Iran Photos of Missile Test Faked

Well, at least partially faked.

Here’s the photo the world saw:

But…welp, here’s the real photo:

And here’s how they did it (perhaps a Hezzbollah or AP class on poor photoshopping? Note the smoke trail repetition; a clear evidence of use of the CLONE tool)

I wonder if any of the newspapers, cable news channels, The Daily Show/Keith Olbermann, or wire services will acknowledge it, report it, and apologize?

They have once again failed to fulfill their duty and responsibility to report accurate information so therefore, they owe their viewers, listeners, and readers an apology.

It’s ok fitfit…apologies seem so unlikely to me as well. I just can’t see Chris Matthews saying, “oops, the Iranians duped me”

On the other hand, I can easily envision Keith Olbermann blaming President Bush for exaggerating intelligence on how many missiles were fired. No?

I saw the old woman holding bullets and photos on the link. I thought don’t these people ever take baths? And is she holding her sandwich wrap in her left hand? Gross photoshops. I could have done without that thought.

Why would the Daily Show (or anyone else that isn’t the Iranian govt) apologize for something they had nothing to do with?

Apologize for being duped and reporting false images. See, their job is to be truthful and honest, not dishonest. Even The Daily Show is supposed to be honest (although satirical and funny-kinda like Keith Olbermann’s show).
