Yeah, the Bush-bashing/”It takes a long time to clean up after Bush” narrative will be present (just as similar replies will follow like the, “hey, XYZ happened on Obama’s watch” and the, “…but, Obama said he could CHANGE things”). Still, the common denominator theme of ‘we were cheated’/'we’re oppressed because of ….’ is over. No more.

It’s accountability, and responsibility time.

Well as much as i might agree with the illuminati on this one, understanding that it is going to take a lot to clean up after bush i don’t see what good it’s going to do to keep bashing Bush. Just just move on and see what Obama got.

I’m reminded of the video made by the ‘How Obama Got Elected’ people interviewing Obama voters and them being so dang ignorant in their answers in thinking that, for example, that all our econonic problems are due to the “Repuplican” congress; since Pres. Bush is Republican, then congress must be, too. Well, now maybe even they will remember ‘Obama is a Democrat, and so Congress must be Democrat!’ (and they’d be right, even if they guessed it). And, so how long can they really blame Pres. Bush? I think that blame window is much narrower than was mentioned in the video (I think they said a year). I mean, what happens if we have another hurricane in the Gulf? Who will they blame? (You know, the hurricane itself was somehow President Bush’s fault, too.) ;)

Yes, it will be interesting, at best.

I call bullsh*t on this video.

Being a Lib means never having to own up to your failings. Libs will NEVER take responsibility for their failings and NO ONE will hold them accountable for not doing so.

Whatever. This is the same old Liberal bullsh*t. It’s been going on for forty years. Having a Dem President, Congress and Senate won’t change a fricking thing…

I have to say that I agree with that, bronze. Unfortunately, liberals don’t seem to have within their make-up the conscience/core needed to admit wrong–that would mean admitting their very existence as a human being is wrong, in their mind. The question is, will even they begin to blame Obama for the conditions around them? Soon he will be a representative of “the Man”, and they have issues with authority. Who will Obama blame? I think the Bush card will be played out quickly, so who knows who he will throw under the bus next.

I fear that the Democrats have mastered the art of blaming the other guy to the point that they can blame Bush for decades, let alone the first Obama term. I mean, look at the No Child Left Behind debacle; Kennedy managed to bollix that bill to the point where it does nothing but cost money, yet it’s always pointed to as a Bush fiasco.

If one side is willing to screw the country over… by say, spiking the economy, or sabotaging a war effort, and the other side prefers to minimize damage… that first side is always going to have an edge, especially if no one ever calls them on it.

“Accountability time??” Don’t bet on it. Anything that doesn’t go well will be blamed on a “hangover” effect of the Bush administration. And naturally the MSM will report it just exactly that way. Hussein will only be accountable for good things that happen. You know, like a 90% tax rate on those evil rich people, or the confiscation of handguns from all of the white, middle class non-criminals out there.
