4th of July Reagan Humor Encore

A great American Patriot. And FUNNY too!

My second favorite Reagan photo. Taken by me November 16, 1988 on the occasion of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s last State Visit to the White House. She worked hand in hand with President Reagan to defeat communism and make the world a safer place with real peace and real justice to those trapped for decades behind the Iron Curtain.

Everyone alive at the time knows that Ronald Reagan was a strong anti-communist. He used to make some real funny jokes about communism and it drove the lefties in this country mad. Not only did do the lefties have an affinity for the state control over every aspect of life that communism represents (global warming anyone?) but they thought that Reagan’s Cold Warrior personna, even in humor, was dangerous and could upset the Reds.

We’ll Reagan did upset the Reds. And Reagan also caused the Soviets to see that he wouldn’t back down and that it was in their best interests to end the Cold War.

And Reagan was right.
