He talked for 45 minutes during ABC’s “Health Care” infomercial!

It’s clear to anyone who has ever dozed through an Obama speech that the man likes the sound of his own voice. He’s known for rambling, long winded speechifying even in press conferences.

ABC’s all Obama all day long extravaganza Wednesday was no different. Obama answered one question from the handpicked crew of supporters attending the Town Hall style event on health care with a vague monologue that went on for four minutes and thirty three seconds. No doubt leaving many viewers scrambling for the remote or praying for a commercial break.

It’s also noteworthy that nowhere in what was billed as a “dialogue” on health care did Obama face any Republican critics. Even critical advertising was banned.

Obama possesses the rare gift of being able to say so much and so little all at the same time. The only question is: when will voters decide they’ve heard too much?

I heard too much since Nov. 5th and I am thoroughly sick of him. I do not even watch the news because of the worship of this madman and his wife….I have had more than enough. 2012 cannot come fast enough!!!

Short and concise…you hit the nail on the head.

He’s officially a BIG BORE.

Eventually he will be the only one (other than mind numbed Obamots) who is going to listen to himself.

I tuned him out months ago.

Oh darn, I missed it! ;)

I guess Mark Sanford stole the media show for the day from Obama’s infomercial, so another good reason for Gov. Sanford’s confession yesterday.

Is it just me – he just does not look Presidential. Colin Powell at least looks confident and Presidential. I always see a Sammy Davis Jr.-like person in him, especially when he exits down a flight of stairs from AF-1. He looks like he needs to find the bathroom or an ice-cream/waffle shop.

Obama only listens to those that share his Agenda. His media town hall events are cleverly staged.
There is absolutely nothing Bi Partisan about his approach to any issue whether it is his failed Stimulus Package or his Failing Foreign Policy attempts. The one thing that is very clear is the power grab with little concern for the best interests of the Nation.

His mouthpiece, Baghdad Bob Gibbs, offers clarification on his comments and obfuscation and non answer answers are getting very tiresome for me. The Pretender in Chief is clever but lacking in experience at anything besides campaigning. He is very transparent to me. I have seen his act before in Third World countries over the years. Ignore his rhetoric. He assumes responsibility for nothing and so far has exercised Zero Leadership unless it benefits his pet causes or the Agenda.

His November 08 53% “mandate” entitled him to meddle in everything that he knows nothing about.
He listens to those that wish to destroy America. He is a poll driven windsock and unfit for office.
In the Senate he authored no Legislation. The Harvard Law Review has no publications that bear his name. Transcripts for any Education are carefully locked down. He never held a job in his life.
He sat in a church for 20 years but never heard the racist rants of his Pastor. He is a talker and obviously not a listener. If anyone can list his achievements that have benefited anyone besides himself or his supporters, I’m willing to listen but so far he comes off as a Phony to me. Daily KOS talking points or shameless lies don’t qualify.

When you own the media, it isn’t necessary to be brilliant. It’s only important that an anchor SAYS you are!

@Old Trooper:
But, Old Trooper, do you like his personality, since that seems to be the focus of the polls, don’t ya know! Oh brother…

Personally, I don’t like his personality either, so that argument doesn’t work for me one iota.

Apparently the ratings show, more than any poll ever could, what the Country thinks about his health care “plan” and about Barry himself. Only a true believer could sit through this substanceless photo op, courtesy of the State News Service.

Little by little the Congressmen and senators are getting the clue. They are in desperate trouble in 2010 and out years. If I were a senator I would weigh the odds of being in my seat for an innumerable amount of years versus supporting an unpopular pretender for two years. My bet would be on that seat until I was old, older, and oldest.

Being a narcissist, he has to have continually adulation from the public. Hopefully the media will lose their love for him, but then again they are staying in line because they hope he throws some money their way. I am wondering how his attitude will be (get worse than it is), when he finds out the people are sick and tired of his face.

Our only hope, and this is a long shot, but the myriad of cases in various stages of the court system that he will have to prove he is who he says he is. – and that he will be sent packing. This is the reason I believe he is doing what he can as fast as he can – before the jig is up.

@SoCal Chris: The jig may be up in his poll numbers as more and more people who voted for him start to say: “This isn’t what I voted for. The Repubs were right. Obama is a scary socialist who will destroy the country.”

SoCal Chris, thus far he has exhibited the same character traits as a traveling snake oil dealer.
Eventually folks realize that his product offers no remedies at too high a cost and run him out of town. Thats just how it works in my neck of the woods.

Scott, thanks for sharing the Youtube. I remember the plagerism issue regarding Duval Patrick’s speech. Didn’t know about his lifting other phrases from the other characters, chilling.

Appears not many were listening to Obama either, I think we are beginning to see results of Obama overload.

The one-hour ABC News special “Primetime: Questions for the President: Prescription for America” (4.7 million viewers, 1.1 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) had the fewest viewers in the 10 p.m. hour (against NBC’s “The Philanthropist” debut and a repeat of “CSI: NY” on CBS). The special tied some 8 p.m. comedy repeats as the lowest-rated program on a major broadcast network.
