Sean, put down the crack pipe. How about you give us proof obama is well liked? Being trusted is not the same as liked. The polls seem to indicate he isn't trusted. The fact you think that tells us you are the one in fantasy land.

Hey guys,
Obama's approval ratings are still quite high. He's is both well liked and well respected nationally and internationally. Most Americans do not think that the country is turning into some kind of socialist nightmare. The comments on this site are nothing more than mental masturbation for conservatives. You guys live in a fantasy world where the President is running around terrified of the big bad tough guys at Fox. Give me a break. Fox News Channel is the tabloid of television.

The Bush presidency was not a media blitz presidency, he did not use the Oval Office and all the trappings to promote himself like Clinton did and Obama is doing now, didn't shove his face out there on a daily basis, didn't seek the adulation the other two seem to crave. He definately was not over exposed like Obama is rapidly becoming.

Bush treated the press respectfully, unlike what Obama is now doing with FOX and all who watch it, the press did not reciprocrate, btw. It's a sick little game with Obama, he's trying to diminish the channel and viewers because he mistakenly thinks they are all right wing. Interesting to see the FOX ratings going up as Obama's ratings are slipping.

Speaking of facts, it is a fact that FOX news hosts complained that Bush interviews were going to other networks, that he wasn't out selling the war and his other policies, that he would reach a more diverse audience by coming on FOX. Any other FOX watcher remember that? In comparison to the other two presidents, what few interviews the Bush administration gave were more fairly spread around.

Obama is using MSM to promote himself, he is out on almost a daily basis, still campaigning and they are letting him get away with it. His stance on FOX is childish, no other way to explain it. Even Hillary interviewed with several FOX hosts, Greta, Colmes, O'Reilly but, the manchild chooses to be devisive, remember Obama denouncing "devisive" during his campaign for the presidency? Now he flip flops on that one during his never ending campaign for Obama.

@Real American Patriot:

Yes, you asked a question about MSNBC, the tingly leg network.

The overall tone and tenor of your question was accusatory, indicating that you believe that Bush never gave an interview to that network.

Missy and I both answered your question for you.

In your post you also said that Bush and Cheney "almost always" gave their interviews to FOX.

Here are your words for easy reference:

I have a question for you WHY did Bush and Cheney almost always give their exclusive interviews to FOX?

It is your contention that they "almost always" gave their interviews to FOX.

I want the data that you used to make that statement. Where are the facts? Where are your sources? I'm not going to do your research for you in order to prove or disprove your point. That is your responsibility.

You claim to be all about facts. (Snicker)

You made the statement. Now, support it.

It should be easily proven....if true.

Your move.

@Real American Patriot:

I googled the MSM anchors that came to mind. Found that Bush had interviews with the following, some had multiple interviews:

George Stephanopoulos
Matt Lauer
Diane Sawyer
Charles Gibson
Larry King
Brian Williams
Katie Couric
Peter Jennings
Tim Russert

And, Obama had a cream puff interview with O'Reilly on FOX. Whoop-de-do!

Mike:

Did I ever say Cheney had not appeared on CNN??? Nearly as often?? (where are the RAW numbers as AYE would say) Did I even indicate CNN in this?? NOPE not once. Are you saying they are slanted LEFT?? If so speak up!!! WE know it's all BS coming from you anyway.

AYE:

Just in case you missed it... I asked a QUESTION if BUSH ever gave an interview with MSNBC.
It was not a statement.. However, both Bush and Cheney often used FOX for their interviews.
Why?? Because they both know FOX is nothing more than a right wing mouth piece.

End of story.

@Aye Chihuahua: Bush and Cheney gave plenty of interviews to the other networks. And lately, Cheney has appeared on CNN nearly as often as he has on Fox News.

Neither Bush, nor Cheney hid from the networks that were openly biased against them. It really says something about Obama that he can't stand to be questioned by Fox PERIOD!

CRAP should be embarrassed that his man is such a wimp. But then... birds of a feather flock together!

@Real American Patriot:

The examples you posted are laughable. Is that the best you could do?

Yes, I watched them all. No, they don't prove your point.

Of course, I didn't expect anything different from you.

Thanks for not disappointing me.

PS: Yes, President Bush was interviewed by MSNBC. At least twice in fact.

Here and here.

What was your point again?

I have a question for you WHY did Bush and Cheney almost always give their exclusive interviews to FOX?

"Almost always"??

Almost....Always....he says.

Hmmmmm... well, I have already found and posted two examples of other networks doing interviews with President Bush, so your premise is on rocky ground already.

So, prove the remainder of "almost always" for us.

Give us the data, the raw numbers.

I look forward to seeing your non-response.

One final note. You never did comment on Obama's record of broken promises that I posted about here and here and here.

Nor have you commented on Obie's violation of his own IG law which Scott and Curt posted on here and here.

I guess those topics are above your pay grade, eh?

@Real American Patriot: Citing videos by some Media Matters wanna be? What a laugh.

And as for "I could go on and on… it’s almost endless" I thought you were talking about MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS and CNBC?

Fox News gives much more air time to liberal voices on their shows than any of the above do to conservatives.

It's a fact. Get over it.

I could go on and on... it's almost endless

BTW This string is supposedly saying Obama is afraid of Fox so called news. I have a question for you WHY did Bush and Cheney almost always give their exclusive interviews to FOX? Could it be they because they realize Fox is a right wing news outlet? Did they ever give even one to MSNBC?

@Coco Joe

I concur with your assessment: RAP will be slavishly watching ABC with thrills running up his leg.

Obama seems more like a television evangelist every day. I wonder what history will call this new religion:

Obamanites
Yeswecanists
Won-nies
Demogelicals
Church of the Wholly Won
Geek Unorthadox

You all should read this: http://ray-dox.blogspot.com/2006/06/this-is-expanded-version-of-article.html (Modern Leftism as Recycled Fascism)

It is a very interesting examination of Fascism. A few things that caught my eye:

Mussolini's own summary of the Fascist philosophy: "Tutto nello Stato, niente al di fuori dello Stato, nulla contro lo Stato" (Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State)

"Mussolini ha sempre ragione ("Mussolini is always right")." (Gee, who else is seen that way by the MSM?)

"He (Mussolini) was coming to the belief which was soon to dominate his life -- that the existing order must be overthrown by an elite of revolutionaries acting in the name of the people".

"There Mussolini was still following a distinctly radical line... He even welcomed the occupation of the factories" (Sound Familiar? GM for example?)

"Mussolini in March 1936 told the council of corporations that he did not wish to bureaucratize the entire economy of the nation but in practice the extension of government activities everywhere brought with it a top-heavy organization, slow and unresponsive, and quite out of touch with ordinary people".

The major difference in policies is the obsession with "Globalism" within both major' party leaders in Washington DC, over the Nationalism of Fascist Italy and German.
