Nothing seems to be easier than seeing someone whom you can help but not helping.
I suggest we start giving it a try. Give love to the ones that need it.
God will appreciate it.

OMG... here I thought with election day over, I didn't have to endure more "just words" and "soaring rhetoric" BS. And here comes Errol, just brimming with feel good, squishy crap. Well, ya know, Errol? I don't mind losing an election because I was raised in good ol' America where competition and winners also meant there were losers. Not like we're teaching our kids now with scoreless games so as not to offend.

But I'll be danged if I'm going to listen to you attempt to wax eloquent over the "cold, calculating" rise to power of a self absorbed, affirmative action driven POTUS. i.e. you said:

<blockquote>Against all odds, against negative ads, negative rhetoric, negative commentary, the American dream conceived in the heart of a believer, became a reality for a nation.</blockquote>

Ah... dreams. You think that 52% of this nation's population who voted for Obama represents the entire nation's dreams? That means that 48% of them voted for McCain or third parties. And that 48% doesn't see Obama's dreams as their own.

And speaking of... just what are Obama's dreams, other than to ascend to personal "greatness"? I'll remind you... from Obama's "A More Perfect Union" speech.

<blockquote>In the white community, the path to a more perfect union means acknowledging that what ails the African-American community does not just exist in the minds of black people; that the legacy of discrimination - and current incidents of discrimination, while less overt than in the past - are real and must be addressed. Not just with words, but with deeds - by investing in our schools and our communities; by enforcing our civil rights laws and ensuring fairness in our criminal justice system; by providing this generation with ladders of opportunity that were unavailable for previous generations. <b>It requires all Americans to realize that your dreams do not have to come at the expense of my dreams; </b>that investing in the health, welfare, and education of black and brown and white children will ultimately help all of America prosper.</blockquote>

Obama's notion of "prosper" also entains the belief that *his* dreams suffered by the very existence of mine.

That's not only horse manure and soaring rhetoric fodder for dewey eyed utopian types like you, that's a warning that in order to .... supposedly.... give someone else's dreams a chance, another must give up theirs.

You and Obama want now to "redistribute the dream" as well as the "wealth". That, Errol, is not the American dream.

Your obvious preference for fantasy over facts is indicative of the under educated, narcissistic mentality that has been instilled in this nation via the public education system for decades. What you call the "kitchen sink" strategy was a series of facts and road signs as to who Obama is. That you call it "mudslinging" and miss it's import is not in the least bit surprising. For you are obviously the DNC poster child of Americans, incapable of making wise decisions for their lives and prosperity... which is why they want to step in and do it for you.

Hope you like the hand of cards they deal you. But I suspect your glow of utoptia will lose it's luster with reality.

All things are possible to them that believe. Napoleon Hill once said “Whatever the human mind can conceive and believe it can achieve”. Against all odds, against negative ads, negative rhetoric, negative commentary, the American dream conceived in the heart of a believer, became a reality for a nation.

There were those that cooked up a kitchen sink strategy to sink Senator Barak Obama's election campaign. The kitchen sink strategy failed. Others tried mudslinging politics . That failed. The precision of the Obama 2008 Election team remained sure , stedfast focused on real issues to win the campaign. The pages of history will declare the folly of kitchen sink strategy and mudslinging politics.

All American's are to be congratulated for showing the world that democracy has never been a dream . Democracy is a reality . South Africa had President Nelson Mandela , The United States of America has President Barak Obama.

Political pundits may have a lot to say about this and that. History books will record the brilliance of the well organised and well disciplined and adequately financed Obama 2008 campaign.

It was said before, some months ago “...That if God wants Barak Obama to be President, nothing or nobody can stop that...”. History now records that he will be the 44th President of the United States of America.

May God's protection, God's wisdom and God's peace be with President elect Barak Obama and his wife Michelle and their children.May God continue to bless and be with the United States of America.

A great campaign. Democracy in action. Errol Smythe.

