Obama’s concerned about our image and world standing to a degree of wrongful appeasement. Rather than perpetuating the Guantanamo stereotype as a gulag where torture and abuse takes place, our leaders should make the case to the world why their negative perceptions of Guantanamo’s detention facilities are far off the reservation of reality. These detainees won’t get better humanitarian treatment and care anywhere else in the world, than at Club Gitmo.
