Former KGB Agent Explains the Brainwashing of America 1980’s (YouTube video)

“…a slow process which we call either ‘psychological subversion’ or ‘active measures’…or ‘psychological warfare’. What it basically meant was to change the perception of reality of *every* American to such an extent that despite of the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country. It’s a great brainwashing process…

It’s a slow process that takes 15 to 20 years to demoralize a nation… Why that many years? Because this is the minimum number of years it requires to educate one generation of students in the country of your enemy…

…Marxism-Leninism ideology is being being pumped into the soft heads heads of at least three generations of American students without being challenged or counterbalanced by the basic values of Americanism…

The result you can see…Most of the people who graduated in the sixties… the dropouts or half-baked intellectuals are now occupying positions of power in the government, civil service, business, the media, and education …and you’re stuck with them.

You cannot change them or get rid of them… They are programmed to react…You cannot change their minds even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black.

The process of demoralization is complete and irreversible”

@John Cooper: Thanks for that reminder John. I’ll embed the video and urge everyone to view it:

This is a fasinating blog post reprinted in Pravda. I followed the link Pravda had to this guys blog and there are other interesting posts on this and that, but this one is the most riveting.

I first read this the other day and am glad it is getting more widely disseminated. I think this guys opinion is spot on and it is troubling from where it comes.

Mike’s… thanks for posting the KGB . Makes me wonder … has the west and pointedly the US been underminded from within? and if so…. then what?

Yippie21: I think the answer will vary on who you ask. Regardless, I don’t think you will like the answer. Also, I am not so sure it was “undermined from within” – probably more like sold out.

I did read this a couple of days ago, as well as went thru Stanislav’s blog archive. No fan of the US is he. Nor does it appear he’s a fan of capitalism and free trade, as he believes it benefits the top percentile of Marxists or the wealthy while wearing on the “dear reader” little people.

It’s an odd dichotomy he has. Seems to detest socialism, but equally detests capitalism. Makes you wonder what he does support. And he’s often printed in Pravada.

But on his criticism of the US, his objections mostly seem to lie in being on the receiving end of US “lectures” because other than Russian’s debt ratio, there’s little to defend about his own country’s economic approach.
