CNN Activist Reporter Brings Her Pitchfork

Loading

ROESGEN: OK, well, Kiran, we’ll move on over here. I think you get the general tenor of this. Uh, it’s anti-government, anti-CNN, since this is highly promoted by the Right-wing conservative network, FOX. And since I can’t really hear much more, and I think this is not really family viewing, toss it back to you, Kiran.

Kyra Phillips: I know Susan Roesgen is having a hard time hearing me, but wow. That is the prime example of what we’re following across the country there. Susan pointed out everything plain and clear of what she’s dealing with.

Amidst criticism leveled at this “activist confronts activist” manner of interview, CNN defends its representative, Susan Roesgen:

“She was doing her job, and called it like she saw it.”

Move along, folks…nothing more to see here but media activism.

What we need to do is to follow the exchange that took place in Asia Minor at the beginning of the century. The Greeks living in Turkey had to move back to Greece and the Turks that lived in Greece went back to Turkey. We can create a national web site that will accomodate these type of exchanges. Say you are a Demorat that lives in Plano Texas. Why not relocate in a state where you will be with other liberals and socialists. I live in the liberal state of Florida and I want to be with my conservative, and now presumed “right wingers”, colleagues of the state of Texas. Let’s use a model like Harmony(the one that matches couples) and we can create an exchange that will split this country into two and let us live in peace. President Obama already predicted this split and that is why he quoted Lincoln on his speech on election night. So, let’s be pracmatic and both parties agreed on that and let’s move on. So, I don’t have to watch stupid CNN reporters, who has a job in the private sector, earning money in a private enterprise because of capitilism! This CNN reporter is a product of Capitalism and Christian upbringing. She is so out of it and represents the left, has no argument and gets angry and violent when they cannot come up with a logical argument. Her type are mentally sick and I don’t want to have anything to do with the likes of her. Yes, 56 million voted for this current type of government but remember 46 million did not. And to get ride of us is not going to be easy, we stand for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. What do you stand for CNN reporter?

Kiran Chetry has done a complete turn around since leaving FOX, didn’t even recognize her when I first viewed the video, she’s definately gone over to the dark side.

Also, isn’t it interesting that the youtube I viewed is titled:

CNN Reporter Harassed at Chicago “Tea-Party”

Your video title is more fitting, IMHO.

Now we get to the lies or, perhaps absence of any research into this movement, a movement ignored by CNN and most networks except FOX since it’s beginning. To make false statements in their attempt to link FOX with this, shabby! In doing this it looks as if they are rather desperately trying to discredit the protests they failed to follow with a buzz word. CNN and all that are selling this message are failing in their duty to accurately inform the public. Who’s surprised?

BTW, FOX didn’t trigger this, it was the Santelli rant on MSNBC or their business channel, can’t remember but, give credit where credit is due.

In the next 4 years when socialism takes over, CNN will reveal the true meaning of their name. It has been a long time in coming. Fortunately for everyone here, I got a news leak from them where they accidentally revealed it.
CNN:
Communist National News

The mother land is pleased.

I did read your link, sometimes my memory lasts a bit less than a nanosecond. Very good article.

Looks like they finally pried a comment out of Obama, he had no idea about the tea parties yesterday, probably more up to speed with what’s going on in Europe.

He’s putting us in two camps, Republicans that he couldn’t win over anyway and those going through dire times that he can help.

Doing what? Throwing more money at them, if that is his intention, he’s missing the whole point.

Pelosi thinks it was astro-turfing backed by those big money anti-tax cabals. First thing that came to my mind when she mentioned astro-turfing was David Axelrod and my, my, that’s how we got Obama, but now she thinks it’s a bad thing.

Did you see the off air smack down? Also, newsbusters has a 2006 video of her, dissing Bush.

nice post sara, I hadn’t seen that. Talk about rediculous.

I don’t know who that was in the studio but it didn’t look like Kiran Chetry to me

wow – now that was objective reporting – it was so completely obvious that she had her mind made up that I fail to see how she can even call herself a reporter.

and the guy with the fascist comment blew a grand opportunity – give a reason for cryin’ out loud!

