Pres-Elect Obama ran the Senate Committee on Afghanistan, never once held a hearing on Afghanistan, and campaigned for 2 years on the lie that American forces somehow or another “took their eye off the ball” and were not actively attacking Al Queda in the area. The other day, he got his first Presidential Daily Briefing. Since then he’s surely had more, and no doubt was told about this strike and the long list of others over the past 7years (probably more than we know). Inexcusable, but no longer unavoidable.

After a one-week lull, the US has struck an al Qaeda training camp inside Pakistan’s lawless tribal belt. US unmanned Predator aircraft fired four missiles into a camp in the village of Kumsham in North Waziristan, AFP reported. Up to 14 people have been reported to have been killed.

“The strike successfully destroyed the camp,” one source told AFP. “The militants were using the facility for training,” another source said.

Seven al Qaeda operatives and one local Taliban commander was killed in the attack, sources told the news agency. But there is no indication that senior al Qaeda or Taliban leaders were killed in the strike. The attack occurred in the Wazir tribal areas right along the border with South Waziristan. This is likely an area run by Taliban commander Hafiz Gul Bahadar. He shelters al Qaeda fighters, operates training camps in his tribal areas, and sends his fighters into Afghanistan to fight Coalition forces.

Biden held all the hearings on Afghanistan in the full committee, attempting to bolster NATO’s role there. So, it’s not like nothing was done for Afghanistan, as the Foreign Relations Committee does the ‘heavy lifting’ -as it happens, Obama was also new to the senate, and the tenured Biden, chair of the full committee, obviously, reserves the right to handle the really big issues — and Afghanistan counts as a huge issue.

Obama’s role here, attempting to apply leverage on the events in Afghanistan, would probably have been interpreted as an attempt at ‘playing outside of his league.’

“There have been 28 recorded cross-border attacks and attempts in Pakistan in 2008, according to numbers compiled by The Long War Journal. Twenty-one of these attacks have occurred since Aug. 31. There were only 10 strikes during 2006 and 2007 combined.”

Good news! This means that this Government, now that they know that the most incompetent POTUS of all times will be sworn in office in January, it is best for them to speed the rythm with the terrorists. Knowing that Obama ’s words are empty words, he will probably do nothing for Afghanistans and nothing against the terrorists who adores him. I believe they must still be celebrating Obama’s victory… lol

American officials knew exactly what they were doing, and the left-wing illuminati have accused them of not knowing anything. That just didn’t go about broadcasting our plans, as the liberals have.
