McCain did a better job at picking a VP(ilf) than Iowa and New Hampshire did at picking a Presidential Nominee.
Good idea, just made contribution and put the referring name as Sarah Palin! Never thought I would make a contribution to McCain seeing as how my vote was against a candidate rather then for one but with Palin on the ticket that’s all changed.

i am very glad to se a woman who is strong yet keeps her female qualities. she seems to have it all, a great family, a great job and a very good mind, and she is fearless. i have always wondered why most women in politics always seem like they are busting everyones balls and trying to “outman” the men. it doesn’t make them look like a good candidate/politician, it makes them look like angry man hating feminists. just my opinion mind you. i am glad mccain picked her, she is true in her beliefs and isn’t afraid to make the tough choices. go sarah!!!

The baby they carry around all the time who is ALWAYS sleeping is really a doll and the daughter is really pregnant. When the daughter has her baby they will announce that Sarah’s down syndrome doll baby died. Why would they have a fake baby? To pretend that Sarah had a baby. And who names a baby Trig?? is that short for Trigger? SHE DIDNT NOT GIVE BIRTH TO ANY BABY IN APRIL!!!! WHERE ARE THE PREGNANCY PICS???? YOU WONT FIND ONE!!!!

The baby is real and Palin’s daughter is really pregnant but the down syndrome baby was birthed by the 13 year old or the 17 year old. I just finished watching the speech. Very encouraging. I know it was a set piece but she’s better than Obama at that. Better speechwriters too.
As to when she was chosen. I believe that McCain picked her, whether consciously or not, in February when he first met her. He found his wingman.

Public speaking is an art which “SmarmyPants” doesn’t understand. I guess she’s confused by the absence in Palin’s speech of uh’s, um’s, ….just a minute’s, I’ll uh, think of um it’s, etc., etc.

I am quite aware that she had a large hand in the speech. I am also aware that the McCain team has some very talented writers. They have been very complimentary towards her. The test will come in the debate and the unscripted moments. From all that I have seen she will shine. But we wont know until it happens.
I watched the first one – Kennedy/Nixon. Pretty good. Been all downhill from there. This is the most interesting election since I started watching in 1952. Better than soap operas and Seinfeld.

I’ve seen many videos of Sarah speaking off the cuff, and none of her formal/teleprompter speech abilities. I suspect you’ll be pleasantly surprised. And she can get her very defined opinions out a lot faster than Obama can nuance and dance around his non-answers…
And agreed… there’s been more than a few times I thought about sitting this election out. In Oregon, my vote’s not likely to count for much but in the populan national tally.
However Palin makes all the difference in the world in this election. And I suspect she will re’ignite that maverick in McCain, and keep his tush more on the conservative side.
