Carnahan got caught taking liberties with information in front of His Employers, members of his Constituency, Voters, Taxpayers and not his merry band of blind supporters. I will say this, it was not staged by invitation only fellow travelers. I do hope he was there to speak and LISTEN.
The CBO figures he stated were basically half truths and I doubt that he knows the true cost, has read the full text of bill or realizes the limitations on Care in that bill.

I run a business for a profit, pay my taxes on time and am not intimidated by political whores, propagandists, delusional Socialists or other crooks.

I refuse to run for Political Office because I will not choose to soil myself with association with Career Politicians of negotiable values or those that make a living with their hands in the Public cookie jar.

That’s so funny: “…the richest 1.2%..”. Presumably, after those taxpayers leave the country, it’ll be the next-richest 1.2%. Ultimately, it’ll end up being anyone who makes less $30k a year. Ha ha ha.
Laughable. Costs will decline with the increase in the numbers in the pool of covered Americans? That may be true if all these newly covered Americans were actually contributing to the pool…but we all know that won’t be true, and in fact will be quite the opposite. I’m just disgusted with all politicians, on both sides of the aisle.

@ahem: Great point.. anyone remember one of the big reasons the Beatles (the band) moved to America? The republican point is to encourage wealth. The democrat point is to distribute from the wealthy, until hopefully everyone sits at an equilibrium. The problem with that (as ahem said), once the wealthy leave / or taxed into oblivion, then it becomes the next wealthiest and the next…. until everyone is dependent on the government. Essentially punishing everyone that makes a lot.. of course except for the government officials (like china and russia). Stary-eyed idealists that do as I say and not as I do.
@Pat: You’re going to have to get over your disgust with “both sides of the aisle.” That’s an attitude that only serves to enable Democrats to continue pulling their shenanigans.

Surely there are some sound conservatives in elected office that you can support. Wouldn’t now be a good time to make a contribution to one of their campaigns as they get ready for 2010?
Or, how about contributing to one of the many advocacy groups out there? I’ve just been touting Let Freedom Ring’s excellent video on Health Care. Maybe you could donate to their effort.
