The Church of England is no longer a religious organization but a political one and has been such for hundreds of years.  I&#039;ll go even further and say the Church of England has never been a religious organization only a pseudo one.  It&#039;s very beginning was fraught with politics of one type or another.  Aristocrats did not know what to do with their younger sons at those times.  The only thing available was the army, the navy or the church.  Members of the clergy were not devout leaders then and definitely are not today.</description>
