The Change We Should Believe In?

Loading

Bill Whittle on that audio released yesterday in which Obama laid out what he really believes:

Socialism:

There is nothing vague or ambiguous about this. Nothing.

From the top: “…The Supreme Court never entered into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And uh, to that extent, as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical.”

If the second highlighted phrase had been there without the first, Obama’s defenders would have bent over backwards trying to spin the meaning of “political and economic justice.” We all know what political and economic justice means, because Barack Obama has already made it crystal clear a second earlier: It means redistribution of wealth. Not the creation of wealth and certainly not the creation of opportunity, but simply taking money from the successful and hard-working and distributing it to those whom the government decides “deserve” it.

This redistribution of wealth, he states, “essentially is administrative and takes a lot of time.It is an administrative task. Not suitable for the courts. More suitable for the chief executive.

Now that’s just garden-variety socialism, which apparently is not a big deal to may voters. So I would appeal to any American who claims to love the Constitution and to revere the Founding Fathers… I will not only appeal to you, I will beg you, as one American citizen to another, to consider this next statement with as much care as you can possibly bring to bear: “And uh, to that extent, as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution — at least as it’s been interpreted, and [the] Warren Court interpreted it in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties: [it] says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.

The United States of America — five percent of the world’s population — leads the world economically, militarily, scientifically, and culturally — and by a spectacular margin. Any one of these achievements, taken alone, would be cause for enormous pride. To dominate as we do in all four arenas has no historical precedent. That we have achieved so much in so many areas is due — due entirely — to the structure of our society as outlined in the Constitution of the United States.

The entire purpose of the Constitution was to limit government. That limitation of powers is what has unlocked in America the vast human potential available in any population.

Barack Obama sees that limiting of government not as a lynchpin but rather as a fatal flaw: “…One of the, I think, the tragedies of the Civil Rights movement was because the Civil Rights movement became so court-focused, uh, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change. And in some ways we still suffer from that.”

There is no room for wiggle or misunderstanding here. This is not edited copy. There is nothing out of context; for the entire thing is context — the context of what Barack Obama believes. You and I do not have to guess at what he believes or try to interpret what he believes. He says what he believes.

This audio should be the magic bullet that halts Obama’s chances at gaining the Presidency in its tracks…but it continues to roll on. His strong belief that limited government is WRONG should scare the bejesus out of you. Our government is strong and prosperous because it was founded on the belief that government should be limited….and now we’re so close to electing someone who will destroy that.

The McCain campaign MUST use those lines in a commercial and bomb the airwaves with them. It would almost gurantee a McCain win.

And then McCain would be attacked more by each paper as a bully and a dirty campaigner. Damned if he does, damned if he dont.

There’s also the video that the L.A. Times is allegedly sitting on. If they would release it or if someone can come up with a copy, surely, (if it exists), there’s more than one?

@Custer:

“And then McCain would be attacked more by each paper as a bully and a dirty campaigner. Damned if he does, damned if he dont.”

So, Damn the MSM torpedos, and full speed ahead!

America has to stay NUMBER ONE. It is the only role model to the World. Democracy, freedom, liberties, rights and capitalism. If USA collapses under Obama, who will become the next model of the World? Russia? Saudi Arabia? North Korea? Who?

I want to remind you again what Sarkozy said at the Congress:

SPEECH BY PRESIDENT SARKOZY BEFORE THE CONGRESS
November 7, 2007

“… America did not tell the millions of men and women who came from every country in the world and who—with their hands, their intelligence and their heart—built the greatest nation in the world: “Come, and everything will be given to you.” She said: “Come, and the only limits to what you’ll be able to achieve will be your own courage and your own talent.” America embodies this extraordinary ability to grant each and every person a second chance.

Here, both the humblest and most illustrious citizens alike know that nothing is owed to them and that everything has to be earned. That’s what constitutes the moral value of America. America did not teach men the idea of freedom; she taught them how to practice it. And she fought for this freedom whenever she felt it to be threatened somewhere in the world. It was by watching America grow that men and women understood that freedom was possible. What made America great was her ability to transform her own dream into hope for all mankind”

I personally don’t remember America ever saying:

“Come, and everything will be given to you.”

But obviously that must be what Middle-Easterners have heard somewhere… Hmm… Maybe from Obama during his last visit?

what happened to the american dream? that if you are hones tand you work hard you will have a decent life, why has the american dream changed to if you show up the government will provide for you?

HAVE YOU SEEN THE OTHER PART OF THAT?

….where he says the Founder Fathers were “blind” and the Constitution “flawed?”

NOW I KNOW WHAT HE MEANS BY AMERICA BEING “BROKEN” AND THAT HE WAS GOING TO “FIX” IT.

Akira’s List of Obama Articles

Do you know why the Dow Jones is not recovering? It is because investors believe that the polls showing Obama will win, is true. No investor in his right mind would take the risk to invest with a fear of “spreading the wealth”.

I am not kidding, see for yourself. Every time Obama is UP in the polls, the Dow Jones goes DOWN. Every time they say that McCain is picking some points, the Dow Jones goes UP. Remarkable!

Now, if Obama wins, the Dow Jones will never recuperate. Your economy will never be flourishing anymore and your country will be doomed to misery and poverty. WOW… is this the change Obama seeks for the U.S.?

Craig,

In one word – yes.

LOL! That that’s what I call a fabulous “three-letter-word” answer, Skye!

Perhaps Biden will book you for basic English language/grammar tutoring, eh?

HERE ARE SEVEN REASONS NOT TO VOTE FOR BARACK OABAMA
http://www.courierpress.com/news/2008/oct/18/heres-7-reasons-to-reject-obama/

1- Obama wants to issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. He even advocated this while in the Illinois Senate.

2- Obama is for gun control. Are you listening, hunters and folks who just want to protect their family in case their home is broken into?

3- Obama approves of baby killing (abortion). He voted to lift the ban on partial-birth abortion.

4- Obama has the former CEO and CFO of the failed Fannie Mae as financial advisors. They helped create this mess, and now they can tell him how to fix it?

5- In 2005, when George Bush, John McCain and others were calling for tighter controls on lending institutions, Obama and others voted against it. Oh, and don’t blame this mess on Bush. Bill Clinton, a Democrat, was the president who pushed for loaning to those whose credit was less than stellar.

6- Obama says he is a Christian, but he has also said, “I will stand with the Muslims if the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” (From his book “Audacity of Hope.”) Do you know what the Muslim goal is? World rule and making conversion to Islam mandatory or be killed. The Koran says this is OK.

7- Obama has the most liberal voting record in the Senate. With Congress under Democratic control, in the interest of good checks and balances, we don’t need a Democrat for president.

You’re forgetting the lack of intelligent judgment in foreign affairs, his affiliation with Rev. Wright, Ayers, and other criminals of the like. There are WAY more than 7 reasons to not vote for Obama.

And McCain flubs yet another golden opportunity to win this election. Call a news conference. This way, you can go over the heads of the MSM and speak directly to the public. Make it clear that Obama, in this radio interview, made the most disgraceful, disgusting and frightening statement ever made by a an American politician. He believes that the Constitution of the Unirted States provides to much freedom to the American people. It provides too much protection for the people from the power of the government. McCain missed this incredible opportunity to make a clear, easily understood and deadly attack. Even the MSM could not have spun this one.

@OLDPUPPYMAX:

Alas, sad but true!
