DENVER - Democrats will kneel before the “Temple of Obama” tonight.

As if a Rocky Mountain coronation were not lofty enough, Barack Obama will aim for Mount Olympus when he accepts his party’s nomination atop an enormous, Greek-columned stage - built by the same cheesy set team that put together Britney Spears’ last tour.

“We’ve done Britney’s sets and a whole bunch of rock shows, but this was far more elaborate and complicated and we had to do it in far less time,” said Allen, of RDA Entertainment.

“The biggest challenge has been making sure we don’t damage the playing field underneath.”

Asked who is harder to satisfy - the Democrats or Britney - Allen replied: “I better not answer that.”

the first thing i thought of when i saw it was the beverly hillbillys, no idea why, but there it is. whats wrong with the stage types other candidates have used? is this because he is the chosen one, the messiah? all that waste, they could have fed a small country with what that cost.

Here is another hope and change acceptance speech, this one is written for Jimmy Carter when he won the Democratic primary in 1976. I bet 90% of that speech will show up in Obama’s speech tonight.

What’s wrong with the stage types other candidates have used?? Good question take a look at the Link Fit Fit put on his statement in this string!! None other than Geroge W Bush. They used the same type of Pillars for his acceptance speech. So you that think this is some sort of greek temple give me a break. The same type of pillars are used on the Lincoln Memorial. They are also on many other federal and capitol buildings in this country.

This stage was set up by the same crew and company that sets up many stages in the Denver area. They had two weeks to plan it and one week to put it up.

That’s even more funny… so Obama’s campaign of “change” and “change the way Washington does business” ripped off the design for the 2004 GOP Convention stage in Madison Sq Garden, and just made it bigger (and built it for only one day…)? Kewl…. What an imagination. What “change”! And what a *chunk’o'change” as an expense. That boy do know how to spend a buck. LOL

But of course, since Bush was a sitting POTUS, his round staired tier could have the Presidential seal as the floor. Bet O’s missing his own “seal” for his tier floor…

Me? Don’t give a whit about the set itself. Just find it ironic he used Britney’s set designer….

It would seem that Certified Real American Patriot ( or CRAP for short) is getting a bit defensive about this latest overreach by Obama. Citing President Bush as justification after spending 8 years damning him as the greatest evil ever to befall America seems like a poor choice of words.

And as for Obama’s Britney Spear’s stage… I’m wondering if he will perform one of Britney’s famous dance numbers with or without panties.
