Obama Lowering Expectations Of His Presidency

Shocking!

Barack Obama’s senior advisers have drawn up plans to lower expectations for his presidency if he wins next week’s election, amid concerns that many of his euphoric supporters are harbouring unrealistic hopes of what he can achieve.

The sudden financial crisis and the prospect of a deep and painful recession have increased the urgency inside the Obama team to bring people down to earth, after a campaign in which his soaring rhetoric and promises of “hope” and “change” are now confronted with the reality of a stricken economy.

One senior adviser told The Times that the first few weeks of the transition, immediately after the election, were critical, “so there’s not a vast mood swing from exhilaration and euphoria to despair”.

The aide said that Mr Obama himself was the first to realise that expectations risked being inflated.

This girl is gonna be a bit pissed I believe

“I never thought this day would happen. I won’t have to work on puttin’ gas in my car. I won’t have to work at payin’ my mortgage. You know. If I help him [Obama], he’s gonna help me.”

Anyone really need the translation here? The Messiahs minions have decided it might be a good idea to prepare everybody for the TRUTH, as none has been forthcoming from the campaign or the MSM. Remember slick Willie biting the famous lip and admitting he couldn’t provide that middle class tax cut, because the Bush people had lied about the nations real financial state of affairs? Well stick around. Hussien would make Clinton look like Saint Bill should he ever admit the lies he’s told. Of course, all will be blamed on the Bush administration. Congress will call for investigations, stating that Bush misrepresentations made it impossible for the Messiah to deliver on his promises. And congress itself? Why our representatives will awaken as though from a deep slumber, outraged that they had been so abused by the evil, lying administration, claiming total innocence and most importantly, total ignorance of the sad, sad state of affairs. Get ready for some real laughers and outrages if the Manchurian Candidate should manufacture enough votes from the dead.

It’s easier to work the crowd with lowered expectations, but that doesn’t mean he will kill his plans. The latest story on MSN on his plans is all tax and spend and he isn’t going to give that up.

It sounds to me like she is saying she won’t have to worry about putting gas in her car or paying her mortgage. I get the impression she thinks if things go bad in her job or life, government will be there to bail her out, not that she does not have to work and government is flat out going to give her these things. I think that this is what Obama is selling, a life with no worries. Either way, he will not be able to deliver, and his message is doing this young lady a disservice.

Obama is selling a life with no worries – not paying taxes? No job? No problem! The government will pay for your every shortcomings – with the money of the evil rich people. With the money of the big bad companies you work for. That’s what he’s selling.

One senior adviser told The Times that the first few weeks of the transition, immediately after the election, were critical, “so there’s not a vast mood swing from exhilaration and euphoria to despair”.

Pretty much trying to build nail-biting suspense. Or maybe they’re getting superstitious and trying to lower their hopes so that they can win – get the opposite of what they want.

Ya’ think Obama would change our national anthem to; “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” for the nation’s kool-aid drinkers.

He has his own national anthem, Rocky. There was a post about it a few days ago. :)

Despair is putting it mildly. When despair happens, we need to be diligent about holding The One accountable so this fraud never happens again! Some people are in for a rough dose of reality.
