Sanjay... you give up too easily! First of all, this was a very conservative mandate election.... hard to believe.

Obama campaigned on "tax cuts". This is a conservative message. Yes... he was lying thru his teeth, offering tax cuts to low earners and contributors, and tax increases to everyone else. But he stayed on message. He was all about (in some alternate universe) tax cuts.

Spending? He was not psuedo conservative there. But, immediately after the election, he was back pedaling on spending Another "conservative" value.

I'd say we are not doomed. The message needs to be... first, obeyed by those in office, and second, revamped to conservatism... of which there are only a handful of those in elected office.

Sanjay: re: “Jazz Shaw responds to Ted”

Like a true moderate Jazz does not understand that the road to recovery is blocked by so called moderates. They must, therefore, be convinced of the errors of their ways or vetted from the party. Moderates are little more than soft Republicrats who lack backbone and are unable to stand up for anything unless it gets them a seat at the table.

For example, can anyone define McCain’s core idea in the campaign? He was conflicted, and Palin came to his rescue several times and that won her the enmity of McCain’s backstabbing staffers.

I read Jazzes’ piece as a “lay down and get along” song and dance that made my stomach rumble. “Beating the democrats” is what it’s all about! If you don’t beat them they win and America becomes another Marxist country. Now, please show me one of those that are prospering!

Craig: Go sit it the corner and suck your thumb until someone changes your diaper. When you return stop emoting. That is what liberals do.

Jazz Shaw responds to Ted:

<blockquote>
...
If the GOP’s leadership can turn its back on distractions and find ways to deliver real solutions to major, long term problems for America - as opposed to finding ideas to fix partisan problems in their own party - the road to recovery will open up. If the focus remains on discovering attack strategies to “beat the Democrats” then I fear the GOP will need to get used to living in the wilderness. They’re gong to be there for a while.

@<a href="#comment-131101" rel="nofollow">Curt</a>:

Golly!

I go away for a few hours and the fur flies.

I can't be here 24/7. I'm already hamstrung by being on EST.

@<a href="#comment-131015" rel="nofollow">Craig</a>:

Come on man. Don't go away mad.

If you do, then the turrists have won. :)

Just remember to do what is clearly within your power. Either ignore the post or respond with some sort of humor. That's what I do. Haven't you ever seen my "Moby, Moby, Moby" routine or the "boa" or "nice shoes" comments?

I like to take the inane, vapid posts of some of these ninnyhammers and fashion them into cluebats with which to cyber bash them over their pointy little heads. Some of them aren't worthy of any sort of response whatsoever. Just scroll on by. Chances are very good that one of the other posters or one of the authors will play the game with them.

Most of the time, after being force fed the facts to the point that they're bloated, they will move along quietly.

Some, like RAP (who called himself Sky55110 before he adopted his sock puppet), and Erika/voter are the resident barking MoonBat mascots.

Their arguments don't stand up to any sort of scrutiny and, when they are scrutinized, they will quickly scurry off into the darkness until the dust settles returning again later to raise another unrelated issue about which they are also clueless.

I don't agree with all of the other posters here either. I don't agree with all of the authors even. But that's OK. That's what makes the world go round. There are times that I will speak up and say so. Other times, I just keep quiet.

So, take this post for what it's worth.

I enjoy your presence. I enjoy your contributions. Just ratchet down the emotion and reaction a bit and all will be well.

Just remember that the world, even the cyber world of FA, would be mighty bland without a little salt and pepper.

<blockquote>Sure it is, but there is no debate with the leftists on this blog. </blockquote>

Come on. Sure there is. Some are drive-by commenters, sure...but there is plenty of debate among the commentors and the authors on this blog.

<blockquote>It’s not a conservative blog anymore; it has become a moderate (center) blog. You don’t even see it.</blockquote>

Now you had me laughing on that one.

<blockquote>It is amazing that you tolerate all the stupidities from the leftists, but surprisingly, you cannot accept if a conservative contradicts you… isn’t that strange! You want no debate between conservatives. Tolerant only for leftists… but no tolerance for conservatives that disagree with you.</blockquote>

For the life of me I don't understand where you get this stuff. Have you been banned? Nope...you run when someone tells you this won't be your own echo chamber, sure....but you have not been banned.

<blockquote>This is what they are doing all the times to us and Sarah, McCain, Bush and conservatives… and they are still here and still doing it. I saw no ban! Except for Kool-Aid who wasn’t the worst of them.</blockquote>

Because they disagree with you, this may antagonize you. But simple disagreement doesn't provoke hostility in most people. Most recognize it for what it is, a disagreement. There have been some who did do nothing but poke people in the ribs to get a reaction and they were banned.

