And if we elect Obama on grounds that he is black, won't the reality of it be that we are racist since we chose the affirmative action president on the content of his skin color and not on the content of character?

Ask her that.

I have a daughter who has told me she supports Obama because he is black, and electing Obama would prove to the world that America is no longer racist.

Can't you just.....you know.....ground her, or something? ;)

Electing Obie would prove to the world that America is not racist?

Who care what the world think? That line of logic falls in with the "The war on terror will be won when we catch OBL"

I will proudly accept the label racist as I vote for McCain/Palin.

Wordsmith: You forgot your own wonderful post on Scott Southworth's adoption of Ala'a:

http://www.floppingaces.net/2007/12/24/the-perfect-christmas-story/#more-3677

It's a pity that CNN didn't cover Southworth's remarks at the McCain rally as they had originally covered it as part of their CNN Heroes series.

I just wish the media would spend as much time looking into Obama's background with Marxists, communists and revoultionary terrorists as they do with finding the handful of angry Republicans who show up at Mccain Palin rallies.

As I type, I am listening to Sarah Palin speak at the McCain rally in Virginia as she introduces John McCain. I haven't heard any nasty screams from the crowd. Maybe if I turn over to CNN they will have a microphone handy just in case one of those Obama plants decides to speak up.

Here's a recent post exactly about the same issue:
http://drslogan.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/is-america-ready/

To quote:
Let me get this straight: I’m all for having people judged for the content of their character and not by for the color of their skin. And that’s precisely why people who consider voting for Mr. Obama because of the color of his skin should think twice before casting their votes. For by doing so they’d be turning Martin Luther King’s dream on its head.
