President Obama Reads “The Moon Over Star” while the Country’s Economy Sinks Deeper Toward Catastrophic Fail

“…a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany…”

The rise of the oceans must be beginning to slow….because I find myself in agreement with Maureen Dowd!

Earlier this week, a beam of light came down through the window, and the Moonbat Madame was struck down by the following epiphany:

On 9/11, President Bush learned of disaster while reading “The Pet Goat” to grade-school kids. On Tuesday, President Obama escaped from disaster by reading “The Moon Over Star” to grade-school kids.

“We were just tired of being in the White House,” the two-week-old president, with Michelle at his side, explained to students at a public charter school near the White House.

Even as he told the children his favorite superheroes were Batman and Spider-Man, his own dream of being the superhero who swoops in to swiftly save America was going SPLAT!

It just ain’t that easy.

Mr. Obama’s errors on the helter-skelter stimulus package were also self-induced. He should put down those Lincoln books and order “Dave” from Netflix.

When Kevin Kline becomes an accidental president, he summons his personal accountant, Murray Blum, to the White House to cut millions in silly programs out of the federal budget so he can give money to the homeless. [through personal, private charity, I hope-wordsmith]

“Who does these books?” Blum says with disgust, red-penciling an ad campaign to boost consumers’ confidence in cars they’d already bought. “If I ran my office this way, I’d be out of business.”

Mr. Obama should have taken a red pencil to the $819 billion stimulus bill and slashed all the provisions that looked like caricatures of Democratic drunken-sailor spending.

As Senator Kit Bond, a Republican, put it, there were so many good targets that he felt “like a mosquito in a nudist colony.”
He was especially worried about the provision requiring the steel and iron for infrastructure construction to be American-made, and by the time the chastened president talked to Chris Wallace on Fox Tuesday, he agreed that “we can’t send a protectionist message.”

Mr. Obama protested to Brian Williams that the programs denounced as “wasteful” by Republicans “amount to less than 1 percent of the entire package.” All the more reason to cut them and create a lean, clean bill tailored to creating jobs.

Currently, the unemployment rate hovers around 7.2%. By the Administration’s own calculations, where will unemployment be after 2 years under passage of the stimulus bill? 7.0%!

Most of the jobs would only replace those lost to the recession. Even with the stimulus package, the administration estimates that unemployment would be 7% at the end of 2010 — barely below the current 7.2% rate.

As Michael Medved put it on his Thursday broadcast, this isn’t a recovery passage: It’s a status quo package! With one difference, of course: We will have squandered all of that taxpayer money on creating a catastrophe of new debt.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Maybe a lot of both.

At least this time around, we have a President who is not hiding out for 7 minutes in some school classroom during “this was the moment” of our nation’s “worst” economic “catastrophy”.

By the Administration’s own calculations, where will unemployment be after 2 years under passage of the stimulus bill? 7.0%!

The real travesty here is not that the unemployment rate would be about the same – I’m sure that their models will show you that if we do nothing, the unemployment rate would be 10% or whatever. The idiocy is that they pretend to be able to predict the unemployment rate two years from now, and other people pretend to believe them. Who on that team predicted the current situation, two years ago? No one; so why do they think that they can predict what things will be like two years from now?

There was actually a better moment than that!: His discussion of his favorite super hero (Batman and Spiderman) with a youngster and suggested he liked them because he helped those less fortunate, etc.

Not to mention him blaming delay of this bill on unpatriotic Republicans who do so to the peril of the US as we face a worsening catastrophe each and every day that goes by. When the honeymoon runs out with him, he’s not going to be able to control his message by simply suggesting that questions or observations of himself and his policies in a negative light were “distractions” from the message of hope that didn’t deserve an answer. I feel people are going to run out of hope soon.

Can we finally correct the myth that President Bush was reading “My Pet Goat”. The president was at a photo-op for his education agenda. The childred were reading to him. The whole purpose of the visit was to highlight 2nd graders who were able to read at their grade level.

Of course dems were told that raising the minimum wage would cause people to be fired. But they went ahead and passed in the face of Conservative objections. In the month right after the law went into effect 500,000 jobs were lost. In the three months right after the law went into effect over two million people lost their jobs just as conservative warned.

So what do liberals say about that? They say, “It is Bush’s fault!” as though he had passed the new minimum wage law.

Of course the worst educated people in the US are liberals so they believe anything they are told by their ‘betters’. I could be Tuesday but if Obama says it is Saturday they will assume they are working over the weekend. They cannot apply logical thought because to a liberal logical is, “Obama said it so it is true!”

Frankly stimulus is not about spending. It is about expanding capital. And the way to expand capital is to reduce government intervention in the markets, reduce regulatory hurldes, and reduce taxes on business. If you do that then the capital will expand and there will be more money and more jobs for everyone. And with more people having jobs government revenue also goes up. A rising tide lifts all boats.

JFK did it and the properity produced took us to the moon and beyond. Reagan resurreccted the JFK policies and expanded the economy again to get us out of the recession Carter created for us. Just like the recession Obama is creating by spending your children’s children’s money.

Obama will have one legacy for sure: recession and inflation. The dollar will certainly lose value in money markets.

On the other hand, this is exactly what I expected from a room full of liberals. They are handing the republicans a huge win in two and again in four years.

People will not put up with this mismanagement of our economy.

And that doesn’t even address the fact that we will soon be attacked by jihadists.

Wonder if any of the adorable little kiddies being regaled by His Holiness in the classroom were abortion survivors? Oh that’s right, The Messiah makes sure those PEOPLE don’t make it out of the medical center, much less have a chance to go to school.

Is it just me, or does Michelle O’Bama look like a tranny?

Just sayin’…

GET THIS: 9+ states have recently proposed Resolutions of Independence under the 10th amendment to their legislatures. The point seems to be to stem the usurpation of state’s powers by the federal government. Hot stuff!