<blockquote>You won’t have to ban me, I’m out of here. You seem to be more comfortable with leftists than with conservatives who disagree with you. So keep them and cherish them. Your blog has become a centrist blog anyways and I don’t want to be part of it anymore. These are not my values. I don’t appreciate “center” and “moderate” and “mediocrity”. It leads nowhere. It is a waste of time. A merry go-round! If I cannot disagree with an author of this site… what is the point? So much for free speech and intense exchanges. You do not tolerate articulated people who speak their mind. In your world, there are no such things; there is no space for another mentality than yours. We conservatives all have to be of the same model: tolerant moderate good guys. Well that is not me, never was, never will. Thanks god!</blockquote>

Man...you sure are some drama queen.

Craig....

For the life of me, why do you always have to be so hyperbolic and melodramatic? Not only that, but your perception of reality is rather skewed. You and I are often in disagreement. Yet you're still tolerated. You disagreed with Scott. You're still here. You disagree with Curt. You're still here. The only one who has trouble exercising any kind of tolerance, is YOU. You've said it yourself about how much you hate "tolerance".

Anyway, just calm down and don't get so worked up all the time.

That's okay, bbart... you don't have to like Nugent, the man 100%. However the points he makes, in a style that is distinctly The Nuge, are the perfect chord. We have too many RINO representatives that "talk conservative" and "spend liberal". Their spending for the decade plus they were in power is completely antithesis to what conservative is all about. We have become a shadow of our former selves.

Thus, separate the conservatives from the moderates, put the conservatives back in with the stronger voice, and get back to basics.

<center><b>~~~</center></b>

Craig, if you're still reading... I know your fire'y passion is in control at the moment. I believe Curt is responding to the many times you've demanded that this blog "clean up" or you'd leave. That's just not how it's going to work. Truth be told, I wasn't appreciative of that not so subtle form of blackmail, so to speak, myself. But I let it pass as I have other comments you've made that make my brows raise in astonishment. This is because I've had time to get to know your temperment.

I doubt any of us would stand for any single commenter mounting a campaign that attempts to chase off the dissenting voices by making them feel unwelcome. If a cyber community in total harmony is what you seek, then FA is just not your bag. Frankly, had you gotten your way (unlikely), then I'd be out of here for boredom alone.

But I do resent your parting shots that all FA authors are somehow centrist and moderate... at least by your terms... and that we don't disagree with each other. Actually, we disagree often. Perhaps it's missed because we are generally civil, having a respect for each other's perspective. And of course you - and anyone else - are allowed to disagree with Curt, or any of us. Unmitigated support for our posts was never a demand any of us has required.

You have enjoyed as much tolerance as anyone else... and perhaps a bit more because we know your directness and refusal to mince your words. But Curt and Rocky have made a valid point. Sometimes it's good to throttle back, and just skip the one who got on your nerves with a post instead of just posting an insulting judgment call on the commenter. Definitely makes for less stress and anger in your daily life.

I certainly hope you check in at least every once in awhile. And yes, we've all flown off the handle occasionally when a comment gets under our skin. But I also hope you will take Curt and Rocky's comments to heart about throttling back on some of the many comments that are composed of nothing but insults. Their advice was truly delivered in cyber friendship.

Craig, if you’re still reading… I know your fire’y passion is in control at the moment. I believe Curt is responding to the many times you’ve demanded that this blog “clean up” or you’d leave. That’s just not how it’s going to work. Truth be told, I wasn’t appreciative of that not so subtle form of blackmail, so to speak, myself. But I let it pass as I have other comments you’ve made that make my brows raise in astonishment. This is because I’ve had time to get to know your temperment.

I doubt any of us would stand for any single commenter mounting a campaign that attempts to chase off the dissenting voices by making them feel unwelcome. If a cyber community in total harmony is what you seek, then FA is just not your bag. Frankly, had you gotten your way (unlikely), then I’d be out of here for boredom alone.

But I do resent your parting shots that all FA authors are somehow centrist and moderate… at least by your terms… and that we don’t disagree with each other. Actually, we disagree often. Perhaps it’s missed because we are generally civil, having a respect for each other’s perspective. And of course you – and anyone else – are allowed to disagree with Curt, or any of us. Unmitigated support for our posts was never a demand any of us has required.

You have enjoyed as much tolerance as anyone else… and perhaps a bit more because we know your directness and refusal to mince your words. But Curt and Rocky have made a valid point. Sometimes it’s good to throttle back, and just skip the one who got on your nerves with a post instead of just posting an insulting judgment call on the commenter. Definitely makes for less stress and anger in your daily life.

I certainly hope you check in at least every once in awhile. And yes, we’ve all flown off the handle occasionally when a comment gets under our skin. But I also hope you will take Curt and Rocky’s comments to heart about throttling back on some of the many comments that are composed of nothing but insults. Their advice was truly delivered in cyber friendship.

I stand corrected on who Nugent supported in the primary. Still don't care for the guy but I think I have to admit it has a lot to do with style (Limbaugh also irritates the hell out of me) and less with substance.
Here's something I like better (with very similar thoughts), even if the average Nugent supporter would probably find it a bit bloodless: <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/10/sanford.conservatives/index.html" rel="nofollow">Mark Sanford</a> on the election.

