Mike,
Nice post. You hit one out of the park here. Obama is a fraud. He can’t seem to find qualified personnel to work in his admin. And he tools around the country, giving teleprompter speeches, filling out brackets and going on talk shows.
I haven’t been this ashamed to be an American since the 444 days of captivity of 52 Americans in Teheran. We are sliding rapidly in that direction.

The biggest outrage for me is the fact that Obama signed this and yet he pleads ignorance. Let me get this straight. We are in the most drastic of economic times since the Great Depression. We need to do something big and we have to do it now. The fate of our economy relies on the success of such an important stimulus. But you do not read it? You are kidding me. Any contract that I have ever signed has been thoroughly read before I will be binded into any agreement. Yet he did not know this was in there? Give me a break. What happened in those days before you signed this, did you take the time to go over it line by line. I mean, this is supposed to be important enough for at least a brief knowledge of what you are signing. Kinda reminds me of those pesky mortgages that are in default. Who woulda known, lead by example. This joke is not funny and has no punchline.

Let’s hope his constituents remember Chris Dodd’s involvement in this fiasco.

Paul Begala insane democrap operative was on Imus this morning claiming that Obama got in trouble because his cabinet engaged in bipartisanship and listened to and followed republican advice not to cap business compensation or bonuses. So it’s all the republicans fault, even though they had no input into the Stimulus bill or knowledge as to what was in the final product.
But it still comes back to Obama is either a fool or a knave. Not the kind of hope and change we were looking for, supposedly.

Of course Hussein is a fraud. Of course he is incompetent. Of course he is utterly unqualified for the job. Of course he represents an extraordinary danger to the well being of the US and to the rights and freedom of the American people. The question is…what to DO about it! Will we all just complain to each other and make clever posts for the next 4 years? The house has just voted (quite unconstitutionally) to confiscate 90% of AIG bonuses. When it votes to steal 50% of bank balances from all Americans with an account–for “the greater good”, of course–will we respond by writing longer posts? And when a new tax makes .22 ammunition $150 for a box of 50, do we send strongly worded emails to our members of congress? The time to think about it and decide a course of action is now, not after it has happened.

@OLDPUPPYMAX: You’re right about the call for action. You might look at Skye’s posts on her newly established Pennsylvania Conservative Council:

http://www.paconservativecouncil.com/

You might find others in your local area to help start one of these.

Or you can look for individual Congressmen and Senators who are taking the fight to the Dems and support them directly with a campaign contribution.

My Senator Jim DeMint has been the tip of the spear in the Senate and he’ll need help in 2010:

Or give money to Dodd’s opponent in Connecticut. Former Congressman Rob Simmons:

And of course it always helps to write letters to your congressmen and Senators as well as letters to the editor of your local paper.

I’m sure if you need more ideas that folks reading this will be glad to put in their two cents.

But you are right. We need to do more than talk.

kinda off subject, but still along the lines of bonuses…
obama raised over 750 million in donors, around 65.5 million people voted for him. That is around 11,000 per donor (if my math is correct). Assuming that each person gave their max ( i heard 5,000) per person, that still leaves another 6 thousand per-person left unaccounted for (i have also read the max is 1,000 all the way to 10k, anyone know the real figure?). Unless my math and logic is completely off, I would be interested in knowing if there are loopholes in campaign fundraising? I know he doesn’t lie and break promises, so I am sure there is a legitimate explanation. I will take the pork with a side of sarcasm.

You are absolutly correct – we warned them. Of course they would not listen then so why would they listen now?

For the Obama Team to be the smartest people in the room, they sure didn’t handle this well. The took over AIG to prevent its collapse, now uncorked a bunch of rage directed at the clean up crew, who are now all leaving, so AIG is in danger of collapsing again.

I hope they got some satisfaction out of this stunt.

The Aig bailout is the crime, where did the bailout money we gave them go? Why to overseas banks, and Goldman Sacks, and other banks. They used aig as a clearing house for money transfers. All this “bonus” balogna is just to keep our eyes away from the real crime.

Atlas Looked.
Atlas Shrugged.

We do truly need a savior to save us from Dear Leader.

While all this AIG mess was going on. Obama sends 2 billion to ACORN and they will “HELP” with the 2010 census. I want that money returned, where is the outrage for 2 billion to an organization that is under investigation for fraud.

Where is the outrage for Dodd, Obama getting donations from AIG. The world is upside down and i need to see some responsible people leading us out of this.

Picking on Geither is wrong on the bonus point. I saw a March 3 video of him explaining the bonus money would keep some brains in the outfit to get the co. turned around so tax payers will eventually get the money back. That was his reasoning and i agree.

Liam,

The really big donations go directly to the Democratic Party. This shouldn’t have helped Obama directly becauseof the agreement he made with McCain to limit their campaign spending to the amount available to each from the combined congressional campaign fund (somewhere around $42 million, if my memory is correct.) Of course, around April of last year, Obama realized that his personal campaign fund added to the money available from the Democratic Party’s funds was considerably greater than what was available from the government’s shared campaign fund. So quick as a flash (and probably even before then), Obama decided to renege on his promise, and it showed. The last months of the campaign saw Obama spending gobs of money on lengthy television ads, spreading more hopey-changey propaganda.

That’s the character of the man for whom 53% of the electorate mortgaged their souls. I hope they come to their senses and don’t make the same mistake.
