Great post, Mike! Political differences aside, we stand together in this sentiment of pride and gratitude for this great country. Even if things aren’t always perfect, our system affords us the means to be able to work it out. That’s a lot more than many places on this Earth can claim. I’m proud to be an American! And thanks for the great music.

Happy Independence Day to all!!
I think this year will be more significant to me than most years, and am feeling more hopeful lately of Americans waking up and realizing that our country is great because it was founded on freedom. That’s why it’s called “Independence Day” and not Dependence Day, as in dependence on government!
Today at the baseball stadium was wonderful! The weather was perfect, with a moving tribute to Lou Gehrig. Then they brought out wounded military veterans to stand at home plate, and the entire crowd cheered wildly. The very next play was Johnny Damon, who greatly supports the Wounded Warrior Project, hitting a home run! And the NY Yankees finally beat Toronto in the 12th inning! Perfect way to spend America’s birthday! Now, I’m going up to my roof to enjoy some Sam Adams and watch the fireworks!
OH, YOU’RE GONNA LOVE THIS!