God Bless Ted Nugent! It should be an honor to him that liberals try to pass him off as crazy. I have been reading Ted, White, and Blue the last few nights, and he has inspired me like no other conservative has since Ronald Reagan.

Now, now Curt and Craig. Let's have no fighting in the ranks.

There are certainly plenty of good left wing moonbats for us to skewer without us having to fight with each other.

My dog in this race was the pit-bull, with lipstick*.

*No insult intended Sarah, you are no dog by any stretch of the imagination.

I tend to go along with conservatives on many issues and agree with Mata that McCain was not exactly the pinnacle of conservatism, despite my respect for the man. Nor would I likely agree on every issue one of FA author's might post. When that happens, I'll back up my position as best I can, and see what they have to offer up, and maybe we'll come to a concession, or agree to disagree. Our readers can make up their own minds after reviewing both arguments. In the pharma debate for example; Larry W brought some things to the table I hadn't considered. His comments and others have revised my thinking on a few aspects, but I'm still certainly not ready to sign on fully to the "Obama plan", as I don't seriously think even Obama knows what the "Obama plan" is at this juncture.

We love ya' Craig, but got to agree with Curt on this, need to throttle back on the anger buddy. After all FA is his baby. We have a crack team of knowledgeable people here combating the slings and arrows of outrageous talking points. I for one think FA has a lot more class than that. Each seem to have their topics areas of strengths and weaknesses. That's why I decided to hang out here of all the blogs I've run across. As I feel I have something to add to the mixture. Most of the people here are fair and balanced if you don't mind me using the FOX cliche'. We're all upset with how the election turned out, but no need to allow frustration be a driving force on our posts, least we throw the baby out with the bathwater. Don't let fly-by moonbats force you down to troll level with name-calling to refute banal logic, insensitivity, and amorality. It's not conceding a point if we do not respond to each and ever post of tripe. Some are not even worthy of a response. If you feel a couple are beneath contempt, might be best to move on and ignore them, rather than blow a head gasket and go out guns a'blazin' after every one of them dern polecats, 'cause we got your back. I'ld kinda' miss you hangin' out here, so don't take everything personally k'? I can respect you have a lot of conviction behind your beliefs mon ami.

I also like a good debate, heck I might even play Devil's Advocate once in a while just to shake things up and see what falls out of the tree. I'm not going to be a coward about it and hide behind an assumed name though. All said, I see a pretty good job being done here in sorting out facts from BS.

Curt,

I hope you will have the courage and the decency to not censure my comment.

"Debate is a good thing." (Curt)

Sure it is, but there is no debate with the leftists on this blog. They don't want to exchange; they are only here to nag and provoke us and to give false information. They do not want to learn, they do not want to know, they just want to keep believing what they already believe falsely.

"It’s a conservative blog and will always remain so since I am conservative» (Curt)

It's not a conservative blog anymore; it has become a moderate (center) blog. You don't even see it.

"I will shut this blog down before I allow it to become an echo chamber." (Curt)

It is amazing that you tolerate all the stupidities from the leftists, but surprisingly, you cannot accept if a conservative contradicts you... isn't that strange! You want no debate between conservatives. Tolerant only for leftists... but no tolerance for conservatives that disagree with you. You cannot disagree with an author of this site... "NO YOU CAN'T". Tolerant only in appearance! Tolerance only for the weak. Remarkable!

"And I am sorry to say some of your comments are becoming nothing but mindless insults." (Curt)

Are you saying or pretending that I make no valuable contributions on this blog? I have made more valid contributions and research than most of the people here. Where were you all that time? Skipping or ignoring my comments, videos and articles? Gee... unbelievable!

"I have banned liberals on this blog for making no other contribution other then antagonizing the readers and insulting them." (Curt)

This is what they are doing all the times to us and Sarah, McCain, Bush and conservatives... and they are still here and still doing it. I saw no ban! Except for Kool-Aid who wasn't the worst of them. They have never made a valuable contribution; at least I never read one. Are we supposed to take that shit from them and just shut up? Sorry, but I am not that type of person. I will not let people trash Sarah and Bush without saying anything. I am not the American "good guy" style at all. I don't even understand that mentality. I say what I think, I am direct and you know exactly where I stand... I'm no hypocrite and I will always defend the people that I like and respect. And I will always stand for my conservative values... I will never indulge in centrism.

"Don’t make me ban you." (Curt)

You won't have to ban me, I'm out of here. You seem to be more comfortable with leftists than with conservatives who disagree with you. So keep them and cherish them. Your blog has become a centrist blog anyways and I don't want to be part of it anymore. These are not my values. I don't appreciate "center" and "moderate" and "mediocrity". It leads nowhere. It is a waste of time. A merry go-round! If I cannot disagree with an author of this site... what is the point? So much for free speech and intense exchanges. You do not tolerate articulated people who speak their mind. In your world, there are no such things; there is no space for another mentality than yours. We conservatives all have to be of the same model: tolerant moderate good guys. Well that is not me, never was, never will. Thanks god!
