Scant coverage of the military successes has largely gone unreported since the troop surge in 2007. Where is the news that civilian and troop deaths have declined more than 90%? Roadside bomb attacks are off 88% from last year. A massive effort to eliminate Al-Qaida in Iraq seems to have worked. Hundreds of thousands of refugees are expected to return to help rebuild Iraq. The U.S. has handed responsibility for security to Iraqi forces in 10 provinces. Anbar Province which was in chaos 3 years ago is under going the “Anbar Awakening” with largely peaceful streets and cities instead of house-to-house battles. There are other successes to numerous to list here. The media stopped covering the war just as the U.S. started winning it, and Obama is ignorant of what is really happening in Iraq.
