Back Channels: A Soldier Makes The Case For McCain:

The most elegant case in favor of voting for McCain I’ve read to date. Iraq vet, Bill Wade, deployed NINE times to protect our nation, speaks of his reasons for supporting McCain in this election:

Wade refers to himself as an “Irish-Catholic Democrat and McCain supporter.” The leadership and courage the former POW has shown, both in the military and while serving in Congress, make him an easy sell for Wade, who is now a reservist and small-business owner. But Democratic leaders helped push Wade away, too.

“The Democratic Party I grew up in is not the same party of Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi,” Wade said. “When Harry Reid said the war was lost, that was a kick in the stomach to me.” Reid made those remarks while Wade was working in the Capitol.

“What I learned from that experience down in D.C. was that we don’t have leaders in Washington. We have politicians,” Wade said. “A politician will say whatever he has to say to get reelected, and McCain has proven time and time again that he is a profile in courage.

“McCain stood up to the Bush White House on detainee torture, on Guantanamo Bay. He stood up against his own party and was berated, and imploded his presidential campaign over immigration reform. Whether you agree with him or not, he took a stand.

“Where has Barack Obama ever stood up for anything? Where has he stood against his party?”

Wade is as ready for change as anyone, but not in just any direction.

“Change is a beautiful thing, but what’s behind the word change? What are we getting from Obama? It seems to be unknown. At least with John McCain, his life has been an open book. You know where he comes from, you know where he stands, you know where he’s going.”

“Where has Barack Obama ever stood up for anything? Where has he stood against his party?”

He stands up for taking more money out of our wallets with more taxes, big government, entitlement, spending, and higher energy costs to everybody (which will be felt mostly by his stupid and greedy “gimmie gimmie” supporters).

And the only time he went against his own party was when they wanted Hillary picked as his VP after he cheated her out of her primary win by putting Acorn and his thuggies in the caucuses. That counts right? Oh no wait the DNC changed their rules to the Carter election style caucuses to help him win and ignored his cheating the system. I guess it doesn’t count against his party, only the party voters.

Obama is the most liberal Senator, that’s a fact. I doubt he will ever attempt to crank out some sort of bipartisan plan but rather will go directly to the public to put pressure on the congressmen to support his agenda. I really wouldn’t put it past him to do something like that.

Wait…he wouldn’t need to, with the supermajority of Democrats in Congress. He’ll easily get any law passed through. Then all we’ll have to do is hope that the Democrats lose a large amount of seats to the Republicans and show Obama as the incompetent president that he is.

Thank you, Skye, that video gives me goose bumps every time I hear it!!

That’s the America that we are fighting for in this country, and why we must and will win this election for the good of all! I am SO proud to be an American! I love Her with all of my heart, and will, with all of my heart, believe that the greater good will triumph on November 4th, 2008. God bless America!!!

Just remember one thing, America is great not just because it is America, but because “We The People” are American.

Please vote on November 4th.

Remember that no matter what the out come, We The People still have control of this great Country. If we speak they will listen. Stay in touch with your Congressperson, even if only to let them know that you are watching.

God Bless America!