<blockquote>
he will be remembered as being more of a new American Superhero than a Herbert Hoover
</blockquote>

No, he will be remembered as having sucked more than a Super Hoover Vacuum-Cleaner. The America's job market, election system integrity, political corruption, infractions against our rights, tax rates and out of control government spending sprees, new U.N. powers over our sovereignty, etceteras. It will all suck to the extreme.

I'm appalled by the corruption and illegal activities that have aided BHO. In each instance, he's received a free pass each and every step of the way. This signals me that the fate decided for this world could not be averted. The signs established were clear once he began to be referred to as the Messiah and he chose to endorse this belief, instead of refuting it as any true Christian would.

I had hoped that maybe, just maybe, the Anti-Christ would not become a leader of this country. I had a bad feeling this would not be the case; I.E. It is God's will that the Apocalypse would be at hand as predicted. God has begun his final tests of mankind prior to the end of this epoch and to herald in the next. So pull out the family Bibles and read up on the Revelation.

I plan to shift some of my attention to research of the various prophecies. This means looking into the various religious writings procured, as well as Mayan, Incan, Aztek, Chinese, & other cultural prophecies, and those of known figures such as Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, and the Judeau-Christian Prophets. I'll try to keep you advised of what I find. For now, here is a taste of events to be on the alert for:

- Droughts will continue to place worsening losses of food supplies and increased demand. There will be hoarding and shortages of world food supplies. With crop failures effecting 1/3 of all harvests. It will get so bad that some will turn towards cannibalization of their fellow man.
- This War on Terrorism, is the Jihad, and Apocalyptic Holy War will spread to Greater Europe and turn to outright guerrilla skirmishes, particularly in urban areas.
- The droughts will be followed by heavy rains and hail. With the reduction of plant life to buffer and absorb the waters, and hard dry earth, the flooding will be widespread. Particularly effected will be central Europe; Eastern France and Italy.
- Pope Benedictine, the final pope before the descent of the Holy Roman (Saint Peter) will be force by the floods to relocate the Vatican.
- Terrorists will seize on this as an opportunity to strike a symbolic and savage blow against Christianity by attempting a massacre of the Catholic theological hierarchy, Pope Benedict and his court. It's not yet clear if this will be successful.

<em>"Obama is more of the “cloth” of Clinton and Nixon..."</em>

Sounds like PBS, the propaganda arm of the Left, is reaching out to our senility. Nixon was not of the same "cloth" as Clinton, not by a long stretch.

Brandon, it's more like Obama will be more Hoobert Heaver than Hoobert Heaver himself, and then some.

So, is this what it feels like to be "date raped?"

And what superhero would that be, Brandon? Brother Power the Geek? Matter Eater Lad? Zan from the Wonder Twins? Dazzler? Extraño? Captain Planet? Captain Caveman? Yeah, when Obama's socialism hits the fan, he won't qualify as a "superhero" even those lame ones I cited.

I disagree with you Carl,

I believe that when he implements his radical “change” he promised in the form of higher taxes, higher government spending to pay for his programs, taking troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan, etc. he will be remembered as being more of a new American Superhero than a Herbert Hoover ...

Obama new hero from America ... :)

I learned more about John McCain and Barack Obama watching a two hour, election-eve special on PBS, than I did in hundreds of hours of reading news stories and op-eds and viewing 3 complete Presidential debates:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/choice2008/

Obama's ambition is to be recognized as the greatest President in American history. He has plotted and managed his career with even greater foresight and skill than did Bill Clinton. He has greater assets than Clinton and none of the weaknesses. The fact that no one was able to dig up any sexual dirt on him virtually qualifies him for sainthood, given his obvious unlimited opportunities. He has ideals and he has friends, but he's been willing to sacrifice both ideals and friendship to the imperatives of his one true loyalty, which is his own place in future history.

