Iran To Obama – “Get Bent”

Loading

Here is Obama saying that our negotiations with Iran should be tough and direct with carrots and sticks.

Problem is, it’s been tried before. Bush did it, with the precondition that they stop their nuclear production. They told him to get bent, and guess what Iran told Obama?

Iran has rejected a suggestion by US President-elect Barack Obama that a carrot and stick policy of economic incentives and additional sanctions might persuade the Iranian government to change its behavior.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hasan Qashqavi, said Monday that Obama’s proposed policy was unacceptable and had failed in the past.

Qashqavi reiterated Iran’s refusal to suspend enrichment Monday and said the US must recognize Iran’s “nuclear right” before the country would dispel concerns about its program.

He also said Obama would have to alter the current administration’s confrontational policy toward Iran to overcome the present impasse.

Ch-ch-change!

Oh, and Achmedanutjob is now blaming the US for the Mumbai attack.

Transcript:

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: The events of 9/11 were dubious. They served as a pretext to attack Iraq. In fact, the attack against Iraq was a cure, or a pain-killer, for the ailing U.S. economy.

~~~
Ahmadinejad: The pressure they exert on Afghanistan and Pakistan mainly targets India and China.
Interviewer: These are their strategic targets?
Ahmadinejad: In my opinion, yes. Otherwise, their presence in Afghanistan would yield nothing but expenses for them. They do not gain anything from it. Apart from exerting pressure on people and making them suffer, they do not benefit from this at all. After all, Afghanistan does not have a dynamic economy, or valuable resources that they could take. It serves as a base from which they direct their arrows toward India, and in my view, they will eventually direct them toward China as well. They have already begun – the operation in India was a savage terrorist operation, in which, according to reports, more than 200 people were killed. These people had nothing to do with events [in the region]. They were tourists, but even if they were diplomats, they were only going about their daily routine.
Any group that could carry out [such an attack], and use it as a pretext to generate conflict between Pakistan and India, and to aggravate their sensitivities… In my opinion, it must have been planned and carried out by people from out of the region. It is impossible for such acts to have been carried out by people living in the region – whether in Pakistan, India, or Afghanistan. Without a doubt, it was planned from outside. At any rate, [America] is progressing in this direction, with this plan, which began with 9/11, continued with the attacks against Afghanistan and Iraq, and is now focusing on Afghanistan, India, China, as well as Georgia, and the expansion of the NATO alliance.
No preconditions for this nutjob tho.
did obama really think they would listen to him because his skin color and muslim family members? he really is naive. they saw bush as a cowbaoy and a joke and now they are hopefully realizing that they are dealing with people who aren’t playing with a full deck of cards.
Iran isn’t nuanced enough to understand his brilliance?
LOL Okay let’s see if I’m getting this straight. Ahmadinejad is jumping on the ultra-ultra-left conspiracy theory bandwagon by suggesting the terrorist attacks on Mumbai was a covertly American-backed effort to create strife between India & Pakistan, he then jumps on the “9-11 was a home-grown Bush conspiracy” angle and says that terrorist actions against China are next on our agenda? Is he buying the liberal Kool-aid on the black market?
I guess we are to believe that America has engaged terrorists to attack their own supply routes within Pakistan supporting the Afghanistan effort:
I suppose next he will be claiming that behind the scenes, America is fed up with supporting Israel and has been secretly providing Iran with the technologies and materials for nuclear weapons to wipe it off the face of the earth, while making the world think we were against it and he was merely a puppet.
What is he vetting for a Michael Moore screenwriter job?
Meanwhile, Obama is saying there must be carrot & stick preconditions for someone he previously said he would meet with without preconditions?
There are two ways to interpret the rhetoric:
1) It may just be a lame attempt by Ahmadinejad to preemptively foster support from China should the U.N., NATO, &/or America decide to send forces into Iran to stop their illegal nuclear weapons program.
2) Reading between the lines, it may also be that Ahmadinejad has unintentionally gaffed and spilled the beans on some plans underway which he has gained knowledge of from terrorist connections. If I were a leader in China, I would take it as a serious potential threat that terrorists will target their homeland and cultural landmarks next because of the financial investments they have been making with the Islamic Fundamentalist’s “Great Satan” over the last few decades.
That would be a seriously dumb move by world terrorists; To awaken yet another “Sleeping Giant”.
Just what did you expect Iran would feels for the “Most-Hated-Man-In-America-Elect” ?
Hey! Akwardmanandda! didn’t you get the peace(ie) & hope(ie) memo! You must listen to the one who luuuuuvs you much, BHO! The messiah lord BHO is your savior too. People please, check you emails! Damn camel jockey!
Obama is nowhere near receiving the hate Bush got. Iran hated Bush because they feared he would help attack them. They seriously doubt obama will and as a result Obama is being tested.
