Saw his stance on firearms. I don’t think he really gets the 2nd Amend. I’ll have to support the other guy.

In all seriousness; Do any of you know of any solid links that give Steele’s actual position on the second amendment?

I tried to look into it and the only thing I could find were several commenter blog posts claiming that Steele was a RINO and didn’t think that the second amendment applied to hunting and sports. Yet not a one of them sited any sources for the rumor and all were phrased similarly, as we’ve seen with posters here presenting Lib Dem talking points.

I found it particularly odd as Steele was endorsed by the NRA. One site circulating the rumor stated that Harry Reid was a second amendment supporter, which I know to be false. I’m just a little suspicious that Lib Dems might once again be pretending to be conservative posters and planting preemptive seeds because they fear Steele in the GOP driving seat might “steal away” black voters from the DNC plantation. Just as they tried to do with Palin, claiming to be Christian conservatives, yet attacking her for Bristol being pregnant and for the particular church denomination Sarah attended.

Both Steele and Thompson show as “Moderates” on the Senate match charts on that site.

Still I even have to take ontheissues.com… with a grain of salt. Fred didn’t show up on their senator’s list webpage. I had to use the old trick of changing the name in the link to get there. Then when I clicked on their “policies” tab it took me to:
http://speakout.com/activism/issues/

This & their HQ location had me wondering whether they were as non-partisanship as they claim:
OnTheIssues headquarters, 1770 Massachusetts Ave. #630, Cambridge MA 02140

With the predominance of Dems posing as Conservatives, it’s hard to tell who you can trust nowadays.

I sure hope the GOP regroups, because I’m not sure if we can take any more of what the elitist illuminati in Congress have done.