The mainstream media wouldn’t do it. So we are trying to get your important messages to the American people. This post is a suggested read at, http://aresay.blogspot.com/ 5

@Shirley:

After putting my glasses on and watching it again, you are right, it wasn’t Kiran Chetry, thank goodness, she didn’t go over to the dark side!

It sounded like the Chicago reporter was calling her Kyra.

@ThomNJ:

Agree, made him look bad, at least he could have recited the definition, his Obama/Hitler poster didn’t help either. From what I’ve been reading, there were very few posters of that nature from sea to shining sea.

Maybe he was a plant, they were supposed to be around to do something and she just happened to find……him. I know they organized in the past posing as conservatives and posted racist remarks on certain blogs, they hit that Sarah Palin blog pretty hard, just thinkin.

Uri,

DON’T blame capitalism and Christianity for this “journalistic” piece of crap! Ms. Kiran Roesgen (KR) deliberately chose to call the protest “anti-government”, when in reality the protesters are against excessive government. NOBODY I know believes in anarchy, but most of them agree that government is too big, too inefficient, and too intrusive. What right-minded person would find fault with people for protesting what they see as exorbitant excesses? True capitalists recognize the benefit of good government practices, especially those that attempt to ensure fair competitive markets in which people *voluntarily* exchange goods, services, and currencies. And contrary to popular belief that free market capitalism depends on the notion of comparative advantage (when each party believes to have benefited from a transaction more than the other party), true free market capitalism is also achieved when each party believes a given transaction has been equitable to both parties.

Likewise, Christianity is founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and is particularly concerned with treating others with the respect for one another. Jesus’ overturning the tables of the “money changers” was a lesson to others not to take undue advantage of others.

Otherwise, I agree with most of the rest of your posting. I seriously doubt that most liberals would want to live in a socialist state if industry is allowed to choose between a capitalist state or an adjacent socialist state. I’d wager that most industry leaders would choose to operate in a capitalist society. I believe that most industrious people would choose to live in a nation in which their labors are rewarded, whereas most lazy people would fake disability and then choose to live in a nation whose motto is “from those according to their ability to those according to their need.”

Please don’t misinterpret my meaning. There are truly disabled individuals who are unable to function well enough to provide for themselves. Such people can seek help from voluntary, charitable institutions. Unfortunately, our society provides too much reward for sloth. THAT, my friend, is the great sin, and is neither condoned nor accepted by Capitalists or Christians. In theory, true Socialists demand each person to work to his/her ability, and is even possible in very small populations, where sloth cannot be concealed. In larger populations in the real world, there have always been a small group of individuals who manage to abuse even the fairest and most idyllic Utopias. If history is to be a predictor of the future, it seems to me that most industrious individuals will always prefer the higher risks and higher rewards of Capitalism over the lower risks and lower rewards of Socialism, whereas the least industrious will prefer the coddling environment of Socialism over the more demanding environment of Capitalism.

Which do YOU prefer?

Jeff V

What makes this harridan’s spin of the tea party motivations and intents even more ludicrous is the factual behavior and softball reporting of true anarchist/anti government protests recently at the G-20. The people turning over cars and breaking into office buildings to commit vandalism and mayhem are the leftists who are always described in the kindest possible terms. I worked “security” at the Dallas tea party, and truth be told, we were almost pointless. We kept an eye on a few kooks and gave directions. The crowd was energetic, excited, and probably the most civilized, polite demonstration that the Dallas police had ever overseen. I know because they told us so in no uncertain terms. Good grief, it took five minutes (Edit: to clarify, It took me personally, by myself, solo, five minutes.) to pick up the few signs, pizza boxes, and empty water bottles that were all that was left from 3-4,000 people. Contrast that with the devastation left behind at the national mall from the immaculate inauguration. I guess that nonviolence and a tendency not to litter are what makes a truly threatening extremist these days.

