Unbelievable!

[T]he Obama Justice Department has quietly ordered FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high value detainees captured and held at U.S. detention facilities in Afghanistan, according a senior Republican on the House Intelligence Committee. “The administration has decided to change the focus to law enforcement. Here’s the problem. You have foreign fighters who are targeting US troops today – foreign fighters who go to another country to kill Americans. We capture them…and they’re reading them their rights – Mirandizing these foreign fighters,” says Representative Mike Rogers, who recently met with military, intelligence and law enforcement officials on a fact-finding trip to Afghanistan.

Rogers, a former FBI special agent and U.S. Army officer, says the Obama administration has not briefed Congress on the new policy…

Yup, lets return the days of treating terrorism as a crime rather then as a act of war. It worked out so well during the 90’s didn’t it?

Best way for our soldiers to win this thing? Kill the enemy instead of EVER capturing them. You capture them they may very well end up with a taxpayer funded vacation to a tropical paradise.

UPDATE

Here is Obama on the campaign trail mocking Sarah Palin’s suggestion that Obama would want terrorists mirandized:

Yeah, its just a smug smirk but a few months later he said:

“Now, do these folks deserve miranda rights? Do they deserve to be treated like a shoplifter down the block? Of course not.”

Every Obie promise comes with an expiration date.

Some longer.

Some shorter.

That dear woman at the opening of the video exclaiming “I want my freedom back” must be having buyer’s remorse.

Nope, We are stuck with Obama for another month or two. Unless America wants to be subject to
destruction.

Greetings:

Once again, the POW calculus:

1) You don’t ever want to fight anyone twice;

2) Some POWs may have useful information;

3) Capture, relocation and detention of POWs requires the
use of scarce resources.

If I catch them, I’ll do the math.

Open season on terrorists. TAke no prisoners – simplifies everything!

Sad, but no military experience and a large ego is a terrible combination in a “leader”. This makes sense only to the bleeding hearts who never went through any war or hard times. They will learn soon enough if dear leader doesn’t get some smarts and soon! What a legacy he’s leaving for his daughters!~

Didn’t someone warn us that Obie would do this?

Why yes, she did as a matter of fact:

Victory in Iraq is finally in sight; he wants to forfeit. Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay; he wants to meet them without preconditions. Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America, and he’s worried that someone won’t read them their rights.

How prescient.

This is the answer to closing Gitmo. If we’re at war, why do we need lawyers? If we are not at war, are we just going around kidnapping people? If we are not at war, why do we have soldiers on foreign soil killing people? Is there something wrong with this picture?

So, if they forget to mirandize the TERRORISTS ARE off scott free? Yup! And, what about a jury of your peers? That’s right. We’ll have to import them from Afghanastan! Well, that’s only “FAIR”!!!

How dare they: Affording the rights of our U.S. constitution to enemy combatants, especially on foreign soil? A U.S. citizen visiting a foreign country doesn’t enjoy those rights. Yet another outrageous obamanation: In a long train of abuses and usurpations: (evincing a design to reduce us under absolute despotism?)

I smell economic stimulus for his ACLU / ACORN pals.
As, our tax dollars will be used to pay for the enemie’s counsel, if they are unable to afford it. Never before in the history of this, or any other country, has such stupidity been executed.

This is a slap in the face to the families who have lost loved ones in the World Trade Center Attack or the War on Terror. “Change we can believe in ?’ And, our cons in congress sit idly by….

As a member of the military I just cannot fathom having to read some one Miranda rights after and IED attack or a firefight. Its just stupid to think that will everything else going on in a combat zone that we are going to take the time to pull out this little card and begin to read off their littany of rights. Also in what language are we suppose to read them their rights? Those guys come from all over the middle east and not all of them speak arabic, so does this mean I am going to have to carry a card in Pashtun, a card in Farsi, and an Arabic card?

Now they are going to ship these Terrorists to third world countries that have neither the infastructure or the facilities to house and keep them locked up. Does this not remind everyone of the deal the DEA worked out with Mexico to house Pablo Escobar. After a few months he was basically coming and going as he pleased. How long before one of the prisons realizes that they misplaced or allowed the Terrorist to escape?
