And don’t miss Jake Tapper’s acerbic commentary as one of the media who are “denied access”….

One of the comments on the Jake Tapper article was “what else will he change once he’s POTUS?”
His “seal” will become the Presidential Seal.
Imagine if you will (or can)… the Black House. Or maybe even the Rainbow house…but that White House schtick has gotta go!

Actually, I think an “O” is quite appropriate for some one with zero qualifications, zero experience, and zero when it comes to substance. The only thing the man has more of is plenty of media prostituting themselves while wondering why the polls have both candidates in a virtual tie.

Chrissy Matthews is currently whining that the democratic party is not united…..bwaaaa……..he says Bill Clinton’s not on board and Hillary is not on Obama’s side. Morning Joe thinks Obama should be ahead in the polls by 30%.

Mata, you disappoint me with this.

McCain’s plane doesn’t have a flag anywhere on it as far I can see. I know this is a subjective opinion, but McCain’s splashing his name in huge letters all over the new straight talk express seems much more arrogant.

At any rate it’s quite a trivial thing to complain about. spittle rises? Really?

I know the dhimmi’s (men) got their panties in a knot about him using it in the past. That is allowed you know, she’s the only rich (earned) person in the world, according to the dhimmi’s. The super rich dhimmi’s don’t count, they stole or were given (was not earned) their riches.

McCain has what all men dream of. A rich, good looking woman who owns a beer company. No wonder the left wing losers are full of hate, or is that envy?

Sorry if this has been answered already, but I’ve been busy. Is this a campaign trip or a congressional trip? I mean… is this being funded by the government or is he using his campaign cash to fly around? If he is using government cash, why does get to campaign on the government’s dime? And he is campaigning loudly, banners, painted jet, signs, etc.

Fit Fit… yes, McCain has his slogan and name on the plane’s fuselage. But McCain still incorporates a flag on his campaign jet. But I will agree… this is somewhat nitpicky of me. And for that I apologize.

I think it’s the culmination of BHO BS overload, and a failure of too many to not see thru the pyrotechnics and flash to the man and his personal arrogance. What especially bothers me about this is, once again, Obama demonstrates how little pride he has in this country - indicated by his choice to remove all traces of US symbolism, other than what is required for aviation ID.

Before BHO left for this trip, I merely despised his socialist and affirmative action policies. He has demonstrated arrogance in primary debates, etal. But when I watched him on this trip, saw how distant he seemed from our troops, watched this be an “all about me” visit as a Senator or global “citizen”, I am very disturbed by this man’s quest for personal power.

I am even more disturbed at the media, and a public who can not seem to put together the effect this man will have on the American citizen’s paycheck, and our economic growth. His intent at every turn seems to dilute national pride, and replace it with a “global” pride. Many thought Bush Jr. was an internationalist. I say to them, BHO is the quintessential internationalist.

But back to the planes.

On the Back-spin blog’s post about this he posted an air shot of what was supposed to be McCain’s plane. However at the bottom he is assuming it is a photoshop’ed fake as a corporate pilot wrote in to his blog:

Had to comment on this. I am a corporate pilot. We were parked near McCain’s plane last Friday. It was a 737 and had a flag on the front of the fuselage. I am guessing you have a photoshopped pic. I have pics if you would like.

The pilot’s comments that at least one flag appears on the fuselage are confirmed by the maiden voyage of the Straight Talk Express campaign yet, and the photos from an LA Times June 30th If there is a second flag near the front of the fuselage, it is hidden behind the stairs in this photo. (Note correction: the link said it was an LA Times story, but this link leads to the Fox story instead…)

Here is another shot of “Air Force O”… (or would that be zero… LOL) from No Quarter’s post on the same subject. Apparently, even the HRC ardent supporters are offended that:

As a patriotic American citizen, I am embarrassed that a presumptive presidential candidate would fail to display a core symbol of the United States of America.

As a patriotic American citizen, I’ve been somewhat concerned about Barack Obama’s failure to put his hand over his heart during the playing of the National Anthem as well as his blather when he was forced to explain why he didn’t wear the popular flag pin.

