The Democrat Corruption Swamp Overflows

Loading

Well isn’t this special. Another drop of swamp water to add to the already full swamp:

The House ethics committee is reviewing whether the chamber’s rules were broken when Rep. Linda Sánchez (D-Calif.) put three of Rep. Loretta Sanchez’s (D-Calif.) aides on her own payroll in late 2006 because of a budget shortfall in her sister’s office.

How in the world could her office have a budget shortfall? Well, because her aide embezzled the money.

A former aide to Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Garden Grove, pleaded guilty today to using Sanchez’s House credit card to buy herself airline tickets and to forging Sanchez’s signature to get a $6,000 bonus, according to the Associated Press.

Arlington resident Caroline Valdez, 27, also admitted to using the credit card to get pizza and groceries, and to inflating the cost of taxicab fare she actually paid to get greater reimbursement.

Which isn’t Loretta Sanchez’s fault….but one lawmaker putting another lawmakers aides on their payroll is the fault of both lawmakers. The Pièce de résistance has to be this tho from Michelle Malkin:

A book written by both sisters and described on Amazon thus:

…this refreshing book evades many of the tropes of the typical political memoir—perhaps because these two women are not typical politicians. Having the courage of your convictions, writes Linda, that is tested a lot in the Congress…. I’m not paranoid about losing office, so there’s no need for me to compromise my values. The Sanchez sisters vividly demonstrate the power of hard work and steady determination in this inspiring portrait of an extraordinary family.

Yup, convictions and values…..
