I often wrote about and spoke about the things he did wrong. IRAQ being the main one.
But I never used HATE words towards our country in general.

Level the playing field how? My Teamsters can strike and shut down UPS but your union can’t shut down FedEx?

As for Unions being the best thing evah! They served their purpose back in the day. Now, they are nothing more than a political machine. They serve no purpose other than their own self preservation. They impede production, they impede progress, they impede creativity.

I will pick on point 4… unions… They are the best thing that every happened to middle class America.. if you deny that you are not looking at history at all.

The Congressman you spew about is from my state. I happen to like exactly what he was elected to do. Is he trying to kill FedEx?? No.. that’s more right wing BS. Is he trying to level the playing field?? YES!

My list could be longer, but here are 4 items for ya:
1. Love abortion, hate capital punishment: I’ll be fair and say that I can actually understand that there are instances where late term abortion may be needed. When the life of the mother is threatened or a condition where the baby will be born into a life of certain painful death. I was reading a liberal blogger the other day discussing the Tiller murder. The best stats he could come up with indicated that late term abortions where the mother’s life was in danger or the baby was going to be born only to die a painful death were less than 1%. The remaining cases were: “didn’t know I was pregnant,” “didn’t know I could have an abortion,” “didn’t know I wasn’t ready.”
Liberals will fight to make sure a baby can die, but you’ll defend a murderer to the very end.
2. Environmental Policy: Liberals want to believe they are more enlightened than everyone else and they’ll lie to do it. Global warming is a scam and it gets proven as such more every day. Did the planet warm? Yes it did. Is the planet now cooling? Yes it is. Has this happened before? Yes it has, over and over again. But that won’t stop the left from doing all they can to enact every policy to cripple American industry. And then you whine when said industry moves their operations overseas. Why? I don’t know of anyone that wouldn’t be tickled pink at the prospect of cheap, clean energy. Don’t you think the people that actually understand energy are in the private market? They certainly are in congress or the White House.
3. Tax Policy: when you penalize the people that drive the economy, what becomes of the economy? Don’t give me the crap about the Clinton tax brackets either. The Obama policies have done more in the first 5 months to cripple our economy than anyone in the history of our country. No one wants to invest in anything right now. Why should they? There is absolutely no guarantee that any contract you enter into will be honored the next day. Ask the people that invested in Chrysler. Throwing all contract law under the bus in the guise of saving the company, the bonded investors were left out to dry. Who was rewarded? The Unions.
4. Unions: The Bush administration instituted transparency laws that would allow workers to see how the Unions were spending their money. An enormous amount of corruption was uncovered. The SEIU is on the verge of insolvency because of corruption. The Obama Administration has reversed or refused to investigate any of the Union transparency policies enacted by the Bush Administration. At this very moment, some idiot congressman in Minnesota, Rep. James L. Oberstar is trying to change the rules so the Teamsters at UPS can kill their competition FedEx.
Why? I agree that there were some serious shady dealings going on in Wall Street. I think the folks in congress, (both sides) had a lot to do with that. Why should there be transparency on Wall Street, but no in the Unions?

Even though many conservatives do not like Obama, I would venture to say that most if not all , hope he succeeds. Myself included. However, I saw [countless] bumper stickers when Bush was president that said ‘I didn’t vote for him. He’s not my president’. And ‘tell your president we want out of Iraq’ (how lazy). How many prime time shows, episodes, and videos were made to propagate false information (even though it would be convenient to believe), and to try and pigeonhole Bush into a caricature that everyone can point and laugh at? Or at the very least, create a sense of mistrust? Was this the effort of conservatives? Or Liberals?

Granted most presidents have something to laugh at, but there /is/ a line. Creating a cartoon called ‘Lil Bush’ and showing it during prime time comedy central viewing hours.. maybe out of line? I know a bunch of conservatives didn’t create it. I know the network is most likely not conservative enough to say no. Maybe our liberal friends found it provocative enough, acceptable enough; to encourage and promote these types of messages? This goes for just about every major network. Why did SNL all of a sudden open a slot on thursday nights during the election?

Message #1: Undermining our president/conservatives is not anti-patriotic.. its just funny. Funny is ok, because you laugh. Laughing is good. Good isn’t usually bad. Since its good, since its funny, something must be true or acceptable in what the show/person/skit is saying. Being anti-Bush is not only ok, it is trendy and cool. Its not conservatives saying this, so this is the message from liberals to conservatives.

After Obama was elected we all of a sudden we’re bombarded with, ‘ok, now is the time for everyone to unite’..WHAT? Before it was the liberals of the country practicing their free speech, speaking out against the outrages of the Bush administration: Heroes of a good cause and for justice… And now its, ‘ok, now is the time to line up and follow our president.’

Message #2: The little kids need to get out of the pool. Its time for adult swim. Liberals know the real issues and stand on the correct side of most of them. Its time for conservative america to emerge out from their caves, to witness the new dawn of all the enlightened. In fact, to even partake of this great event! In other words, a lot of people with superiority complexes (that made no effort to support our last president), telling america that it is now unacceptable to do anything but follow our new president. Wonder why they would feel the need to say that?

That is also partly why there is a mentality about the left thinking they know what is best for our country, while the rest of us knuckle-dragging conservatives struggle to put our shoes on the correct feet. Spokespeople for many liberals such as genine garofalo, make it a scientific case, that conservatives are actually less superior than our liberal counterparts due to differences in our brains. A popular liberal says that, they are applauded and championed; people shake their head in agreement. A popular conservative says that, they are forced to apologize, lose their job, and become the butt of most jokes for the months to come.

Message #3: Conservatives are stupid, Liberals are smart/enlightened. If smart/enlightened equals better decision making skills, there is no need for a two party system. Therefore all attempts should be made to have a one party system. Best way to do this? Propaganda, news, media, cartoons and the educational system. Are we not being thrust into, “from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.”? If that is the direction, than yes, I would agree many liberals would love to see the destruction of the U.S. and see it rebuilt as something else.

However I would say that this isn’t the complete case just yet. I think there are still many liberals out there that respect/want a two party system. Which party is most patriotic is not really the question right now… the question really is (in all my posturing):

Do you love the people on the other side of your opinion enough, to die for their right to believe it?

My opinion: I would say most on the right would agree with this, I would say most people on the left would say…

Would you care to point out which liberals you speak of and exactly what you are referring to when say “There are many libs who want this country destroyed.”

Obie has said over and over and over again that it is his desire to “remake” America.

He is systematically dismantling and destroying this country beginning with the banking system, the auto industry, and so forth.

Unfortunately, some are too blind to see what is going on.
