Obama Unable Answer Question About Human Rights for Babies

Want to know why Obama ducks debates?

Pastor Rick Warren moderated the Civil Forum on the Presidency Saturday evening with Barack Obama and John McCain. It was primarily a discussion on values.

During the discussion, Warren asked Obama “At what point does a baby get human rights in your view:”

Obama: “Well,*sigh* yo, I, I think that whether you are looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, uh, answering that question with specificity, uh, you know is, is, above my pay grade.”

Democrats are constantly touting themselves as the defender of human rights and the weakest among us and their candidate can’t even state the point he believes a baby deserves human rights?

Yet progressive socialists in Spain are now granting legal rights to apes?

Do America’s voters really want to put someone in the White House so unsure of the basic value of a human life?

Obama on abortion …

“answering that question with specificity … is above my pay grade.”

Well he got that right. Harry “the buck stops here” Truman he ain’t.

This was equivalent to Obama voting “present” .. yet again.

Now the Democratic leadership is demanding more that the “Hope and Change” speeches and they probably aren’t going to get it. He maybe Anti-Republican, but he isn’t offering the Democratic side either. He just stampers around waiting for the election to end.

The Obama performance at Saddleback sets the tone for the most content-free convention in history that is about to take place in Denver.
If the Clintons are not going to try to settle this once and for all in a smoke-filled room, they are going to do their best to make themselves look so good compared to the Nuremburg rally scheduled by Obamorons that sober Democrats are going to come away with the feeling they nominated the wrong person. Too bad.
McCain’s outing gives Republicans less buyers remorse and more of a reason to support him.

The above my pay grade comment should make for one of the most memorable campaign ads in history. In fact, a series of ads would be in order. As a leftist it is mandatory that issues be dodged and questions be ignored. The American public would quickly reject this clown if he were to ever be truthful about his beliefs and agenda. But to have made this unbelievable comment…can you imagine the MSM attack if McCain had come up with this breathtaking stall??!! Obama will be successful in defeating himself if he continues to appear in unscripted events. I’m willing to bet that his yes men are telling him that right now. And his big money masters are undoubtedly telling him “no more!” Go to the convention, continue to avoid the media and shut up.

Above my pay grade!! Absolutely astoundingly ignorant. Here in all his magnificence the ONE shows he’s not the ONE. The total number of UMS, and Aahs are to hard to keep track of, but stupid statements stick out like a sore thumb. This guy is actually being considered as Leader of the free world? The Democrapic party as finally gone around the bend. Wake up America do you really want this completely INANE excuse for a candidate to be elected so far above his pay grade?

So you think that, theologically speaking, determining when life begins is at Obama’s pay grade? You think he is God? And here I thought the whole time that you were referring to him as “The Messiah” mockingly. You meant it, though. Fascinating.

McCain actually dropped the ball here. If life begins at conception then his answer to the question of stem cell research means it’s ok to sacrifice human beings in the name of science. He should condemn both embryonic stem cell research and the fertilization practices that produced those embryos.

Once the good preacher dropped the word ‘baby’ into the question the ‘discussion’ was red meat to the base.

At least if he would have said, “At birth,” we could respect the fact that he had an actual opinion. He’s not God, but as a U.S. Senator and possible future President of the United States, his opinions have a lot of bearing on the policies of our nation. If he can’t even answer that one question about when he believes life begins, how can he lead the nation in developing a policy about it?

By saying life begins at conception, you don’t automatically rule out abortion as an option. Individuals, governments, and religions search for the balance of protecting one life over another every day. The abortion debate is no different.

Wisdom: Obama can’t say “at birth” because he voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act in the Illionois Senate which would have protected babies born alive during abortions:

Dim Wit: Is that all you got? You must be running out of material. No matter, I’m sure headquarters will be downloading the next batch of talking points to you any minute. They sure don’t want you to think for yourself. (though that’s not likely to happen with you now is it?)

Warren didn’t ask Obama for his opinion as a theologin or as a scientist, but as a person who wants to be the leader of this country. Obama clearly was trying to evade answering honestly to the question in front of people who think his position is morally repugnant. The “above my pay grade” line won’t make it into the MSM, but certainly will show up in campaign ads.

I find it strange. Why aren’t the laws consistent?

For example, a woman can have an abortion in the third trimester. (Which I believe should be a crime). However, that fetus has zero rights.

But, someone like Scott Peterson kills his wife and unborn child. He was charged with two counts of murder?

How can you charge someone with murder if the fetus has no rights?

Dead Weight weighs in with his ignorance flag a’flying again. Messiah is Hebrew for the “annointed one”. In Christianity, it is used to describe a divine personage who will initiate the kingdom of God on earth. God and Christ are one in spirit, but different entities… one was of flesh and blood.

To confuse Jesus Christ the Messiah with God the Father is the mark of one sans knowledge of Christian doctrine.

All things considered, “His Messiahship” aptly describes not only Obama’s opinion of self, but of what his merry band of gullible followers see him.

DW 5000 so he can’t answer what the scientific answer is, either? To think that Barry Obama didn’t know that a question like this was going to come up, and be properly prepared for it is amazing. I can see it now.

PM Putin: ” So, Mr. President…what do you think we should do about the enclaves of my loyal citizens in Georgia?”

President Obama: ““Well, I, I think that whether you are looking at it from a territorial integrity perspective or an ethnic unity perspective, uh, answering that question with specificity, uh, you know is, is, above my pay grade.”
