overhaul bill. Grassley said the imbroglio was not taking a toll on the bipartisan effort.

http://www.nationaljournal.com/congressdaily/hca_20090722_6620.php

It’s working, they’re getting desperate and running scared, keep it up!

@Missy: Obama says ” ‘You’re going to destroy my presidency.’ “ while insisting that the health care debacle is not about him.

Who does he think he is fooling?

@Mike’s America:

Fewer and fewer at the end of each day.

Orrin Hatch just walked away from the negotiating table, wonder if Grassley stays, you can hardly keep up with all that’s going on.

@Missy: Watch for Dems to pass some watered down version of the bill and claim victory. Our side should have nothing to do with a sham bill.