On the PBS/Frontline program, one of the most revealing segments was that of his Harvard Law School career, particularly that of his election to and tenure as President of the Harvard Law Review. Disappointing many of his supporters, he only named a single African-American to a masthead position on the Law Review, while naming 3 conservatives, one of whom later became a Bush White House lawyer.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/choice2008/obama/harvard.html

(Scroll down to and read the comments of Bradford Berenson -- said Bush White House lawyer)

Obama's positions, whether on people or issues, have been both calculated and changeable. The strongest constant is the furtherance of his objective to succeed at the very highest level. This is not a person seeking to impose a Euro-socialist agenda. He's been a Chicago liberal because its been expedient to be a Chicago liberal. It's got him to where he is today. But he's not about to sacrifice his opportunity to achieve historical greatness in the furtherance of social idealism or environmental idealism. And he's a tough as nails SOB who will defend America, because this is also what is required for him to achieve the historical greatness he seeks. This was also part of his "stupid bull---- speech."

He is a very smart, very shrewd, very dedicated, very pragmatic individual. I understand entirely why he may be antithetical to those who value people guided by unyielding "core beliefs" in ideals such as religion or economic doctrine or social doctrine or environmental doctrine.

I think that we have had Presidents guided by such principles. George W Bush was/is one of these Presidents. Ronald Reagan was another. But Jimmie Carter was yet another.

Obama is more of the "cloth" of Clinton and Nixon, but he possesses greater skills, insight, political intelligence, and he fortunately appears to be without the fatal flaws of character.

The politics of his Presidency are likely to evolve away from the politics of what brought him to the Presidency.

He is certain to surprise.

I learned more about John McCain and Barack Obama watching a two hour, election-eve special on PBS, than I did in hundreds of hours of reading news stories and op-eds and viewing 3 complete Presidential debates:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/choice2008/

Obama’s ambition is to be recognized as the greatest President in American history. He has ideals and he has friends, but he’s been willing to sacrifice both ideals and friendship to the imperatives of his one true loyalty, which is his own place in future history.

(Scroll down to and read the comments of Bradford Berenson — said Bush White House lawyer)

Obama’s positions, whether on people or issues, have been both calculated and changeable. The strongest constant is the furtherance of his objective to succeed at the very highest level. This is not a person seeking to impose a Euro-socialist agenda. He’s been a Chicago liberal because its been expedient to be a Chicago liberal. It’s got him to where he is today. But he’s not about to sacrifice his opportunity to achieve historical greatness in the furtherance of social idealism or environmental idealism.
"But remember, you speak as if all the “dirty deeds” Obama promises are already done just by his win." (Mata)

It doesn't matter if he doesn't do everything he promised. Just to think of all the other things he did not told you that he WILL DO. He will screw-up your country for good in every ways possible. Please do not compare him to the idiotic Carter or Clinton, he is much more dangerous than these past Presidents. He has a secret agenda and he has all the associations he needs to, to make it comme true.

I will not visit the States till he gets out of there. No way will I even put one foot on U.S. land with him as a President. I hate everything about this guy, he is evil and you will soon find out.

Anyways, I just hope that Bush will attack Iran before Obama gets sign-in. And if Bush doesn't do it, I hope Israel will. Because Obama is on Iran side. Get in your head that Obama hates America and all the white folks that lives there. It is so obvious.

P.S.: Oh my God a forgot one more thing. Michelle Obama as the First Lady... yurk! That hateful woman who is not even proud of her country. You people are toasted!

MataHarley,
Doesn't it make you wonder what our future choices will be? Is there anyone out there who can really lead our country out of all this criteria we are buried in? I don't think I will live to see good times in our great country again. Maybe I just want to hear something positive today , I don't know.

Well, Craig... :0)... what can I say? You are totally and refreshingly yourself. Outspoken, and do not mince your words.

But remember, you speak as if all the "dirty deeds" Obama promises are already done just by his win. (which, BTW, I abandoned watching hours ago, and will confirm when the real ballot numbers are in tomorrow AM....) The battle here has only just begun. Now the battle is to hold Obama, and his ego and power, in check with strict rein.

So I'd say hold off on wishing us ill with a social/universal healthcare system that does not yet exist, and the rest of the nightmare scenario that Obama has promised for years on the campaign trail. Politicians say anything to get elected, and Obama is the quintessential politician.

However accomplishing what he promised? Most pols that have been elected in the past have not been able to do so.

And that's where we come into play. So don't give up on the US of A because of a truly f*#ked up 24 hour election day. We are not a nation that goes down in flames without a fight.
