President Bush has been stereotyped as a shoot-first/ask-later kinda cowboy who prefers to use force rather than diplomacy.  It’s been a successful political campaign to create and market that image despite the fact that he’s only attacked 1 country-Saddam’s Iraq-in the last 8yrs (recall that Pres Bush could have attacked Afghanistan in 1/01 in response to the USS Cole attack, but he foolishly chose diplomacy instead, and subsequently the US counter-attacked that nation 9months later).

So much for the idea that the Bush Administration can’t do diplomacy.

…let’s see how well the North Koreans hold to their agreement this time (particularly now that they’ve agreed not just with the US as they did in the past, but with 4 other nations as well!).

Odd thing: I didn’t see the United Nations mentioned in this article.  Surely they were key to resolving the regional nuclear crisis.  No?