I have to nit pick the headline. It doesn’t look like this CNN reporter brought a pitchfork. More like the broom she flew in on.

Remember what Goebbels said, when you control the media you control the conscious of the people. A lie can become the truth when repeated enough and with the right enthusiasm.

But, but the TEA parties were only Astroturf according to Peeeloshi and Peeeloshi knows astroturf, she see’s a square yard of it every time she looks in a mirror. Oh, that’s not astroturf, thats her a** on her face. Now you know what the goattee is.

Pelosi is right. The upper half was represented at the “tea parties.” The half that pays income taxes.

I do resent the “Astroturf” characterization though. We are real. We have an investment in America, not in the political hacks that dole out welfare “investments.”

By the by. Hispanic groups are threatening to boycott the Census. GOOD!!!

I wonder how offensive Susan Roesgen thought it was when the left was calling President Bush a Nazi, Baby Killer, Fascist, etc. etc.

Vitamin J, she didn’t find it offensive at all. There’s a vid to that effect.

@Scrapiron,

I’ve been dying to bring up a certain interesting coincidence concerning Nancy Pelosi’s name and certain physical “features,” but figured I’d look like a real heel if I set the whole thing up. However, since you made the necessary reference:

“Now you know what the goattee is”

it’s no wonder to one of the nation’s largest immigrant communities that Nancy Pelosi should have any hint of a goatee, sideburns, or other “furry” outcroppings. Her last name (Pelosi) in Italian means “Hairy.”

Sometimes it comes in handy to know a couple of other languages.

Jeff V

Wow, Fox goes on and on about the Tea Parties for weeks to the point of almost sponsorship and Hannity rails about Ayers and Wright almost nighty (including last night) and you complain about CNN interviewing morons at one of the events who bought the lies?

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for reading my blog. Sorry if you misunderstood my comments. This is what I meant:
Even if she is Jewish, she has been raised in America where we have lived under a capitalist system with Judeo-Christian values(until recently). She should be grateful and thankful to be able to prosper in this country, to have a job and to earn a good living because of this system.

And then she turns around and acts like that on TV. She has the right to do that but it did not show well on her but maybe at CNN she got a raise. Still, she needs to understand that she is who she is because of the country where she has been raised and given these opportunities. She has a debt with this society and she is acting un-American!. Freedom is not for free.

Imagine if she grew up in Saudi Arabia. First, she wouldn’t be on TV unless she was covered; Her son, husband or father would have to drive her to work. Moreover, she wouldn’t be talking to this man since he is not her husband. Finally she would have never be who she is today.

Most Americans, hard working ones that love and respect people, would have never acted this way. What a shame to her parents! She could have been so much more than a liberal TV announcer for CNN.

PS: Her taxes are going to go up so much more than mine next year, specially with that new CNN pay raise she got yesterday(she will pay for it, let’s hope)

joe the joke says:

“…at one of the events who bought the lies?”

What lies?

@joe:

And the dolts at MSNBC and CNN have been giggling about teabagging all week, they aren’t even pretending to be professionals.

No wonder FOX womped them in the ratings last night.

Missy, knowing Curt’s attitude toward schizophrenic personalities…. aka sock puppets… I shall take the liberty of acting on his behalf in his absence, and issuing Curt’s famous “you’re outta here” buh-bye to liberal dud/orion/joe.

I think the teabaggers have got a point and the rallies is good local action at it’s best but it would be easier if they hadn’t focused on teabags – as it does having an amusing (or disgusting!) metaphor. Did they even have teabags back during the times of the Boston Tea party? I remember suggesting doing something based on the Trojans and using that title for a game until it was pointed out to me that Trojans mean something else in the States.

What a pathetic and ridiculous example of what is wrong with the MSN. She probably scoured the crowd looking for someone like that ass so that she could paint the picture to make it appear that the whole crowd of protesters was like that idiot. That’s not journalism, it’s “mind-think” propaganda.

It would not surprise me a bit if that was an ACORN plant. It’s just too damn convenient that that putz was near the camera.