As a patriotic American citizen, I am deeply concerned that the Democratic party may nominate a candidate who is solely focused on displaying his OWN image and symbols rather than those of his party and his country.

Not only is his plane’s symbolism unpatriotic, it is also narcissistic.

Notice that, behind the cockpit, where it would have been possible to display even a small token symbol of Old Glory, again the Obama logo is chosen.

I don’t often agree with SusanUNpc. But in this case, she echoes my thoughts

This is a problem if you value symbolism over reality. What does it actually mean? After all, Klansmen carry the flag when they march. Does that make them Presidential material? They also feature the cross prominently when they do their thing. Does that mean that Klan behavior is Christian behavior? Of course not.

Guy takes the flag off his plane, then blows off the largest American community outside the US at Ramstein so that he can give a speech to Germans in front of a memorial that Hitler built….

….and MSNBC calls the trip a success.

I’m gonna disagree.

Seems to me that he showed arrogance in refusing to acknowledge the success of The Surge, and that he showed weakness when he came out and openly admitted that his policy towards Pakistan, towards Iran, and towards unilateralism were all the same as the Bush Admin’s.

Toss in the flag erasing bit, the Ramstein blow off, and the po’d press members…I’d say it was a the worst experience of his campaign for the White House. I thought I was gonna cry laughing so hard when I saw the comparison between his “now is our time” speech and the Mikey speech from Goonies on YouTube. OMG! That was SO FUNNY!

Scott typed:

Not quite Scott.

From der Spiegel:

Still, even as the issue of his speech’s location has now been settled, a number of politicians in Berlin are still dissatisfied with the site. The Siegessäule — or Victory Column — was erected in memory of Prussia’s victories over Denmark (1864), Austria (1866) and France (1870/71). The column originally stood in front of the Reichstag, Germany’s parliament building, but was moved by Adolf Hitler to its current location in 1939 to make way for his planned transformation of Berlin into the Nazi capital “Germania.”

From the Washington Post:

Since German reunification, the column has become known as the central location for Berlin residents to party.

Fit Fit and Word. I agree that publishing the content of Obama’s prayer note inserted into the Western Wall is an unwarranted, and unneeded intrusion.

That said, based on his prayer, I guess we can expect not to hear from BHO’s lips, “God bless America”, as Bush often says. In fact, had Bush been reported saying “and make me an instrument of your will”, the libs/progressives and atheists would be all over him like flies with their likening to the Messiah… a title that BHO now bears.

Actually I do, and it’s not actually a virus.

Some time ago I managed to anger some liberals. Although I’m aware of the fact that correlation does not necessarily imply causation, within a day I had all 30 of my sites plagued with some malicious code. To be more specific, there was an inline frame that attempted to open adult oriented advertisements if the web surfer was using Internet Explorer. My servers blocked the IP address of the offending site and a major backlash ensued between Google’s listing and my sites.

All of that is resolved now. Considering that between all of my sites I have millions of lines of code and the offending code has to be removed manually I probably missed one.

“Of course, on the tour we were told Adolf put it there.” — Scott Malensek

As Stoner pointed out….

“The monument originally stood in front of the Reichstag, Germany’s parliament building.
It was moved to its current location, on the Grosser Stern plaza in the middle of the city’s Tiergarten park, in the late 1930s as part of never-completed plans by Adolf Hitler’s architect, Albert Speer, for a grandiose remake of Nazi Germany’s capital, which was to be renamed “Germania.”

CHANGE THEY BELIEVED IN!

How Obama of them - so ahead of their time.

Oh, and don’t worry about your error, Scott. It’s relatively minor, and now that you know the facts you will correct it. Stoner’s history revisionism, however, is far less benign. If I may remind you of his preposterous assertions about Reps, Dems and Civil Rights? In fact, the only reason he’s correcting you is not his love of truth, but to stroke his true love, his own ego.

Now I’m hearing that Obama’s people might have leaked a copy of the note to the press, first. Sounds like he expected his note would be read by others, so prepared his private note with deliberation on the contents, in the event of its publication.
